A bakehouse in the making. A dangerous ghost in the tower. Will their welcome to the neighborhood be short-lived?
Imogen wants nothing more than to complete her sweet dream. With her adoring fiancé Hank at her side, the witch and her friends dive into renovations for their new home and soon-to-be bakery. But all their efforts seem futile when they wake to find the house eerily ripped apart all over again…
As Imogen examines her humble abode’s shady history, she discovers evidence for a malevolent spirit living inside. But with less-than-welcoming neighbors keeping a close, suspicious watch, she wonders if it’s not the dead but the living who pose the biggest threat…
Will Imogen root out the culprit, or will her culinary future collapse under the weight of an unsolved murder?

I don’t know if this counts as a haunted house, but my street growing up had a house that was cursed. No one stayed living there for longer than a few months. If a married couple moved in, they got divorced and moved out. One of the times it was vacant, some friends and I tried to snoop around to see what was going on. We managed to get onto the screened in porch, but couldn’t get into the house itself. Even just on the porch, there was a really weird feeling about the place. Even the older kids in our group felt really uncomfortable. We never did get in the house, but left soon after because it felt so creepy. I wondered for years if it was haunted, but never saw anything there. Just a really weird, creepy feeling around it. No one else moved into that house after we tried to sneak in. It stayed empty until I moved away several years later.
That definitely counts! We had a house moved into out neighborhood when I was young. Woke up one day and it was just there! It sat empty for over a month and of course we had to check it out. We found a way in and scared ourselves silly one night. So strange that we had no idea it was coming. I guess our parents didn’t think we’d be interested. When the people moved in they were really nice.
I lived in a Haunted Hotel that was renovated to small apartments for 15 months. You would always get a blast of cold air even in mid summer and there was NO air conditioners.
That’s super creepy. I’d get the shivers, and not from the temperature!
I love the name of this one. My husband swears our house is haunted and as it is 119 years old, I guess it is possible. He has seen a ghost dog, a tennis ball rolling across the floor by itself, and an old man smoking a cigar. I’ll take the ghost dog but the old man better move on.
LOL Yep, the old man and his stogie gotta go! My dog Lassie passed away many years ago but I still hear her toenails scrabbling across the tile floors.
Unfortunately, no. But maybe someday.
I’ve seen too many scary movies. I don’t want to push my luck. LOL
I visited an Antebellum home outside of Nashville that was used as a Civil War hospital and is said to be haunted. While we were in one of the rooms that was used as an operating room we felt a chilly presence behind us. It just lasted a few seconds, but was an eerie feeling.
Creepy! I used to explore empty houses. Nothing ever happened but I did a good job of scaring myself.
No, I can’t say that I have! Your book sounds wonderful.
I’ve been in some abandoned houses. I think I scared myself. LOL
I don’t know if the houses were haunted, or that the spirits were attracted to me. I did learn to smudge and cross them over though.
That’s very brave. I think I would be so scared. Might not be able to stand there and see what they need.
Not a real haunted house, but one in Wisconsin Dells.
I’m a big chicken now and avoid the spooky houses. I used to love to explore them.
