This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

So, a new season of The Walking Dead starts tonight. I know what I’ll be doing.  I’ve been avoiding any teasers about what’s coming. I hate when they give teasers. I don’t want to know anything until the show starts. I watched Stephen King’s 1922. Have you seen it yet? I’m going to do a post about soon.

In other news. still reviewing a bunch of horror and thrillers for my 31 Days Of Thrills And Chills feature. I think some lighter reading will be required after this month. LOL Other than that, been watching some movies and relaxing when not at work.

Oh, we got a cool down spell, I actually needed jeans and long sleeves for a couple of days. Only in the morning though. Once that sun got above the trees it warmed up nicely. The nights were chilly and no humidity. Now it’s back to steamy but not as hot and the nights aren’t cool anymore. I’ll take it though. Me and winter don’t agree with each other.

And here’s new pictures of my bananas. They continue to grow but I notice the stalk is starting to turn brown where it connects to the broken part of the tree.

They actually are still trying to grow. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Happy Sunday everyone!

  1. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your bananas. it’s cool! My husband wants us to make little garden in our little backyard but we live in a big city with two dogs who love running around and me not having any ideas on how to grow anything. So hmm I’m not so sure. Hehe.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new books and have an awesome reading week. ❤️?

    • fuonlyknew says:

Grow some plants in pots. Then you can move them around and bring them indoors if the weather gets too cold.

  2. sjhigbee says:

Oh, I’ll second your thoughts about the approaching winter! We are still in the 60s during the days here, which is incredibly mild for the time of year. But I loathe the cold and am dreading the prospect… As for the banana saga – oh nooo… keeping my fingers crossed that those dear little babies manage to still grow despite the damage! Have a great week, Laura – and let’s hope your warm spell prevails:)

    • fuonlyknew says:

The few things I like about cold is the holidays, low humidity, and my snuggly clothes. LOL The bananas still have a chance, Sarah. We’ll see.

  3. Your bananas look awesome 😀 have a great week 🙂

  4. So not ready for winter and it rained really good last night cooling it down and this week is going to be pretty cool and there was a SNOWFLAKE on my weather app for next Saturday!!! That so best not happen! 🙁

Loving your 31 days of thrills and chills! 🙂

Have a great week and happy reading!

Its raining right now. Supposed to have a little cool down following the storm front. I’ll take it. Snow! No way!

  5. yvonne473 says:

I’m looking forward to The Walking Dead, too. I stopped reading teasers a long time ago. I find I enjoy shows more when I don’t know what’s going to happen.

Your books look great. I have a few of those on my Kindle.

Hope you have a great week.

    My Sunday post is here.

  6. Love seeing the banana picks. I am happy to see their progress. I need to watch King. I am loving all of the creepy covers in your haul!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m having fun sharing them. If the bananas don’t make it I’ll be sharing what the plant looks like when I cut it open. Supposed to be full of more flowers.

  7. It has finally cooled down here too. It’s actually too cool today LOL.

Love seeing the banana updates, glad to know they are still going on. 🙂

Hope you have a great week!

  8. Hope your bananas make it! I love winter so I can’t wait for it to really start getting colder here. We have been holding in the 70’s during the day and 50’s a night. I want COLDER!!!!

    • fuonlyknew says:

If the weather holds, they have a good chance. I like getting out my winter clothes but not crazy about winter when it gets freezing. Usually it gets cold here for a few days and warms back up on and off through the winter. Your weather sounds similar to mine but add about 15 degrees.

  9. Glad your banana tree is doing well and I need to start reading some more horror reads myself!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

  10. Katherine P says:

I”m glad to not have to wear shorts anymore but I’m not sure I’m ready for cold weather! Thanks for the reminder about The Walking Dead. I’m not a fan but my husband is so I’m setting it up to record now. Enjoy all your new books and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m a shorts and flip flops gal year round. Just not when I’m outside in the cooler times. Watching Walking Dead right now!

  11. Seems like we’ve been having the same type of weather. Your bananas are looking good!

  12. Me and winter don’t agree with each other either! Steal the Stars has me intrigued. Have a great reading week!

  13. I tried a catch up binge of the Walking Dead and managed to finish series 2 and watch season 3. I was a bit annoyed by a couple of story threads in series 3 and the killing of a couple of characters I liked so I still haven’t started season 4 and I’m not sure when I’ll be motivated to do it now!

  14. I didn’t realize that The Walking Dead had started back up. I binged last season on Netflix, so I’ll have to see if I have a way to watch the show during the regular season (I don’t think I do, actually, because I don’t think I get AMC—I’ll have to check though!)

  15. Come on little banana buddies, grow! ?

The cover on The Farm is perfection. Ha ha.

We got pretty chilly here last week, but I managed to keep the heat off. I think we will have to flip it on this week, though. To me the saved money = books! I hope you are having a wonderful week. ?

    • fuonlyknew says:

They’re “hanging” in there. LOL It’s supposed to get in the 40s tonight. Only around 70 during the day tomorrow. I’ll enjoy it for now. Then it warms back up for the weekend. yeah!

  16. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

Did you enjoy The Walking Dead?! LOL! There was so much happening. Feels like it’s back to normal now. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. I agree, so much happening now. Everyone is finally getting back together and taking care of business. What a cliff hanger too!

  17. The weather change like that is precisely why I don’t own hardly any true “winter” clothing. It’s low 40s now and by noon it’s mid 80s. I’ll take a 40s and 60s though. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yeah, we’re back up to 80 and then down to 60 again this weekend. I don’t have any serious winter clothes. Don’t even own a thick coat. Cold weather comes in short spurts here. That’s why I love living on the Gulf Coast!
