Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.
My Teaser for this week is from
A Piece Of You
A Sami Rizzo Thriller
by D.M. Annechino
My Teaser from page 25 in the paperback.
“How the hell did we ever get around before GPS?” Sami asked Osbourn.
“Remember the Thomas Brother’s Guide and maps?” Osbourn said.
“Barely. Gotta love technology.”
Boy, does this bring back some memories! LOL

Read on if you want to know more.
Synopsis
Homicide Detective Sami Rizzo is at it again! She never dreamed “America’s Finest City,” would be tormented by yet another serial killer, but for the third time in the last five years a depraved maniac is stalking the streets of San Diego. Based on her qualifications and prior successes dealing with multiple murders, who else would Captain Davison assign to head the investigation? Different from Sami’s past experiences, this fanatic is like no other. His methods of killing defy everything profilers think they know about serial killers. As an intense investigation begins and bits and pieces of evidence emerge, no one can understand his motivation. He’s merciful, yet brutal. And just to make things even more confusing, all of his victims are blood-related. Is he settling a vendetta? Did he randomly pick a name out of the phone book and begin a rampage? Or is there a deeper story? Based on very little evidence and a lot of gut instincts, Detective Rizzo pieces together a complex puzzle and narrows the field of possible suspects. She learns that the killings may connect in some way to powerful people within the judicial system and doesn’t know who to trust. Ultimately, she comes face to face with the killer for a battle of brain and brawn. Can she outwit the shrewd killer, or will she be his next victim?

How about you? Got a tease? Tell me!
Not only GPS. But how did we find a quick fact before the internet? My teaser this week comes from Without a Summer by Mary Robinette Kowal. Happy reading!
I know! I’m always saying, I’ll google it! LOL
I would go crazy without GPS, I am horrible with maps…lol.
Stormi
Tuesday Teaser
I hear ya, Stormi! I’m horrible with maps too!
Oh I do love a thriller – I’m sticking this straight onto my Pinterest TBR – thanks 🙂
It’s going good so far. I meant to just grab a teaser from this but now I’m almost a third through it. LOL
Thank goodness for GPS. Except when it takes me the wrong place!
Thanks for visiting my site.
Anyone up for a Christmas teaser? Dickens’ A Christmas Carol: http://wp.me/p3Nz8P-yj
Yeah, even that can take you to OZ! LOL
Love the cover. I still love my physical maps but don’t use them very often.
sherry @ fundinmental My TT
Is it TOM TOM?
LOL, brought back memories to me also. Pulling over to the side of the road to read a map, ugh.
Mine this week is from The Elegance of the Hedgehog (L’elegance du herisson) by Muriel Barbery at http://wp.me/pZnGI-qP
How about the guys not stopping to ask for directions! LOL
Can’t remember the last year I bought a map atlas. Grateful for my GPS. My Teaser
I still have some maps. Just don’t dust them anymore. LOL
Ha! I love this. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have a GPS or Google Maps at my fingertips.
It’s been so long since I’ve used an actual map. Probably get lost!
Sounds intense! And I definitely remember those Thomas guides…LOL. Back in the 70s and 80s, I had to find my way around a new city, visiting clients and hoping not to get killed in the process. I think I like GPS better!
Here’s mine: “SNOW ANGEL COVE”
Oh yeah, GPS is better. I still don’t always trust it though:)
Definitely love a good thriller! Great teaser! Mine is from a sci-fi crime thriller this week! My teaser
Ooh a sci-fi one! I love those too!
Sounds like a good one. Here’s mine: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-12n
It’s good so far:)
Sounds like one of those stories that keep you up late at night. I love mysteries!
My Tuesday post features The Beach House.
They keep me up late, for sure. Just one more chapter….LOL
I remember buying a Thomas Guide every time a new one came out–I needed it for my job. (My agency was always so slow about sending them out–and then only would give a limited number to each office.) GPS has definitely made things easier.
This does sound good. I love a good crime fiction novel.
Have GPS, will travel, right!
We still go old school with a map 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Colletta
I still use local maps sometimes. And I use a hurricane chart in the summers. Does that count? LOL
LOL yup.
I second that! LOL
lol… I’m married to a fossil who still prefers using a HUGE roadmap alongside the GPS – and guess who is holding the damn thing upside down to work out where we are whenever we need to make an unexpected detour? Yep. The clueless one who keeps getting her left and right muddled… This crime series looks interesting – I’m guessing it’s a solid favourite?
Been there too! And you know men. They won’t stop and ask for directions. LOL
Awesome teaser. Its a wonder we all made it without today’s technology!
I know. I try to tell my son about things that were different growing up for me. No internet and video games. TV going off the air at night. He looked at me like I was nuts. LOL
GPS is great, but maps don’t come equipped with that annoying voice that announces the name of the road you’re on ever few miles.
I can’t believe I forgot about that voice! But there’s the other one that says, “Turn the map right side up!” LOL
Should I feel happy that I’ve never heard of those maps? LOL.
I might know them under a different name though – I think we used a different book here.
Probably a different one. We also had Rand/Mcnally ones.
great teaser! thanks for sharing
I do love to share. And to tease. LOL
Great tease! I love maps and this book sounds intriguing. Thanks for coming over to my blog for TT http://indie-bookworm.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/teaser-tuesday-1.html
I used to love mapping out our family trips. Miss drawing those lines:)
I always enjoy a good thriller and this one sounds really interesting. Great teaser!
I’m about half way through it now and having a good read.
Haha this teaser is very true! I use my maps app just to walk somewhere new these days – let alone drive! The book sounds intriguing too, I love a good thriller!
Funny what we get used to. The problem now isn’t getting lost, it’s what we’ll do if the GPS doesn’t work. Yikes. Watch out for the apocalypse. LOL
Haha, oh man is this teaser true! Thanks for sharing!
I know. LOL
Haha! I can remember pulling out the map to get around in Melbourne!! lol
The good old days.LOL
Ooooh! This sounds like an incredible thriller! I do agree that GPS has saved me on several occasions! 🙂
It’s getting more intense the further into I get. Yeah, GPS is great, except when it’s wrong. LOL That’s happened a time or two.
I remember my first big trip before the days of smart phones and GPS and I definitely got lost a lot, but I made it through, haha. Sounds like an interesting book, thanks for sharing!
I still carry road maps, just in case. LOL
Just one of many ways technology has changed our lives!
