by David Bell
My Tease from page 152
I knew. I knew I knew I knew. I didn’t want to hear it, but I knew.
Synopsis
Four years after Tom and Abby’s 12-year-old daughter vanishes, she is found alive but strangely calm. When the teen refuses to testify against the man connected to her disappearance, Tom decides to investigate the traumatizing case on his own. Nothing can prepare him for what he is about to discover.

“they look at me through the walls,” she said in an emotionless tone. Her eyes turned wild. “they look at me!” she screamed, “Why won’t they stop watching me?”
From “The Law of Nines” by Terry Goodkind.
It’s not really grabbing me yet 50 or so pages in, but some of his books start out pretty slow so not putting it aside quite yet.
Oooh. I love these kinds of books, especially since it seems like a crazy twist will happen at the end. Off the the TBR pile it goes.
sounds good to me
