This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

I missed last weeks Sunday Post. I took a short trip. Hey, a girls gotta have fun! LOL

I’m glad to be back and have lots to share with you. So many great books.

And some awesome giveaways, so be sure to check them out!

On the home front. This has been a strange summer. The weather pattern is all screwy. We usually have afternoon thunder storms caused by the heat build up. Instead we have rainy mornings and gloomy days. My tan is fading! It’s been almost 12 years since Katrina hit and we’ve not been bothered by any hurricanes since then. I’m a bit worried that this year our luck will run out. We’ll see.

I’ve been binging Bloodlines from the beginning to be fresh for the new episodes added to Netflix. Talk about the dysfunctional family. Have you watched the show? It’s nerve wracking. I don’t think there’s a decent character in the whole show. A bunch of entitled narcissists. But I love watching them scramble desperately. LOL And I’m watching Fear The Walking Dead every Sunday. Only two weeks until Preacher starts back up. That’s such a zany fun show. Are you watching any of these? Got any suggestions for more shows I should watch?

My new books this week.

The top row are ARCs I received. All of these release later this year. I know. I said I wouldn’t grab any more ARCs. These were sent to me by Camel Press. I couldn’t resist. The rest are ones I grabbed free, bought, or received for review.

  1. I hope that you had a lot of fun on your vacation! I need to take one, but the right time just hasn’t come up. I hope that you enjoy your books, and happy reading! 🙂

    My Weekly Recap: http://adventureswithabooknerd.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-weekly-recap-i-want-carbs-week-of.html

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was short and fun! I have a week off for the 4th of July and plan to hide out at home and enjoy reading and the pool!

  2. Greg Hill says:

I think the weather is screwed up. lol. And I like Bloodline, although I think the first season is the best and the third season, which I just binged, was just okay. That first season though… good stuff. And yes they are a mess! By the third season I didn’t like ANYBODY. I liked John early on and felt like Kevin was kind of a goof, Linda was hit or miss- but they seem to get more and more unlikable!

Horizon Alpha looks good and so does Girl Lost. And Eerie- I’ve read Blake crouch but haven’t seen that one.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m starting the third season this week. You’ve got me worried now. LOL Horizon Alpha is going good so far. Lots of weird dinos and danger. I did grab Girl Lost, partly because of that great cover. And I’m slowly reviewing a whole bunch of Blake’s books. Some are better than others and Eerie was intriguing because it’s the first book he wrote with his brother.

  3. Thanks for the freebie info! I’ve got another UF book by Domino Finn so I decided to grab this one for its werewolf bikers! I already have Horizon Alpha on my tbr and I plan to get Just Add Water when it comes out in paperback. Have a good reading week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I just pre-ordered Optical Delusion, the next Hunter Shea book. It sounds crazy! I’m crossing my fingers Domino’s book works for me. Great cover and sounds great.

  4. The weather has been strange everywhere, it has rained more here than it has in a long time. Usually by now we are so hot and muggy but it’s been pretty nice with only a few real hot days.

All your books look great!! I hope you like Just Add Water it was cheesy good…lol.

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yippee! You’re back! Yep, the weather here’s been hot and steamy with lots of rain. Finally had a sunny afternoon today. I enjoyed the video of your furbabies:) Just Add Water was silly and gross. Hunter didn’t disappoint! And I pre-prdered the next one.

  5. Drangonfly says:

Glad you have been having fun! 🙂 dysfunctional family? Despicable characters?? Now I NEED to watch Bloodlines!!! Damn it Laura! LOL I’m supposed to read!!! 🙂 I need to go back to Fear The Walking Dead too! I do have a suggestion!!! Game of Thrones! BEST show EVER have you watched it???

    • fuonlyknew says:

I keep meaning to start Game Of Thrones. It’s so awesome but I want to start at the beginning and the show is still ongoing. Guess I better visit Hulu and get started. Now there goes my reading. Just finished another episode of FTWD. I liked this one. Very emotional.

  6. Drangonfly says:

sorry I HAD to come back to say Harmless sounds so good!!!

  7. limabean74 says:

I really need to just stop watching Bones but I can’t seem too.I am hoping once the meme starts, I can officially move on….maybe 🙂

I want to read Keep in a Cold Dark Place! I look forward to seeing what you think of it.

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading! ox

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m watching about 8 different shows right now. My reading is suffering because I stay up too late. LOL Keep In A Cold Dark Place was creepy fun.

  8. Yay for a trip! Sorry about the weather. I hate gloomy days. I have meant to watch Bloodlines since it came out. Maybe this summer finally I will binge it all. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was already into season two before I started Bloodlines. It’s wild. And the characters are really messed up.

  9. I see the sun this morning…how long will it last. LOL

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. I was in the pool early, then a big thunder cloud came over. Then the sun came out again later. I’m worried about the weather. Not normal at all and the heat and humidity are high for this time of year too.

  10. Oops. Hope this link works. 🙂

  11. Glad you’ve had a good trip and lots of fun, it’s definitely something that’s good to do from time to time. I’ve never heard of the show Bloodlines but you’ve made me want to watch it so I’ll be looking out for that on UK Netflix soon. What a fabulous book haul this week! I don’t think I’ve heard of the books but they all look good so I’ll keep an eye out for your reviews. Hope you have a good week ahead and that the weather settles for you.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Several people recommended Bloodlines so I finally watched it. Now I’m hooked and getting ready for the third season. Will be watching it this week. Can’t wait for Preacher to start again next weekend too!

  12. I will be curious to see what you think of the Dan Wells books. We lived on the East coast in NJ, VA and Florida so I know all too well about those storms. Hopefully this is a mild year but like you I am concerned.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve read them all and loved the series. I just realized I hadn’t written my review for the fifth one. Oops. The weather is early this year and has me a bit worried. Crossing my fingers and starting to stock up on hurricane supplies.

  13. Wow, that’s some crazy weather you’re having. Congrats on the haul!

  14. Eerie looks creepy…and tempting.

I felt the same about Bloodline, although I did enjoy Season I when Sam Shepard was on the show. By the final season, I hated them all! LOL. But I kept watching.

Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Eerie has a lot of creepy atmosphere. And it’s the first book Blake co-authored with his brother. There’s not one character I like anymore on Bloodlines. I’m still enjoying it though. LOL

  15. I hope you don’t get hit by another hurricane this summer! Your new books look interesting, especially the first two mysteries. Alas, my various TBR piles so flippin’ long at this point, I really shouldn’t add to them!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve devoted a lot of time this year to working on my TBR. Alas, it doesn’t seem to be going down much.. I keep adding more. LOL

  16. Glad you had a fun vacation and great set of books you got there!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was fun and relaxing to get away from the computer for a few days. Glad to be back on though!

  17. Katherine P says:

We’ve had a lot of gloomy days but no rain. I’d love a rainy day or two but then I want sun! I haven’t watched Bloodlines but I’ve thought about it. It looks intriguing. Not sure about it though since all the characters are so awful! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

We had plenty of gloomy days that didn’t have rain and then days of rain. The sun was shining today! And yep, lots of characters to hate in Bloodlines. Makes it fun. LOL

  18. Yvonne says:

All those books look so good! I haven’t seen the new season of Bloodlines yet, but soon. Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

So many great books this week. Couldn’t help but grab a few myself:) I plan to bing the third season of Bloodlines this week. I rewatched the previous seasons to get those vibes going again.

  19. atothewr says:

The weather here seems to be just as screwy. I’d recommend Stranger Things, Gotham, or Super Girl on Netflix. Have a great week.

  20. Good for you for taking a little vacation! Sorry to hear the weather is so wonky. Finally getting some nice weather here in Canada.
You have lots of good murder mysteries there! Enjoy your week 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

WE had one day of some sun but now a weather system is moving in and we’ll have rain for days. Oh well, guess I’ll have to read. LOL

  21. I’m really behind on The Walking Dead. I definitely need to catch up because I love that show!

  22. So many interesting books to add to my reading wish list!

  23. My comment vomiting is over. Sorry I missed so much. I am off for the summer except fir my side babysitting job, so I should be able to be more current on my commenting for awhile. 🙂
