Some chit chat.

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!

The other morning I was sitting in front of my computer working on a post when a noise from outside finally got my attention. I went outside to see what it was, and the Robins are here!

robins photo: robins pulling worms robinspullingonworms.gif

That’s one of the signs that spring has arrived on the Gulf Coast! There were a bunch in the trees and they were shaking loose old pecans and leaves from the branches. The noise of it all hitting the back porch was what I was hearing.

I just cleaned all of the outdoor furniture last week. Looks like I should have waited as I’m sure the lovely robins will leave plenty of presents splattered  all over of it. LOL

I was hoping to say I am now officially a great auntie but the little one is taking it’s sweet time entering the world. I’m sure I’ll be able to announce the new member of the family next week.

Got lots of books to share, so let’s get to it!

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

  1. I love robins! They always look like they’re having the best time in the bird bath. I’m ready to start spending a little more time outside. I’ve reading the Paranormal Museum book right now. So far I’m enjoying it. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

They are very energetic birds. I like to see them all fattened up. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum was a fun one. I hope there will be more books.

  2. danielaark says:

Paranormal Museum looks fun! 🙂 Thanks for sharing the freebies 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was a lot of fun. And I enjoy browsing for freebies to share. Try to find a little something in different genres.

  3. I didn’t look at the books. No more for me this week!!!!! Happy reading, Laura.

  4. Greg Hill says:

Yay for spring! I’ll take some of your warm weather- it’s cold and snowy here though we’re supposed to hit 50’s next week (not good enough- I need at least 70’s!!) Your books look fun- I need to check out some of those freebies.

Enjoy your week and enjoy the nice weather for us! It sucks to be a northerner sometimes… LOL.

    • fuonlyknew says:

LOL I grew up in Michigan and don’t miss those cold, long winters. Thankfully, it’s almost over for everyone.

  5. I am curious about There Once Were Stars and your thoughts on These Shallow Graves. Awe, I am sure you will be an Auntie soon! I am so ready for spring but its still too cold for outdoor work. Hope your week is amazing my friend!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Shallow Graves was creepy good. And I keep waiting for the phone to ring saying the little one has arrived. Then the spoiling begins:)

  6. Literary Feline says:

Robins! I don’t see many robins here. I used to see them a lot when I lived in the northern part of my state. Spring is definitely in the air. Your new books all look good. I hope you enjoy them. I hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

They migrate and stay a bit here. My trees and yard will be full of them soon. So fun to watch while sipping tea on the deck. Just need an umbrella to avoid the poop. LOL

  7. I love hearing the sounds of birds. It just makes me feel happy and like summer is coming.
Looks like a great book haul this week. ‘There Once Were Stars’ really sounds interesting. Love that cover too.
Have a great week and happy reading! 😉

    • fuonlyknew says:

My favorite thing is floating in the pool, drifting, and hearing the seagulls. I have several books calling my name right now. Which one to read first???LOL

  8. Yay for signs of spring!! I am ready for some better weather. Thanks for sharing the freebies. I just picked one up 🙂 Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. It seems to take forever to arrive and then, bang, it’s here! I spent most of my weekend outside, reading and enjoying the sun.

  9. It’s always so nice to see the first spring flowers or the birds returning in spring. The pecans hitting the back porch would definitely get your attention!

Hope you have a great week, Laura!

  10. Ooh, lots of lovely new books on your shelves! I hope you enjoy reading all of them. Have a great week!

    Here’s my Weekly Wrap-Up post:

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m sitting here with the windows open! Loving the spring feel:) My review for Paranormal Museum goes up tomorrow. I loved other books by Kirsten so I knew I’d have fun with it.

  12. Ah, yes, signs of spring. Here I am noticing that many trees are all “glammed up” with blossoms. It is still cool occasionally, and last night it rained all through the night. The kind of rain that is loud.

Enjoy your new books…they are all new to me. I like the look of A Crabby Killer.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yeah, I’d say spring has finally arrived. We are supposed to get a gully washer this coming Friday. Lots of rain all day. I like rain when there isn’t thunder and lightning.

  13. Molly's Book Nook says:

I love that you include freebies in your post! I definitely just went to check some of those out 🙂

    Here is my Sunday Post
    Molly @ Molly’s Book Nook

    • fuonlyknew says:

I choose a bunch every week. Try to find something for everyone. Good thing I don’t grab all of them. LOL

  14. Karen Blue says:

Yeah for Robins coming back. I a ready for spring, I want to open my windows again. Becoming and Aunt is so exciting! I hope it happens soon, but no too soon. Have a great week!

  15. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal !museum looks like a fun read. I hope you are a great auntie soon! How exciting. I love babies. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve read books in a couple of different genres by Kirsten so I was excited she wrote a cozy. I’m waiting to hear the babies on the way anytime now. Love them too!

  16. There Once Were Stars is an eye-catcher! I hope that baby comes soon! Nothing compares to having a new baby in the family. Speaking of babies, one of the teachers at school had her water break on Friday in class!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. I’m a cover girl and it speaks to me:) Still no baby, yet. But I expect a phone call anytime. OMG. Her water broke in class. How wild!

  17. Lola says:

I don’t think we have robins here, but that gif is quite cute. You got a great haul this week!

I just grabbed Brownies and Betrayal, that cover and title sold me and it’s free! I am looking forward to your thoughts about the Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum as I really enjoyed that one. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I grabbed brownies too. LOL For the same reasons. The cover grabbed me and the price is perfect. My review of Paranormal Museum will be up Wednesday. It was a fun one.

  18. I will be looking for those robins to show up here in Michigan. It is supposed to be warm but rainy this week. Will be checking out the Andrea Kane book. Have a wonderful week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

They should be there soon. They are fattening up for the trip here. LOL I couldn’t resist her new book. I’ve read several by Andrea so I had a good feeling I’d enjoy it.

  19. Deborah says:

What an eclectic selection of books there Laura!

Your spring means our Autumn and I’m relieved if it means it will be cooler here!

    Hope great-auntie-dom arrives soon!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I try to share a little of everything. LOL I never want cooler. I’m a summer year round kinda gal!

  20. Kathy says:

Robins are a pretty sign for spring but a mess on the patio lol. That’s why we put our cushions out if we are using them lol. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum looks like a fun book, I hope you liked it. I hope the baby arrives soon and I hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love seeing the robins but they do make a mess. They are just starting to pass through here on their way north. Paranormal Museum was a blast. My review will be up Wednesday. No baby yet, but soon, I hope!

  21. Heidi says:

I am so looking forward to being able to go outside and BBQ and have bonfires in our backyard, but so far it is still too wet. I am happy to see Ellie Jordon on your upcoming list this week. Love that series.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve got a pile of limbs and brush to burn. I just need a dry day with no wind. It’s always windy in March. I adore the Ellie Jordan series. I’m reading the sixth book right now.

  22. atothewr says:

Seen a lot of robins here already. Nice to see. Warmer days ahead.

  23. Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace says:

You may be getting spring weather, but we’re still having a bit of a heatwave down here! Enjoy your new reads, a lot of zombie reads by the looks of it!
