One of my goals for this year is to continue with some series I love and find some new ones. Let’s see what I have so far. I may make this a frequent feature as I have many more to share and knowing me, many more I’ll be starting!
~~~
I started reading the Hell Divers series at the beginning of 2018 and quickly fell in love with the world and characters. Captives, the fifth book in the series releases this May and I already pre-ordered it.
Captives
Hell Divers V
by Nicholas Sansbury Smith
Humanity has finally found a new home, but the price is blood …
After a long, perilous journey, Hell Divers Xavier Rodriguez and Magnolia Katib discover the Metal Islands, a sunny habitable zone where thousands of people live by fishing and farming. But this “paradise” is really a violent warrior society ruled by the cannibal king el Pulpo. For the first time in X’s life, he is forced to lay down his arms and surrender.
Back on the airships, the Hell Divers are recovering from a gruesome discovery at Red Sphere, where they learned the truth about World War III. Now they must fight one last war-this time for what remains of their own endangered species. As the battle approaches, alliances will be forged, and others broken.
Forced to fight in the Cazador army, X faces his toughest mission yet. Will he help his people come down from the sky and claim the promised land, or will humanity go extinct?
I can’t wait to see what the cover art is going to be!
And I just got my hands on the newest book by J.L. Bryan
Fire Devil
Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper Book #11
by J. L. Bryan
Ellie’s pursuit of a possessed friend and her own worst enemy takes her across the United States into forgotten corners of the countryside through haunted hotels, ghost towns, and strange highways, and toward the site of a horrific fire haunted by hundreds of spirits.
Together with her team, plus help from an eccentric exorcist from Texas, prepares for the fight of her life, a fight destined since her own childhood.
Ellie’s past and present collide in a final confrontation that will change the course of her life, giving her a chance to finally be rid of her most dangerous personal demon—if he doesn’t kill Ellie first, along with the people she cares about the most.
I’ve been reading this series for a few years now and I still get so excited when the next story comes out!
~~~
And I just found a new author through some free book promotions. Blake Pierce writes suspenseful mysteries and thrillers, which are among my favorite genres. I’ve read the first book in each of these series, and plan to continue with all of them.
All of these were free on Amazon at time of posting. Click on the book cover or Amazon link below each blurb to grab your copy. Be sure to check that they’re still free before you click that buy button!
Once Gone
A Riley Paige Mystery #1
Women are turning up dead in the rural outskirts of Virginia, killed in grotesque ways, and when the FBI is called in, they are stumped. A serial killer is out there, his frequency increasing, and they know there is only one agent good enough to crack this case: Special Agent Riley Paige.
Riley is on paid leave herself, recovering from her encounter with her last serial killer, and, fragile as she is, the FBI is reluctant to tap her brilliant mind. Yet Riley, needing to battle her own demons, comes on board, and her hunt leads her through the disturbing subculture of doll collectors, into the homes of broken families, and into the darkest canals of the killer’s mind. As Riley peels back the layers, she realizes she is up against a killer more twisted than she could have imagined. In a frantic race against time, she finds herself pushed to her limit, her job on the line, her own family in danger, and her fragile psyche collapsing.
Yet once Riley Paige takes on a case, she will not quit. It obsesses her, leading her to the darkest corners of her own mind, blurring the lines between hunter and hunted. After a series of unexpected twists, her instincts lead her to a shocking climax that even Riley could not have imagined.
