    I already own these books, but would love to have that beautiful set! I devoured these books. They are amazing. Mockingjay’s ending was soooo sad and not the way I wanted to see the series end. I’m a happy ending lover. But, it was a realistic ending, and there’s a lot to be said for that.
    Something spooky . . . Boo!

  28. I loved this series! I only borrowed my brother’s set so it would be great to have copies of my own 🙂 Well I have a spooky story to share…I live at my grandparent’s house which is really really old. Every night around 3 or 4 am there will be a sound around our backyard of someone sweeping with a broom. I noticed this last year when I started spending a lot of time at our back porch usually just reading or using my laptop. And the sound doesn’t just stay in one place! It’ll go around the house as if someone who’s doing sweeping was walking around with it. Well it was spooky because we didn’t even have neighbors who lived near enough to be the ones sweeping in the middle of the night. Mind you that our house is surrounded by trees so that makes it even more creepier. Well to this day, it still happens and remains to be a mystery 🙂

    Now it’s not spooky but it’s just a halloween joke.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A woman whose husband often came home drunk decided to cure him of the habit. One Halloween night, she put on a devil suit and hid behind a tree to intercept him on the way home.
    When her husband came by, she jumped out and stood before him with her red horns, long tail, and pitchfork.
    “Who are you?” he asked.
    “I’m the Devil,” she responded.
    “Well, come on home with me,” he said, “I married your sister.”
  48. Something spooky. . I’ll tell you about my experience on sleep paralysis. From now it happened 3 times, the first one was weird but the last one was the worst, imagine you can’t move your body and you’re focusing on one thing, this thing is a silhouette of a man or something and its getting closer and closer to you but you can’t see clearly if it’s a man. Everything inside my head was mixed up that night and I feel relieved when I finally back into my senses. Creepy!
    It was because of Hunger Games that I embraced the book world, I didn’t have a copy but that version makes me want it. Thanks for a chance!
  50. Anne C says:
    A spooky thing that happened to me when I was 10 or 11. I was woken up in the middle of the night by bright light inside my room. The light was coming from a short human form that was standing with it’s back to me. It seemed to be staring at the stand fan. I’m not easily scared and I thought that thing/being was my dad’s soul roaming around while he slept so I said “Papa” out loud. The thing/being jumped as if shocked that I was there, awake. As it turned his face towards me, it quickly dissipitated until it vanished. I felt fear then and went under the covers. I couldn’t go out to run to my parent’s room. I fell asleep eventually.
  52. Elizabeth says:
    The comment above about sleep paralysis made me remember the only time I’ve experienced sleep paralysis. My mind had started to wake up but it wasn’t communicating with my body. I couldn’t move at all. I tried to shift my legs and just felt nothing. I started to panic and in my dream-stated I started praying. After a few moments I was able to move my legs, then my head, and then I woke up. I didn’t know what had happened – I hadn’t heard of sleep paralysis before – but it definitely was spooky!
    Thanks for the chance to win. 🙂 egholtrop at gmail dot com
  56. January says:
    I find this creepy:
    It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren’t being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP.
    Thanks for the awesome giveaway! 😀
    These editions are so beautiful! As for something spooky, I can tell you about Caribbean folklore. It’s a Guyanese folklore about a creature called a buck. They are short people who have magical powers. If someone obtains them they can grant wealth, in exchange the person feed the buck milk and allows him to live in his attic. If the person ever stops providing the food and shelter for the buck then bad luck and suffering will follow the family.
    I always thought the folklore was creepy, my imagination runs wild when I try to picture a buck. Thank you for the giveaway! 🙂
  64. What an awesome giveaway!! I so loved the Hunger Games Trilogy and I can’t wait to get my hands on them..
    Actually, I can see ghost, yeah for real I’m not kidding. I’m not making a story just so I could win this giveaway. I really can see ghost. It happened when I was four or five, the lights are on and I’m sleeping though I know in myself that I am awake, then a hand grabbed my legs!! For real!! I saw the hand, the nails are long and I swear to god that it was a woman. 2nd story, i was reading a newspaper in my room, the door was open, and there’s a really huge mirror outside that you can really see the whole 2nd floor of our house, then I saw a guy through the mirror, I just know that it was a guy because he’s body is huge, however, I didn’t saw his face because it was full black then he entered a room and locked the door!!! I l screamed and called my uncle to check the room, when we checked it, there is no one in there. I have so many creepy experiences including doppelgangers. I want you to know that I’m not making this all up. xoxo
  67. I haven’t read these books!! What a great giveaway. Okay…something spooky. I grew up in a haunted house. No, I really did. Many nights, I would lie away, too terrified to sleep, as I listened footsteps walk up the stairs to the attic, and then pace back and forth in the attic. The story is that my great-grandfather hid a rifle upstairs and told no one where it was. My grandparents searched for it, to no avail, after his death, since it was left to my father in my great-grandfather’s will. My father saw my great-grandfather’s ghost, who told him specifically where to find it, hidden behind the boards in the walls of the attic. He had to count the floor boards to get to the proper board in the wall. No one believed my dad’s tale. He marched upstairs, counted the floor boards, yanked the board out of the wall, and out fell the rifle. I am following your blog by both email and bloglovin’. michelle_willms(at)yahoo(dot)com.
