This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

While I’m still working a lot, I did manage to enjoy the pool this week. I made sure to fit in at least an hour of swim time almost every day. It was wonderful. The water was warm and it seemed to soothe my aching muscle. Felt so nice I wanted to sleep there. LOL

I was really hoping we’d get through hurricane season without any real threats. For those who will be affected by Hurricane Dorian, stay safe!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Pool time sounds great! Light at the Bottom of the World is one I’m looking forward to. I saw the premise a while back and thought ooh cool lol.

Hope Dorian doesn’t hit too hard.

  2. I’ll be interested in your review of the London Shah book as I’m interested in the plot for that one. Just need to get info from a few reviews now! I’m hoping that the storm stays away from populated areas and reduces in power before landfall. I hope it is not anywhere near you guys.

I thought about it and decided to give it a try. A new author and the blurb intrigued me. Dorian is staying away from us and I hope it stays further off the coast for everyone.

  3. Your time at the pool sounds so relaxing! I want to start exercising again. I can’t wait to be settled in so I can start again.

  4. sjhigbee says:

I’m glad you are able to get some serious pool time in every day even though you are working so hard. I am hoping to return to Pilates this week as I’m SO UNFIT. I’ve spent the summer in my computer chair staring at the screen… Have a great week, Laura.

  5. Lilyn G says:

I’m glad you were able to enjoy some downtime finally!

  6. Glad you got some pool time!! Thats important!

  7. kozbisa says:

Dorian looks scary. I hope it moves even further off the coast. Glad you are enjoying the pool and getting a little R&R.

  8. Northwoman says:

Yay for a week with pool time. I actually contacted the neightborhood management company and my pool keycards arrived yesterday! The pool is only open until 9/15 so if we are going this year it has to be soon. I hope you have a great week and stay safe!

I hope you will be out of Dorian’s path Laura! Now swimming is indeedexcellent for aching muscles and I too have wanted to sleep in the pool LOL

  10. Tammy says:

I’m so jealous of your pool! Glad you get to enjoy it so much. I’ve requested The Light at the Bottom of the World as well, well see if I get approved or not😊

  11. I hope you and everyone else in its path gets through Dorian safely. It looks like a monster, but hopefully it stays offshore, which will lessen the impact somewhat. I’m glad you got to enjoy the pool this week!

  12. Glad to see you’re getting some regular pool time in! Have a great week!

  13. Danie says:

Picked up If She Only Knew! Thanks!

  14. Hope you guys stay safe from the hurricane—hopefully it won’t hit close to shore!

  15. Stormi D Johnson says:

Glad you are still getting to enjoy your pool! You got some great books this week! Enjoy!

  16. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

I think, due to climate change, our days of making it through hurricane season without being affected are over. We’re gassing up the generator this week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I hope things are okay! Since Hurricane Ivan we’ve had just a couple of tropical storms. The big ones have went to either side of us. Stay safe!

  17. Swimming an hour a day is great exercise. The nights are getting cooler here in Montreal and the days are sunny and warm but the pool days are now over. Enjoy your new books!

  18. Your books are all new to me. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  19. Carole says:

I didn’t get in our pool even once this year. I am kind of upset about it. I need to make sure it happens next year for sure. I hope you stay safe with the hurricane. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Until this summer I was in it most every day, sometimes twice. The hurricane isn’t coming our way and I sure feel for those who will be affected by it.
