Welcome to The Friday 56 hosted by Freda’s Voice.
This is a really fun meme!
The only rules are to grab a book (any book), turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader and find a sentence or a few (no spoilers) that grabs you and post it.
Then go over to Freda’s Voice and leave your link so we can visit your 56!
My 56 for this week is from a short stories series:
Holly In Hiding
The Twelve Mysteries Of Christmas #6
by P. Creeden
Genre: Cozy Mystery
From 56% in the eBook.
After getting only two or three hours of shallow sleep, Bethany paced around her living room. The police weren’t doing what they needed to do, and it was going to end badly if she didn’t do something. The fear of the close call had vanished entirely. Who would save Holly? Bethany lost her parents two years ago, and she wasn’t about to lose her sister too.

Synopsis

But when her sister meets a man online who wants to meet her over the holiday, Bethany puts her foot down. Her sister shows her rebellious side and disappears. Now former police detective from Boulder is looking for the couple and suspects that the Christmas Killer from Boulder might have set his sights on their small town.

sherry @ fundinmental
Aren’t they. I’d love to have them as jigsaw puzzles!
These all look good. I hope you are enjoying them. This week I am featuring Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox by Forthright – an intriguing new fantasy. Happy reading!
I’ve only just started. Some are super short and some are almost full length books.
Great covers on all those books. Holly in Hiding sounds like an intriguing read. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “AFTER NIGHTFALL”
I’m always in for some holiday mysteries:)
They all have snow! Are they set in the North Pole? Anne – Books of My Heart
I know. I love the soft, wintry covers. I think they take place during winter in states that get lots of snow.
I do love Christmas books! Those covers are great!
I love them too. Read some at any time of the year. And these covers enchant:)
It sounds like a fun holiday short series!! Happy weekend!
I’m just starting and looking forward to some fun mystery and romance:)
What adorable covers. Once again, I like snowy books but get angry when it snows here anytime except Christmas.
LOL I know just what you mean. The only time I want the white stuff is Christmas morning!
Ooh this sounds good! For some reason I like the combination of holidays and murder mysteries haha!
I like the combination too. Just like with cozies. They have fun characters and sweet romance, but there’s always at least one dead body. LOL
Hope you’re enjoying your new cosy!
So far it’s fun:)
This sounds like a great read! And those covers are so festive! Love it! Enjoy! 🙂
I love cozy covers like these:)
