My tease from 21% in the eBook
Then Emily had a clever idea. One thing you must never do at work is have a clever idea. If you do have one, you need to keep quiet until the urge to share it passes. Emily should have known better. She really should.

Synopsis
~ This is a short story ~
In a department store in London, a little girl called Sophie visits Santa’s magical forest with her grandfather. As they emerge from the forest, Sophie’s grandfather reports her missing… but the little girl’s right there. Is she a ghost, a twin, an alien abductee—or is there some simpler explanation? Twenty-six-year-old amateur sleuth Emily Castles has fifteen minutes to figure out the puzzle before the police are called and Christmas is ruined.
REAL ELVES is a standalone story set in London. It first appeared in the anthology Naughty or Nice in aid of Kids Need to Read. The Emily Castles mysteries can be read in any order.
Helen Smith has created a great little cozy series with the charming Emily Castles Criminal Element.

I’m into my Christmas reads now that Halloween is over. Got lots of them.
I started Two Graves last night. It kept shouting at me from my bedside table:)
So you couldn’t resist! I just got in after being out all day and let me tell you that’s a heavy book to be lugging around in my purse, lol. But I knew I’ll probably have at least 30 minutes to read, which I did, so it was worth it.
So true about keeping clever ideas to oneself! lol
It sure is. I’ve learned that one. LOL

I love the teaser There are so many places where it’s best to keep your clever ideas to yourself or else you will get put in charge of them. Wonder if that’s what happened to Emily. Thanks for visiting my Teaser http://razzberrycoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2014/11/teaser-tuesday-silent-murders-by-mary.html

LOL. That is entirely too true most of the time. Great teaser!
I agree. Best to be careful with those brilliant ideas. LOL
Hi Laura,
I’m not much of one for reading ‘seasonal’ stories, however your teaser lines were both very intriguing and ones which I could so relate to.
Helen Smith sounds like quite a prolific author and at a mere 35 pages, what’s not to like about this book, unless of course the story is left unfinished, which would be very frustrating.
I do like any story, whatever its length, to have a strong opening, a solid stroyline and a definitive ending!
Thanks for sharing and enjoy the remainder of your week.
Yvonne
This is seasonal but could be read at any time of year. It’s a short story.has an intriguing beginning, and fun all the way to the end. It doesn’t leave you hanging:)
