This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

It;s funny how quickly life returns to normal once the holidays are over. I’ve been working so much that time passed in a blur.

I did manage to squeeze in some reading and watched a bit of television. I’m reading a bunch more books in the Cozy Corgi Mystery series and will be sharing my reviews this coming week. I also took in a couple of review requests and excited for those too. Of course, they are in the horror genre. LOL

I’m typing this on Saturday morning and we have a big storm coming in later so I’m headed outside to batten down the hatches. It’s muggy, hot and windy. Hard to believe this is winter.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Cozy Corgi Mysteries? That sounds fun!

    Thank you for the freebies!

  2. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

Glad to hear your getting back to routine is going on smoothly. Despite having some having some rough start here, my plans surviving. I hope you are taking some time off from your work to relax a bit.

    Have a good week!

  3. Greg says:

We have a storm here too but it’s more of the icy variety haha. It’s 27 degrees here ugh.

Ooh a sasquatch book and What Lies In Paradise looks awesome too- nice cover. The Corgi books sound fun. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I remember those kind of storms. Don’t miss them at all! LOL I have a blend of genres I’m reading and having a lot of fun:)

  4. Ooh a new Sasquatch book! Need to get some more info on that one and see if it makes it to wishlist! We’ve had high winds and rain on and off every day or two for about three weeks now and it is really depressing! It makes me want to stay indoors and sulk!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m very excited about White Anvil. I’ll let you know what I think! Our winters are usually cloudy and wet more than cold. I miss the sun!

  5. Tammy says:

Stay safe in the storm! I also got a copy of White Anvil. The author was really nice😁

  6. Interesting to hear winter has arrived for you! We went from a few weeks of bitter cold back to chilly and damp… Not really wintery. I’l hit us at some point I’m sure.

I hope you have a good week and that the storm isn’t too disruptive.

    • fuonlyknew says:

This has been a warm winter so far. We usually don’t get the really cold spells until February or March. I’ll take the warmth while it lasts. LOL

  7. kozbisa says:

It is amazing how quickly all the holiday hoopla disappears, considering how big the build up is. Those corgi covers are too cute. Hope you are enjoying the series.

  8. I hope the storm isn’t too bad and you get some down time to read. Blur is the word of the week. I’m glad you enjoy it but I just don’t like horror. The closest I get are dark, gritty murder mysteries or fantasy.

    Happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was a windy, wet storm but not as bad as north of us. I’ve always loved scary books and movies. My family thinks I’m odd. LOL

  9. I agree with you. Everything was feeling pretty good until I went back to work. Now I feel all stressed and rushed all of the time.

  10. Hopefully you made it through the storm okay! I know it was dangerous in parts of the south. We just got a ton of rain here.
    Have a good week!

  11. Carole says:

I need to get back to the Cozy Corgi series. It is a lot of fun! We have snow so it does feel like winter here but it jumps back and forth and we have had some nicer days. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love the Corgi series. Fred and Watson are such fun! We’re getting a warm spell here and will be in the 70s all week:)

  12. sjhigbee says:

Urg! I’m guessing the storm is coming in because there’s a collision of warm and cold air… I hope it isn’t too bad after all! And as you were working on and off throughout the Christmas break – which is what seems to happen when it falls midweek, at least you don’t have that horrible shock when everything returns to normal!
I hope the coming week is a good one, Laura – and you’re able to put your feet up a bit and relax:)

    • fuonlyknew says:

The storm wasn’t too bad here. You wouldn’t know it by the people who came out in droves, stocking up like it was a hurricane approaching. LOL I do have a couple of days off this coming week and plan on relaxing and napping. LOL

  13. i still have 2 cozy corgis waiting to be read. they are such fun. the storm blew a bit, had a few drops of rain, but mostly missed us. i can live with that. lol

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have one left to read and I love the series! We didn’t get much of the storm here either. Can’t say I’m sorry about it. LOL

  14. yvonne473 says:

I have to read that Corgi series. I have it on my Kindle but haven’t had a chance. Looks good.

I hope the storm isn’t too bad. Stay safe!

  15. Beware Of The Reader says:

I hope the storm won’t hit you too hard Laura! And yes the weather is also weird here!

  16. Hope you enjoy reading all of your new books 🙂

  17. January has been a blur for me too. I’ve been working so much! I hope you have a good week.

  18. Stormi D Johnson says:

I seen the storms we were getting headed your way so I hope all is well! I can’t believe we had tornado warnings in January! Crazy!

    • fuonlyknew says:

People were freaking out and buying supplies like it was a hurricane coming. We didn’t get much of the storm. Just some rain.

  19. I hope that the storm wasn’t too bad for you. We had lots of rain and it was nice to just snuggle up and read. Have a great week, Laura! 🙂

  20. We had such warm weather Friday and Saturday and I just know we’ll pay for it. I hope the storms didn’t hit you too hard. For some reason White Anvil is screaming at me! Hope you have a great week.

  21. I love the fact that life returns to normal so easily after the holidays. It’s nice to know that you can get right back to business!

  22. Rachel @Waves of Fiction says:

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the Corgi mysteries still. Good luck preparing for the odd weather! 🙂
