Cruelty
Episode Five
by Edward Lorn
Genre: Horror
MY REVIEW
Right out of the gate Twon and Ollie pull a ‘stupid criminal’ stunt. I can’t believe the author let these losers last this long.
Poor Innis is stuck in a hideous nightmare, but she’d rather endure that than wake up to Cruelty. Once she enters the shack, she just might need to rethink that.
Forgiveness is feeding off of Frank, Natalie, and Nell. Poor Nell. She’s already in a meltdown before this happens.
Randy, along with his sidekick Merlo the cowardly dog is driving around in his squad car, trying to get a grip on the FUBAR at the station.
With Cruelty coming out to play and Forgiveness roaming loose, things get uglier and uglier.
This is the best episode yet. The horror is relentless and it just keeps coming, wave after wave of it. And the story is really starting to come together. It’ll be very interesting when everyone meets in the middle.
Cruelty Episodes 1 thru 5 is now available as an Omnibus. You can get 5 times the horror in one reading. I recommend you give it a go. It’s priced to steal. Horror like this makes you feel alive.

Synopsis
Episode Five.
IN THE EXPLOSIVE MID-SEASON FINALE…
Nell Morgan, Trooper Natalie Holden, and State Investigator Markum find the fragile thread of reality unspooling.
Things go real bad, real quick as it becomes painfully obvious to Twon and Ollie that escaping Kerr County Medical Center unscathed will be a task far more difficult than they could have imagined.
Still reeling from his run-in with Forgiveness, Sheriff Randy Miser is called to a situation in progress. Can this day get any worse?
With Forgiveness out about town, Cruelty finds temptation’s call all too seductive.
So many playthings. So little time.

Edward Lorn is an American horror author presently residing in the southeast United States. He enjoys storytelling, reading, and writing biographies in the third person. Once upon a time, during a session of show and tell, a seven-year-old Edward Lorn shared with his class that his baby brother had died over the weekend. His classmates, the teacher included, wept while he recounted the painful tragedy of having lost a sibling. Edward went home that day and found an irate mother waiting for him. Edward’s teacher had called to express her condolences. This was unfortunate, as Edward had never had a baby brother. With advice given to her by a frustrated teacher, Edward’s mother made him start writing all of his lies down. The rest, as they say, is history. Edward Lorn and his wife are raising two children, along with a handful of outside cats and a beagle named Dot. He remains a liar to this day. The only difference is, now he’s a useful one.

Even the photo of the author is creepy enough. Thanks for the giveaway.
The photo goes well with his bio and makes me think he’s daring me.
I have to rework that bio and update. We’ve since lost the cats (sad panda) and the dog is not living with my mother (sad panda part two).
Reblogged this on Ruminating On: and commented:

Keep commenting and it ups your chances!!
Would absolutely love to win 1-5, they sound deliciously dark 🙂
Good luck, Claire!
Will there be signed hardbacks because Cruelty needs to be on my book shelves.
Yes there will, but not until the story is complete. The hardcover edition will have roughly 15,000 words of additional content. Should be a nice, thick book. 🙂
I was lucky enough to win this on another giveaway and am halfway through the first five. Awesome stuff, E!
Thanks, Adam. Much appreciated. 🙂
Pretty sure this series will be right up my alley. Thanks 🙂
It did it for me!

So do I!
Just finished part 5 fanf*ckingtastic everything about this series is awesome and I’m looking forward to more forgiveness.
Thanks, Paul!
I love everything E. writes. I’ve read the first four books of Cruelty, but I haven’t started on the fifth one yet. I really need to go back and re-read the first four before I embark on the final one (and get caught up on my reviews). Or better yet, I need the latest edition that has all five installments on it. My messed up, old brain needs help! lol
I did that. Read from 1 to 5. By the fourth episode I was freaking and by the time Forgiveness got done with me I was floored. I can’t even imagine what’s coming next. E may need us to sign a waiver, “Read at your own risk!”
Oh wow this serial series sounds awesome! Hope I win 😀
Good luck!
Cannot wait for this!! I can feel the creepy crawlies already 😀
“Mah-Mah.” 😉
These seem deliciously creepy! And no comments on the author. LOL While I’m not feeling particularly lucky, it doesn’t stop me from entering! Thanks for the giveaway.

I love horror. I haven’t read any of these, but it’s a good thing they all come together because it sounds like you have to keep reading once you start!
Best wishes!
Hi, it’s me again. ^_^
Welcome Back. See ya soon!
Oh a horror series! I haven’t read a good horror book in months!! Fingers crossed!!
Crossing my fingers AND toes for you. 😉
There’s nothing like a good horror series that makes everything go bump in the night and makes sleeping with the lights on absolutely necessary!
Yep. And keep a torch handy in case the power goes out! LOL
This contest is awesome. Looks like it’s really scary. Good luck!
Scary is only the beginning!
Thanks very much for the chance to win.

These look great! I need to build up my “to read” pile for when I take a break.
I didn’t think you’d have a break for quite a while with the chuppie series. LOL
Hop over to my What’s New On My Book Shelf post and you can get a free short story from E! I haven’t read that one yet.
Yes, please enter me in the Cruelty giveaway. These sound like my kind of stuff. And if Michael Hebler likes them, they gotta be great!
Welcome Dave. Another Hebler fan! You’ll soon be a fan of Edward’s too. He’s written many stoires and I’ve read almost every one. Always wild reading.
There’s also a giveaway for Michael’s newest chupacabra book. Look at my giveaways page! And Edward has a new free story. Search using his name and you’ll find it.
I don’t know if I’ve made it in time, I’ve only read cabal as a horror so far, but I could definitely get into it as a genre.
You made it!!
Yay!
