It seems a few of the homeless have disappeared without any logical explanation.

Valens Remembered
The Valens of Legacy 0.5
By Sherrel Lee
As Larinda Nix Thomas buries her adoptive parents, who died in a deadly echo of the accident that took her birth parents, hidden documents reveal that she is being threatened by a sinister force and that she shouldn’t trust even her closest allies.
Fate demands she accept her place among the Valens as a shapeshifter, a unicorn, which brings more changes to her life than she could have imagined and puts her on a collision course with her ultimate destiny. In this prequel to the Valens series myth is rewritten, fantasy and science fiction blend to create a chilling story of death, loss, and discovery.

Thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew!
Okay, the blurb grabbed me and the quote piqued my interest. I’ll have to put this on my wishlist.
I’m lucky and have the second book too. I’ll be reading these one right after the other.
When I read the title, I thought maybe it was an autobiography of Ritchie Valens… lol… I was waaaaaaaay off. 🙂
I like unicorns much more, just so you know. 🙂
Happy weekend!
Yeah, I’ll take the unicorns! I confess I thought the same thing. LOL
Oh, it always starts with the homeless. They might not be as tasty to the monsters, but they’re easily missed…
It does make it easier to get away with the crime. Reminds of the movie Wolfen.
A shapeshifting unicorn!? First time I’ve heard of anything like that!
It’s a good thing. Lots of new shifters in this series. Some are really scary.
All I needed to see was the cover. ^_^
Wait until you see the cover for Valens Rise. I am in love with these books!
