I did this last year and had so much fun I knew I had to do it again!
Welcome to the They Call It Puppy Love Challenge!
February is drawing near and Barb over at Booker T’s Farm is once again hosting the Puppy Love Challenge!
It will last all month long and the rules are simple.
- Make a sign up post and link it here to Barb’s blog.
- Read at least one book which: has a dog (or cat) on the cover or features a dog (or cat) in it.
- Do a wrap up post at the end of February with links to your review(s).
So easy and loads of fun! At the end of the month, Barb will put all the participants in a bowl and Booker T will pick a lucky winner. That person will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to Amazon or Book Depository.

I’ll be looking at a few books for the challenge. I’ve got five set aside but I might find more on the shelves to add later.
I know I have more. And these are subject to change. I have a lot of fun with this challenge.
I really want to do this, but I need to find more dog books. Your books look like fun!
I hope you join in. I had fun last year and found some great books from the other’s who participated.
This sounds like such a fun challenge! I am crushing over these covers. Good luck! 🙂
I’ve been waiting a whole year for this challenge to come around again!
I have enough doggie books, I could probably do this challenge, but I already can’t keep up. Haven’t joined my usuals yet. Good luck.

You can do as little as just one book. I bet you got a good one with a dog on the cover!
Rescuing Finley is such a beautiful story. Enjoy them all!!
I can’t wait to read it. I plan to start on these this weekend. I have three days off of work:)
This looks like a fun, and cute challenge! Hope you enjoy the books you read! 🙂
I have so many more books I could share too. If I have time I’ll add some of them to this challenge:)
So glad you’re joining. I’ve been curious about the Dog Town books and I’ve not seen Mist before – might have to grab that one. I love those little Dachshunds books. Especially the ones swimming in the sea.
I’ve been collecting these since last year! I have more but these are ones I want to make sure I share first:)
Ahh… animal love. I struggle a bit when reading books about animals as I am always worried about an animal dying and breaking my heart.
I worry about that sometimes too. These all appear to be safe reads. Maybe not Mist, but that is demon dogs. They might not even really be dogs.
I am planning on doing this one again this year. I am not sure how many I will get to but I have several books that are definite possibilities.
I’m being optimistic. LOL I hope to be able to review ll of these. It is going to be so fun to see what everyone is reading!
Oooh may I recommend The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein? It was a fabulous read and had a dog on the cover!
Thanks. I’ll check it out. Especially since you loved it!
Those covers are adorable. Now I want to read a book with a puppy on the cover. I like when the dogs play a role too. Jill Shalvis always features dogs in her Heartbreaker Bay series.
I have several of Jill’s books. I might even squeeze one of hers into the challenge.
I don’t do a lot of challenges because I don’t like tracking them, but this sounds fun. I do love books with puppies in them. Good luck with your challenge.

I like that this is only for one month. Easy to keep track!
Yayyy!! I love this challenge. Enjoy!!
