Some chit chat.

Did anybody wake up this morning feeling like they had lost some time?

Guess what day it is!

spring forward photo: spring forward daylight-savings-1.gif

That’s right. Daylight Savings Time!

Do you set your clocks ahead before you go to bed or do you wait and do it when you get up? And does it affect you much?

I used to dread it when my son was younger and in school. He adapted pretty quickly though. Me now, that’s another matter. I’m always awake before dawn, and it takes my mind and body a while to adjust. I wish we could spring forward and NOT fall back!

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

I love the Mortal Instruments! Great haul this week!

  2. Red Iza says:

We’ll be changing the clocks in three weeks here in France, I’ll be enjoying my extra hour of sleep until then. Tentacles : an anthology, how I love that title, lol ! There are so many lovely books in your haul that I’d love to read, sigh… Well, enjoy reading them while eating your cookies, have a great week 😉

    • fuonlyknew says:

I felt it this morning. I couldn’t go to sleep early so I was a bit groggy this morning. LOL
I’m reading Tentacles right now. Fun so far:)

  3. You got some awesome books this week! Though I did just get really confused cause our daylight saving doesn’t start for another two weeks in the UK!

  4. As always I grabbed up a couple of freebies off your selection. 😉 You had a great haul!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was a bit rough this morning. I couldn’t go to sleep that early last night so I did feel the lost hour.

  6. I love Fall Back but am not so crazy about the Spring Forward part of it all. So far today hasn’t been too bad. I’ve only needed one cup of coffee this morning though it’s early yet. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  7. We only have our watches and two clocks that we have to set our bathroom clock and my car. Everything else is self setting. I don’t bother with appliances b/c every time the power blips they go off and i gave up.
I love getting more daylight! Here’s my post: http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2015/03/spring-fever.html

    • fuonlyknew says:

Most of mine are self setting too and the others are easy to change. I can’t get my car clock to change though.

  8. Yum..cookies! I love the 5th Wave series and need to try the Monstrumologist series, Drink lots o coffee this week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The cookies are melt in your mouth delicious! I’m trying to read books that have been on my wish list for a while. It’s nice to not have to write a review if I don’t want to, but I know I will. These books are that good.
I should have had coffee instead of tea this morning. Was in slo-mo. LOL

  9. Dagny says:

Love to find a batch of great books at Goodwill, Salvation Army or other charity shop. So cheap!

  10. Berls says:

I wish we could just leave the clocks alone – I’m always disoriented for a while:/ I try to make myself go to bed an hour early the night before, but it rarely works. Last night I was up when we skipped the whole 2am hour because the puppy was sick 🙁 so yeah, exhausted this time!

Wow, you got lots of goodies – enjoy them! I never thought to look at Goodwill for books – I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future! Have a great week 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I tried that hour early last night and ended up reading too late. LOL Paid for it this morning too.

  11. One of my favorite series. Monstrumologist series I hope you love it. For some reason this time change didn’t bother me, I woke up feeling rather refreshed it was weird, I am sure Ill be exhausted later 🙂

Enjoy all your new reads! I am going back to check some of them out!
    Have a great week!!!

  12. samantha1020 says:

I love when I find books I want to read at Goodwill!! So exciting 🙂 I’ve been wanting to read Don’t Try to Find Me so I am looking forward to your thoughts on that one. Enjoy all of your new reads 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love going to thrift shops. They always have a pile of books and I’ve even found signed ones by Stephen King and Koontz before!

  13. Lola says:

It’s not daylight savings time here yet, only over 2 or 3 weeks, not sure why it’s on a different day here than in the US. I always hate losing that hour.
Nice haul you got. Now I am wondering about what kind of publicist that book is? They look interesting, although it rubs me wrong that the covers as so different.

Those Cheryl’s cookies look cute and yummy! I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I think it started earlier this year.
When I was on Goodreads, I noticed the different covers for Publicist so double checked them on Amazon. I expected them to have a common theme.

  14. I forgot it was Daylight Savings until later in the morning. I was up early since my son has no idea what Daylight Savings is yet. ^_^ Great book haul. Happy reading too you.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I almost didn’t catch the time change. I get up very early so it wouldn’t have caused problems at work.

  15. katarguelles says:

I hate daylight savings but either way I still get up early. My body is so used to waking up at 4 am during the week so I can’t sleep in. You have another great haul this week and you are so lucky on the giveaways!! The cookies and a book is a nice prize! I hope you enjoy all your new books and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I get u[ around 5A.M. so it doesn’t cause a lot of problems. Weird that it stays dark longer in the morning though:)

  16. Great haul! I loved the 5th Wave and I really need to hurry up and buy the sequel! I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week. 🙂
    Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian

  17. bluekaren says:

Haha! I have won so many things and then there is no clue in the email notifying me where I won it. I swear I thought it was just me. I always include my blog link at least in my notification email. Ugh! The other day I got a bunch of bookmarks, no idea where they came from.
I hate the spring forward but I LOVE the fall back. Have a great week Laura!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I always supply the giveaway post link too. I like to give links to who I won things from. The least I can do as thank you:) But with a couple of them, I couldn’t.

  18. You’re all starting daylight savings so that means we’ll be finishing it soon, where has the last 6 months gone, argh!
Nice book haul this week, looks like a good one.
    Have a great week!

  19. shannonmiz says:

I like Daylight Savings time, and I wish it could be this way all year. That said, I HATE changing time. It’s so dumb, I mean, I get why they used to do it (kind of) but now it’s so unnecessary, can’t we just always be in Daylight Saving mode? As for my clocks… some of them change on their own, and others…. well, they just wait until it rolls back to whichever time they were set to in the first place. Some are now current, some are behind, I don’t even care haha.

I am looking forward to reading The Infinite Sea too! Hope you enjoy all the lovely new books!

  20. atothewr says:

The Librarian cover really stood out to me. Nice haul.

  21. harvee says:

Enjoy all your very interesting books!

  22. Nice selection and congrats on your wins. I love Sandra Brown.

  23. Heidi says:

I have been wanting to read Rick Yancey’s Monstronumologist series for a long time. I will be watching for your review. I hate daylight savings. I wish they would do away with it.

  24. Kelsey says:

The time change messed me up for work yesterday and it kind of sucked. So many books for you this week, and goodies too! I hope you enjoy them all and those cookies 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was the trying to go to sleep an hour earlier last night that got me. Then I dragged all day today. LOL

  25. Naomi Hop says:

Our daylight savings ends at the end of the month, then back to normal, and we head to winter.
You have a huge amount of reads, enjoy them!

    Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s always so strange to have winter starting your way when summer is arriving here. I hope your winter is milder than ours was. Even here in the south, it was bitter at times.

  26. I only recognise Cassandra Clare in your haul this week, but excellent bargain spotting. I love these covers, but the new ones being released are my fave, so I will have to save hard to get them sent over to me.
