Welcome to The Friday 56 hosted by Freda’s Voice.
This is a really fun meme!
The only rules are to grab a book (any book), turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader and find a sentence or a few (no spoilers) that grabs you and post it.
Then go over to Freda’s Voice and leave your link so we can visit your 56!
My 56 for this week is from
Choices
by Sarah Ann Walker
My 56 is actually from page 65.
I wish I could scream every disappointment of every single thing this man who claims I’m the love of his life has done to me this year. I wish I could make him understand what he’s done to what was once us. But I doubt he’d understand anyway.
~~~~~
Synopsis
“Crying, I can’t help but realize, nothing in life can destroy you faster
than your own choices…”
Samantha Newman is awesome.
She has best friends, a soul mate, and the love of her life.
She is loved, and she loves in return.
She is sexy, intelligent, successful, and happy.
People gravitate toward her, and live for her love…
Until she has an accident.
Recovering, things begin changing in and around her.
Samantha is no longer loved and trusted, and she’s no longer happy.
When her life becomes little more than grey darkness,
She slowly loses everyone who ever mattered to her.
Through a series of choices made,
Samantha become nothing but a memory of her former self.
Thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew!
Leave your link and I’ll drop by your 56.
I am interested in what happens to her later on!
I read some more last night. I fear this one will rip my insides out! LOL
Sounds interesting. I hope you are enjoying the book. My 56 this week comes from No Mercy by Lori Armstrong – a gritty mystery set in South Dakota. Happy reading!
I’ve been to South Dakota a couple of times. So lovely in the Black Hills.
Based on the cover, I wonder if I can guess what the choices are about… 🙂
Check out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): http://never-anyone-else.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-friday-56-with-book-beginnings-fold.html
I think you’d be surprised.
Wow the quote is very compelling and reminded me of a headline I just read in the newspaper today and a woman who asked a judge to take away her husbands guns because every time he gets made he pulls them out and shoots something.
Some of the best reads are ones that could actually happen.
Sounds like a great read…enjoy!
It’s very emotional:)
This sounds like a seriously tough read. Hope you enjoy it though I suspect it will require a box of tissues!
Touch, yes. I have to be in the right frame of mind while reading this one.
Oh, there is nothing worse than having bad consequences come from our own choices. Who else can we blame? Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I know. We have to accept our own blame.
This sounds like it would be an emotional read. Here is my Friday 56
Definitely emotional with many ups and downs.
Not sure this one is for me, but I hope you enjoyed it. 🙂
I wasn’t too sure myself. I’m pretty engrossed right now.
This one sounds good. I hope you enjoy this book. 🙂
Yep, I’m enjoying it. I’m about half way through it.
great quote no matter where it comes from!
I hear ya!
Excellent post and interesting cover art. The snippet draws me in and the synopsis shows me that Samantha is spiraling down. Does she lose it all?
Definitely, she’s in a world of hurt. Can’t tell you more though.
The ones who love us generally hurt us most. Great 56. Happy weekend!
Freda’s Voice
That’s so true.
So many feelings in the 56, it sounds like she’s starting to resent her partner.
And a whole lot more.
This sounds like a hard one to read. Subject wise that is.
It is. It may take me a bit to get through it. I need to be in the right mood for this one.
Your tease has made me curious. Good job.
sherry @ fundinmental
Yeah. Thanks, Sherry:)
That sounds intense. Thanks for visiting my blog. Happy Weekend!
It is very intense and emotional.
Wow! Thank you for posting my book as your 56. I love that quote. I really hope you love Samantha and her choice…
Best wishes,
Sarah Walker
I’m over half way through now and hope to get to the end soon!Your cover art is perfect for this story!
Thank you!
That 56 (err 65) is pretty compelling!
It grabbed me. I wanted to use this book but there wasn’t anything good on page 56 so I transposed. LOL
