This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

Here we are again. Another Sunday. Hmm….what should I talk about? LOL

Have you ever found that you use things you’ve heard from a show in your everyday life? I find that I use lots of quotes and slang from Big Bang Theory. I watch this show almost every day and never get tired of the reruns. They still crack me up.

I even have some board shorts that say Bazinga! LOL What show bleeds over into your life? I know it can’t happen to just little old me.

  1. Greg Hill says:

I catch myself saying Star Wars lines from time to time, and I’ve been known to quote Orphan Black too. 🙂

    Shadow Harvest looks fun.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I quote Arnold Swarzenagger from time time. LOL I think I spelled his name right.
The Sydney Rye series is a blast and I think I have all of them now so I can continue with it.

  2. I love BBT, but only catch reruns every now and then. I always find Hamilton references pop up in my everyday life. lol

  3. I used to love watching Big Bang Theory. It is a great series. Serial sounds great. Thanks for the freebies. Have a great week! 😀

    • fuonlyknew says:

Around the time the show comes on TBS is when I can work on my computer since I work during the day. I know most of the episodes so I can listen while working. LOL

  4. I tried reading stuff by JR Rain but it wasn’t to my taste. Nothing wrong with it, just not to my personal tastes. I do use Game of Thrones quotes in conversations with my dad. There is a ‘Hodor!’ for every occasion!

    • fuonlyknew says:

With JR, it’s hit or miss depending on which genre she’s writing. Hodor is used here sometimes, especially by my son. Cracks me up. LOL

  5. My sister loves big bang but I have only watched a few episodes. You found some great freebies. Have a great week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s my go to show when there’s nothing else to watch. It’s amazing how many channels there are and nothing is worth watching sometimes.

  6. I have a friend named Penny. Three guesses how I greet her…. Aaah thanks for the freebies. I’m keeping your link open so I can come and browse after I did the rounds…

Hope you will have a good week. Here’s my Sunday Post: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2017/03/the-sunday-post-headlines-and-failure_5.html

  7. Oh my gosh I talk in tv show quotes all the time. And most of the time, no one gets it. I watch the show Scrubs all the time. I have seen every episode at least 30 times. So I can quote it in my sleep. But one one else obsessively watches it, so they don’t get it when I quote it. Its just awkward….
Oh well! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Oh, I know what you mean. Most of the people I work with give me strange looks. Obviously we don’t watch the same stuff. LOL

  8. Of hand I can’t think of a TV show that has influenced my speak but I am sure there are some! 🙂 I watch a lot of British TV and catch myself saying things that are normally British…lol. Not a Big Bang Theory fan, tried watching it but it was just to silly for me…lol. I am finding out I am more of a crime drama than sitcom person.

    Hope you enjoy your reads!

    Week in Review

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love my true crime shows, CSI, Criminal Minds and other shows, but I love to visit Big Bang when nothing else is on. It’s good to just relax and laugh and I usually work on my blog then too.

  9. I love Big Bang too. I find myself repeating a lot of Supernatural’s slang so I know what you’re saying. Thanks for the freebies!

  10. Wow! That’s a lot of awesome books you got there! I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  11. Tracy says:

I adore Sheldon! He’s my favorite part of BBT! XD I hope you enjoy your new books! Shadow Harvest looks really interesting! And thanks for all the freebies 😀

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can love Sheldon because I don’t live with him! LOL Shadow Harvest is part of a thrilling series.

  12. charliegirl says:

For years I have said “Oh my lanta” when my students are acting like a bunch of kunckleheads or have a blonde moment. This year one of them told me they heard it on some TV show (that I’ve never heard of). I also have started saying “bazinga.”

  13. Your books are all new to me. I’m curious about Behind Shadows. Enjoy them all, and thanks for sharing. And thanks for visiting my blog.

  14. katarguelles says:

Sheldon is a crazy character and always makes me laugh. We often quote from shows, especially “You’ve Been Chopped” from Food Network’s Chopped when a meal doesn’t taste good lol. I hope you enjoy all your new books and have a great week!

  15. I still haven’t seen the Big Bang Theory and it bugs me so much because I’m pretty sure I’d love it. I just never had cable and hate watching things on the internet so if it isn’t on Netflix, I’m out of luck! Someday!
Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

  16. yvonne473 says:

I love the Big Bang Theory. It’s one of my favorite shows.

    Have a great week!

  17. That’s funny that Big Bang Theory bleeds into your life. Idk if I have any shows like that. If I do, then apparently I just use the phrases without even realizing it lol.

Ooh, there are some good lookin’ freebies this week. Not that I need anymore, but now I can’t resist…

  18. I love Big Bang Theory! It is one show me and my husband actually watch together. Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  19. I never use TV quotes (I don’t watch TV) but movie Quotes? Definitely. Usually ones that I saw 10-20 years ago. My sister is always telling me “You’re right, you’re right, I know you’re right” – a favorite line from When Harry Met Sally. I love when favorite bits like that just became a normal part of your everyday life. 🙂

  20. I already have some Dale Mayer books but grabbed some more. Now I just need to find time to read them. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I grabbed this bunch and have some others too. Downloaded those onto my Kindle so I’d get to them too.

  21. Ooh, thanks for the freebies 🙂 I used to watch BBT when I was in uni (I was in engineering, so it fit even better!). Remember watching one ep in the common area with a friend, we were laughing so hard people were opening classroom doors to stare 😀 but after a few seasons it stopped being so much fun for me somehow, and I stopped watching it.
Have you seen Arrested Development and Brooklyn 99? Should check those out 🙂

  22. What a great bunch of books this week. Looks like you have some good reading ahead. I loved the Big Bang clip. I think Sheldon is so funny. I would have to say Gilmore Girls spills over into my real life more than any other show. I love so many things about the original. The new ones – they were OK but not my favorite. Enjoy your week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I still haven’t watched any Gilmore Girls. I’m sure I will though as I see it mentioned often. I added a freebie to the post just for you. Did you spot it?

  23. Okay, so don’t hate me, but I don’t like Big Bang Theory. (runs and hides.) I love all the geeky things like TNG, video games, etc. But I just couldn’t get into that show.

However, I quote tv, shows and movies all the time. Thankfully, my hubby is like me in that regard lol.

Hope you have a great week!~Aleen

    • fuonlyknew says:

How could I hate you! LOL There are plenty of shows others love that I can’t stand. My son and I pick movies and see who can quote the most from them.

  24. Some good looking books there. I’ve never really watched that show, but the episodes I have seen I have enjoyed.

  25. atothewr says:

The old TV show “Wings” gets a lot of one liners in our household as well as the movies “Christmas Vacation” and “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.”

  26. I get a lot of Jeopardy questions right from watching Big Bang (and other shows).
