Thanks for “shining the light” on Girl of Mine today, Laura! And thank you for your kind words. I need a tissue now!
I had to mention the light in my tag. Your story about it had me smiling and teary eyed:) So happy about your new book and can’t wait to read it!!!
It was a surprise to my dad that I used the story in my book–and that I dedicated the book to him. When my mom read it, she got all teary too. I love sneaking family stories into my books. After my mom read it, I had to say, “Okay, but minus all the family stories and references, do you still love the book?” Haha. Mom’s are biased. That’s okay. We need someone who is always rooting for us!
Maybe that is why your stories hit so close to home and people can relate to them. The authenticity shines through and gets the readers absorbed. Congratulations Taylor.
Well said, Sherry!
