This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

Been doing the same old, same old. LOL Binging some shows, reading a bunch of books, and dragging myself home every day after work. It’s still super hot and muggy and I feel so drained after working outside all day. One good thing about the hot weather, the pool is the perfect temp and I’m loving every day I can still enjoy it.

My bananas are finally starting to grow again. Crossing my fingers the heat wave lasts long enough to give them a chance to grow. The raised leaf wasn’t open at all yesterday. And there are already some flowers.

And who believes that money grows on trees? Anyone who grows fruits and nuts do. I’m sitting here right now listening to the loud thuds of pecans falling on my roof. Look at these beauties.

I have Elliot’s, the most desired of pecans. So meaty and tasty. I’ll be doing a lot of crawling around on the ground to gather them and sell them at our local pecan warehouse. Of course, I’ll keep some for myself.

I’ll be heading over to your posts soon. Happy Sunday!

  1. Greg Hill says:

It got hot and muggy here too, finally- in September! We had high 90’s and humidity lol. A pool would have been pretty nice this past week. 🙂

Megalodon in Paradise looks awesome, and so does Daughters of Darkness. Nice cover!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Supposed to be even hotter this coming week so I’ll be enjoying the pool a while longer. I can’t resist a Megalodon book and I’m a huge fan of Hunter Shea.

  2. Maree Jane says:

Some great looking covers. Have a great week! 🙂

  3. Oh man. We used to gather pecans all the time from our pecan tree. But, lately our pecan tree hasn’t been growing any pecans lately. Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It looks like a great crop of pecans this year. My branches our weighted down with huge ones. Now to hope for no hurricanes to blow them off.

  4. I love pecans. I use them in recipes instead of walnuts, which I don’t care for. Come on bananas, grow!

I have The History Major as a Netgalley download that I never got to ha ha. I should grab it as an ebook and delete it from my documents.

It’s been upper 80s and humid here, but the nights have been okay. It is going to be 90 here on Tuesday, but we get fall weather finally, by the end of the week. Thank goodness you have your pool!

Have a wonderful, and cooler, new week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love pecans too. Especially in pies and cookies. LOL I’ve read almost every one of Michael’s books. They do entertain. This coming week is supposed to be low to mid 90s with heat indexes close to 100. I’ll be enjoying the pool while I can.

  5. beansreview says:

Damnnn those nuts looks amazing. I can’t wait for you banana too 😀

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The trees are full to bursting with them this year. Should be tasty and make some money too. I’m not sure about my bananas. They just aren’t growing as fast as they need to.

  6. I love the pictures of pecans. I can tell they’re yummy by looking at the pictures only. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your books and have a wonderful week. ?❤️

  7. It got pretty hot here this last week too. This week it’s suppose to rain a couple of days so might cool it down some. Not sure if I am happy or sad about cooler weather…lol.

I wish I had a Pecan tree!! One of my favorite nuts! Yummm.

Have a great week and happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It looks like rain today but it keeps blowing right by. Still sticky and hot. Supposed to be in the 90s again this week. I’ll take it while it lasts:) I’ve tried these pecans. Still a bit bitter so I’ll wait a week before gathering the next batch that falls. These I’ll rake up and throw in the woods for the critters.

  8. Money grows on trees, haha 😀 it’s so awesome to grow your own nuts, seriously. We have a hazel in our garden, but we never actually get any of the nuts… It’s always infested with worms. Grah.

I hope your bananas are soon ripe for the eating 🙂

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have pecans, oranges and bananas. The only ones I sell are the pecans. Looks like we’re having a huge crop this year so I’ll be cashing in:)

  9. I love the look of Shabby Chic at Heart…and Last Chance Motel.

    Enjoy those bananas and pecans!

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  10. Yvonne says:

All those books look good. I have a few of those freebies. Beware the Orchids is next on my list. Glad you liked it. Have a great week!

  11. Banana trees AND pecans? I’m so curious about where you are now.

  12. katarguelles says:

I love pecans and they are so expensive to buy. You are lucky you have a stash and will be making money from it. I grabbed a couple of the freebies. I hope you have a great week!

  13. I wish I had been smart enough to sell the pecans when I lived in the little bungalow house. They’re one of the only two nuts I’m not allergic to. The heat here seems to be laughing in our faces. We should be having slightly cooler days, but no. It’s blazing balls on Friday afternoons while I’m waving my arms, trying to get parents who know damned good and well to PULL UP to pull all the way up through the pick-up loop. Since they don’t, it takes twice as long to get everyone through and kids in cars.

  14. OMG! A New to me Canine cozy. My Canine ADHD just kicked in – I’m off to check it out on Amazon (and buy #1…and maybe #2…who am I kidding – I need some kind of reward for painting the living room all by myself yesterday!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m going to grab the first 2 books also. Then I’ll not come up for air until I’ve read all three. They sounds so fun!

  15. Lovin this weather. Been enjoying it as much as possible, before….

  16. sjhigbee says:

Hot and muggy – hm… While I’m craving more heat, you can keep that combination, thank you very much – and I hope it eases up. Your banana flower looks marvellous – and wow – pecans! I do enjoy harvesting nuts too, but mine are hazel nuts. Have a great week, hopefully cooler:)

  17. I had to grab the Hunter Shea book too! Who could resist a title like that one! We’re in a bit of a cold snap which makes it feel as if Winter is Here! Perfect to hide in my bed and read!
