 My teaser from page

I pushed open the bathroom door and smacked into something solid. A nose. A perfectly handsome nose.

“Owww!” Cole yelped.

“Oh my God. Are you alright?”

“No, I’m not alright. Geez!”

I went to touch his nose but he pushed my hand away. What else could go wrong? As that thought fluttered across my brain, a screech rang out from the top of the stairs.

Emma and Colin postpone meetings in London with their elite FBI team and head straight to Oliver. But when they arrive at York’s country home, a man is dead and Oliver has vanished.

As the danger mounts, new questions arise about Oliver’s account of his boyhood trauma. Do Emma and Colin dare trust him? With the trail leading beyond Oliver’s small village to Ireland, Scotland and their own turf in the US, the stakes are high, and Emma and Colin must unravel the decades-old tangle of secrets and lies before a killer strikes again.

My Review

I really had fun with these stories. I enjoy cozy mysteries and always ready to dive into a new series.

Abbott Cove is a small town inhabited by witches. One in particular stands out, Harper Grant. She can see and speak to the dead. Often spotted looking like she’s talking to herself, she’s fodder for the gossip mill. And you know how small towns are. To avoid this, she explains her position to the newly departed spirits when they come to her for help.

Sticking her nose into Officer Joe McGrady’s investigations means she gets to see him more often, but probably not the best way to getu p close and personal with the handsome hunk.

Both of these were fun mysteries. Nothing too gory. Lots of laughs. Mysteries that kept you guessing with a mixed compliment of suspects. And a dab or too of romantic anticipation. Harper was fun, whip smart, and not afraid to tell it like it was. I grew quite fond of her. And she sure had a vast amount of patience. Some of these ghosts she knew in their former lives. They weren’t so nice then either.

Priced at 99 cents, this set is a steal. Love the cozies. Grab a copy.

4 Stars
