It’s been crazy busy at work. I forgot it was a holiday weekend! Wondered why so many people were out and about shopping. It’s been very hot here and I look forward to next week when I get a couple of days off. Plan to spend them reading outside and swimming in the pool.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Stay safe and take care everyone.

  1. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

Well Laura I really hope you’ll rest and relax a lot in the pool because you work so damn hard all the time! I am still happy to know that you are still healthy with the current crisis and you working in close proximity to so many people! I would give a lot to be able to be in a pool right now! I miss it so much!

  2. Misfits will of course be on my list when the paperback becomes available. I’m waiting for quite a few books but even with lockdown, it seems I’ll be waiting an extra year to get my hands on paperback copies!

  3. Berls says:

I kind of forgot it was a holiday weekend too. The concept of time is not exactly normal right now. Hope you get to enjoy a couple of days at the pool! Enjoy your reads!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The days blur together and I had to work the entire weekend. I did enjoy a couple of days off afterwards and the pool was heavenly!

  4. Greg says:

People are out and about here too, it’s definitely a holiday weekend haha! And it snuck up on me too. I’m like Memorial Day weekend already??

Hope you have a good one and the pool sounds great!

    • fuonlyknew says:

There were a ton of people out shopping. Where do they get all that money!!! I want some of it. LOL

  5. sjhigbee says:

Gosh – you weren’t kidding when you said it rained books! I hope you get a chance during the coming week to put your feet up and read them by the pool. Take care, Laura:)

  6. Tammy says:

I have The Finders too, I’m excited to get started😁 Have a great, long weekend!

  7. Sam@WLABB says:

I think more people are just out in general. Here by me too. I had to wait on line to get into Target yesterday, and that’s a first for me since this all started. I hope you enjoy your time off!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I do notice people just wandering around and not buying much. I imagine it feels good to just get out and about.

  8. I have only read two of the books in the Ruth Galloway series, but I enjoyed them.It would take me a while to get to The Lantern Men, but I’m inspired to keep going.

Enjoy your week and your books, and here are my
    WEEKLY UPDATES

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m jumping into the series with The Lantern Men. If I like it, I’ll be going back and starting the series at the beginning.

  9. I forgot it was a holiday weekend as well!! Then I realized that this is the earliest possible date for Memorial day to fall and that’s why I thought it wasn’t time yet. Usually, the last Monday in May is pretty close to the end of May. Now, we have 6 days of May left after Memorial day and that really threw me off! Threw my husband off too-his coworker said “Have a great 3 day weekend” and he was like “What are you talking about”.

  10. I’m glad you have some days off coming up. It’s been warmer here too and more rainy, like 5 days a week lately. Our pool opens today but we aren’t going. We continue to stay home. I hope I’m wrong about things going to get a lot worse.

I will get Trap N Trace but on audio. Enjoy all those new reads!

  12. Liliana says:

Yeah I totally forgot it was a holiday weekend too! It’s crazy that time just keeps going even if things are crazy in the world. Idk, it’s a weird time. Lol.

  13. Katherine says:

I had forgotten it was a holiday weekend too! I’ve pretty much lost all sense of time. I hope you have a great week and enjoy all your new books!

  14. vvb says:

    Ooo, the freebies. Enjoy.

  15. Stormi D Johnson says:

Have fun when you get those days off and can relax in your pool! It was hot here the last couple days but now it looks like it could be a week of storms. 🙁 So tired of rain.

    Stay safe and happy reading!

  16. We had a 3-day week last weekend here in Canada but health care workers were not allowed vacation days until our coronavirus situation gets better. So I worked on a holiday. But I had a lovely weekend. Enjoy your new books!

  17. I don’t mind it so much when it rains books! There do seem to be a lot of people out and about for the holiday weekend. I hope you enjoy all of your new books and have a great week!

  18. I have some of the same books and can’t wait to read Misfits. I am always excited when a new Shea book comes out. And of course, I have my copy already too. I just read Until Summer Comes Around and fell in love with it. Are you on the blog tour as well? It’s easily one of my favorite books of the year so far!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m always waiting for Shea’s new books. And I’m already reading Misfits!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am on the tour for Until Summer Comes Around but didn’t get the book until the day I posted. I did finish it and loved it!

  19. That’s quite the haul, I enjoyed Please See Us I hope you do to.

Wishing you a great reading week
