My Teaser for today is from
White Heart Of Justice
A Noon Onyx Novel
by Jill Archer
Genre: YA paranormal/fantasy romance
Teaser #1 from page 37.
I was a waning magic user. My magic was deadly and my purpose was to be a demon peace-keeper, which sometimes meant I needed to execute rogare demons. I didn’t like killing, but I was capable of doing it.
Teaser #2 from page 85.
We both knew what the next part of the story was. It was the black moment of every story, the part where it all goes to hell.

Book Description:
Since Lucifer claimed victory at Armageddon, demons, angels, and humans have coexisted in uneasy harmony. Those with waning magic are trained to maintain peace and order. But hostilities are never far from erupting…
After years of denying her abilities, Noon Onyx, the first woman in history to wield waning magic, has embraced her power. She’s won the right to compete in the prestigious Laurel Crown Race—an event that will not only earn her the respect of her peers but also, if she wins, the right to control her future.
However, Noon’s task is nearly impossible: retrieve the White Heart of Justice, a mythical sword that disappeared hundreds of years ago. The sword is rumored to be hidden in a dangerous region of Halja that she is unlikely to return from. But Noon’s life isn’t the only thing hanging in the balance. The sword holds an awesome power that, in the wrong hands, could reboot the apocalypse—and Noon is the only one who can prevent Armageddon from starting again…

How about you? Got a tease? Tell me!
Sounds awesome! I’m drawn to that cover too!
From Stephen King ‘s MR. MERCEDES (published today):
“He thought of cupping his hands around his mouth, raising his voice, and asking the crowd, WHO HERE HAS READ THE GRAPES OF WRATH?” (2%)
From Ramsey Campbell’s SECRET STORY, which I started reading last night:
“Flies like black lumps of mindlessness bumbled into his face while a sour burned taste gathered in his mouth.” (P. 40)
A new Stephen King and it sounds odd. Must know more when you are finsihed! Secret Story reads very descriptively. Another for my summer reading list. Thanks for these great teases Mallory:)
*swooning*
🙂
The cover got me first. I was so lucky to have won the ARC paperback. It’s even more lovely in physical format. About 2/3 thru it now.
That’s an amazing cover! Even though this isn’t my usual genre, I like your Teasers and think I could get caught up in this story.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog.
Hi Sandra. I enjoyed your tease too. I’m trying all different kinds of genres now, even some erotic, and finding excellent writing.
Forgot to add, I live for Teaser Tuesday:)
Me too! I agonize over which book to use and which tease. LOL
And reading everybody elses to find new books and authors! It sometimes akes me a few days to go see all of them.
