MY REVIEW
Erotic stories are quickly becoming must reads for me. I had no idea just how good they were. Sure, there are lots of graphic sex scenes and language, but there’s also some great stories to go with the steaminess.
So, it started out with hot, erotic sex right from the first page. Knowing this was a short novella, I was thinking uh-oh. But I pressed on, just knowing the author was going somewhere with this. And she was.
A vampire king and a fae princess are the only characters you’ll be meeting in this book. There’s mention of Jolie’s abusive mother, but you’ll not meet her. She’s mentioned to help you understand why Jolie is so torn in her decision.
She’s destined to kill the vampire king to save her entire species, but it’s not going to be easy to kill the one who pleasures her to the point of insanity.
Nicolas is determined to own Jolie. He’s not nice. He’s cruel and demanding and such a manipulator. He’ll use every power he possesses to control her.
Jolie’s equally determined to maintain control. She’ll not be owned. She’ll not be dominated. She’ll not give in.
The really wild thing is, this war of wills is being played out during a marathon sex duel. Each is determined to make the other give in, to make the other reach that climatic moment first.
If you like explicit sex along with intense internal battles, you’ll love Claiming Ecstasy. I applaud Madeline for being able to make me blush and agonize over this battle of wills. I wanted a happy ending, but I wasn’t sure which ending would make me happy. After finishing the story, I wanted more. I wanted to know where it went from there. Whether the ending was good for Nicolas and Jolie or a disaster.

Blurb
Jolie Dupree is prophesied to bring an end to the deadly war waging between the vampires and the Seelie court. Groomed from birth by a vicious mother, Jolie knows her future can only end in blood–and the murder of the one man she can’t resist. Consumed with guilt, Jolie can’t fight the lure of Nicolas Larkin, the vampire king. She returns to him over and over, every caress of pain and every stroke of pleasure drawing her deeper into the darkness. She must decide between the concrete and the chaos, the light and the dark, for her choice will tip the scales between good and evil, and quite possibly cost Jolie her soul.

Thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew!
Yay!! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed this quickie!! <3 It's always very scary publishing something is a little … different. Claiming Ecstasy really pushed my boundaries as a writer (the shorter things are, the more difficult it is to write, LOL), so I'm more than thrilled to know you loved it.
Hi Madeline! I read a lot of short stories and collections and my reviews for them are tougher. As you mentioned, they are more difficult to write and I find they are more difficult to review without putting in spoilers. Your story was a battle of the mind and the body and was so unique. I didn’t come up for air until the end. With a limited amount of words I came to know your characters, what drove them and also had me wanting to know what happens to them next, earning Claiming Ecstasy 5 Stars.
Whew, it’s a little warm in here.
And gets warmer and warmer and hotter and hotter! LOL
Sizzling. Think I need a fan.
Or a really cold shower!LOL This was so out there and so good!
