Cancelled Vows
by Lauren Carr
My Review
So here we are again. Back with the gang. And another wedding is looming. Only one problem. The groom just found out he’s still married to his first wife. Oops.
I’ve read several books in this series and, since I’ve missed one here or there, I can’t share too much about the events going on without spoiling the other books for you.
All of my favorite characters make appearances. Some are brief cameos. One in particular, a bad/good assassin, was a nice surprise.
And the pets are back too. These characters view their furry companions as members of the family. Even the giant tarantula. Gnarly, a German Shepherd, has a prominent role in this book. He’s such a rascal. You don’t dare turn your back on a morsel, or it’ll magically disappear and Gnarly will be looking at you with innocent eyes and a wagging tail.
Lots of hopping back and forth from one side of the country to the other keeps the action escalated and solving the mystery elusive.
And you’ll love the ending. I’m still grinning.
Even though I’ve jumped around in this series and missed some books, it was easy to jump back in as each book has different mysteries and characters to focus on. There’s also a list of the characters with a short bio in the beginning of the book to refresh your memory.
Another page turner in the series. And I’ll be ready for the next one.

I love Lauren’s mysteries, especially this series 😉
I’ve read her other series too. They’re all good:)
I’d love to win this book coz the cover is mesmerizing.
It’s so colorful, even with the police tape. LOL
I have a couple of her books but not read them, this one sounds like a good one. 🙂
They are a lot of fun, Stormi.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review and compliments in the comments! My books are a lot of fun to write, too. I don’t write them unless they are fun to write. Wishing everyone luck in the giveaway!

I know. I’m all over the place in this series. If I had a bunch of money, I’d go ahead and grab all of the ones I haven’t read right now.
The cover drew me in, but the story sounds good as well.
These are such fun mysteries. You never know what’s going to happen next. Nothing is guaranteed and it keeps you on your toes.
I want to win this book because I love a good mystery!
I love the cover, but isn’t it sad to see a wedding cake like that?
I love a good mystery too. I might me twisted, but I grinned at the police tape. You meet these characters, and you’ll see:)

Thanks so much, Betty. I hope you get a chance to read Lauren’s books!
This sounds like a fun read! I love it when the pets are part of the family too and play a role int he story. The pets always add a fun touch to cozy mystery books. And cameo appearances of characters from previous books are always fun. You make me curious about the ending and why it made you grin! I’ll have to look up this series on Goodreads. Great review!
I wish I could share the ending. It was so fun!
I want to win this book because it sounds good and I’m sure I will enjoy it! Thank you!
I hope you get a chance to read one of the books in the series. You’ll surely get hooked:)
Because of the cover and the intriguing review
