Some chit chat.
Hello everyone and Happy Easter!
Not much happening here. Just chilling, watching movies and reading some good books. My son and I will probably have pizza delivered and stay right here at home. Yucky weather, anyway. Lots and lots of rain.
Wouldn’t you know it. With spring here, I thought the flu bug missed me. Nope, here I am, all yucky feeling. Hot one minute, cold the next. Muscles feel like they’ll break if I use them. LOL Luckily, it doesn’t appear to be too bad, and I’m hopeful it will go away quickly. I find staying busy keeps my mind off it, so, after spending a good portion of Saturday in bed, I’ve been reading and writing reviews for the next month or so. I also plan on going to work Monday no matter how I feel. It seems to help me not think about how I feel and, working pretty much alone, I don’t risk giving it to others.
Speaking of that. I don’t know anyone who is sick, so where did I get this bug? One guess. The grocery store. You pick up an item, someone has already handled it, and voila! You got a gift. LOL
Got lots of books to share, so let’s get to it!
I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
You had a great week in books! Sorry you’re not feeling well, I was sick last week with a nasty bug that went around the office, so I hope you get better soon. My Weekly Wrap-Up
I feel worse today. Maybe that means tomorrow I’ll feel better:) Thank you. At least I’m getting a lot of reading done. LOL
I heard yesterday on the news that the flu bug had hung around longer this year than normal…nasty thing…hope you feel better soon.
The last two years I was sick with it the whole week after Christmas. Spent my vacation in the hospital and bed. Yuck.I’m hoping this more more cold and less flu:) Thanks, Emma.
Oh, I hope you feel better soon! I just had the flu earlier in the week and also have no idea where it came from!
Loved your review of Those Who Walk in Darkness! And I’ve heard A Monster Calls is absolutely amazing, so I’m excited to see what you think!
Thanks, Annika. I hope to kick it soon. Crossing fingers, anyway. LOL I love the Lavene’s books. I never miss an opportunity to read them. This one was more of a straight mystery and fantasy and I adored it. Reading A Monster Calls right now. I spotted it on a blog and had to grab it.
Oh no! I’m sorry you’re sick. I hope you feel better soon!
Enjoy all your reads this week and have a great week!
Thanks, Nick. I’m hoping this doesn’t drag on. Just sad I didn’t get away with not getting sick this year:)
Aren’t those chilling days the best! Happy Easter! Have a great week and happy reading!
Laura @ http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-lives.blogspot.co.uk
Yep. They seem longer too. LOL Happy Easter.
Sorry you are sick!! I got super sick twice this winter and it sucked. Sadly, I can’t go to work when I’m sick because I’m a teacher! But, I know what you mean about taking your mind off it-I’m gonna feel crappy at home anyway, at least I should get something done!!
It stinks. I thought this late in the year I was safe. LOL Hope it doesn’t get any worse so I can work:)
Oh that is a bummer that you caught the flu now. I got sick right after I had my flu shot and couldn’t get rid of it for about two months it was horrid. 🙁 Hope you get well quick and have no lingering effects.
You got some great looking books and as always I grabbed some of them freebies. 🙂
Happy reading,
Stormi
Week in Review
I know how that works. The last two years I was sick with it the whole Christmas vacation. Figures. Thought I’d got lucky this year, but nope. Thanks, Stormi and have a wonderful Easter.
Booo to being sick! Sending {{{posivibes}}} to kick them to the curb.
It’s raining, chilly and blecky here, too. I plan on blog visiting and then reading. The kids are playing video games and I’m making pork chops for dinner. Just an easy lazy day hanging out inside.
Thanks for the vibes! I can use them. LOL We are having pizza tonight. No way can I stand in front of the stove. LOL
Sorry you got sick! Hope you’re feeling better, and enjoy your Easter. Love the graphic by the way (even if being sick is no fun). The Kraken Project and Lucy’s Money both look good. 🙂
I had to throw in a fun gif. Laughter is the best medicine. LOL
Just finished Kraken and it was very good. Lucy’s Money is further down om my mystery list.
Sorry you aren’t feeling so hot, but at least you got some books read. Take care!!!
sherry @ fundinmental My Sunday Memes
Thanks, Sherry. I had it all set to come over and hang with ya’ll this weekend. Figures!
Hope you feel better soon, there is so many bugs going around in my neck of the wood we should all be wearing masks like the do in Japan!
Enjoy your books, the cover of the Patrick Ness book just gives me the chills!
I hear ya and thank you:)
I just finished The Monster Calls last night. It’s filled with these fabulous illustrations and I was surprised where the author took me with the plot. Excellent!
Oh no! I hope you get over this asap! I don’t think we are ever in the clear on cold weather or bugs until May hits. I have been lax on my reading, although I worked on two reviews yesterday. Happy Easter – enjoy the pizza!
I’ve never caught a bug this late. Oh well, the worst is over, right! Couldn’t get pizza. Everything was closed. LOL We had burritos.
I hope you’re feeling better soon! The flu is the worst! Ordering in pizza and taking it easy sounds pretty nice though so hopefully you’re well enough to enjoy it. I love the covers of your spooky books. Have a great week and feel better soon!
Thanks Katherine. I’m going to kick this bug! LOL I love scary books!
The grocery store is my downfall, too, when it comes to getting the flu. Hopefully you will get over it quickly. I had some sort of 24 hour deal, but it kicked the stuffing out of me and the next day I was all wrung out. It was managable on the third day, so hopefully you will be okay at work. The Memory House looks interesting. I will be scouting over to read your review. Have a wonderful week. 🙂
Yep and using GermX doesn’t cut it either. Starting to feel better now. Should be gone by the weekend. You should read Bette’s books. They are treasures:)
I hope you’re feeling much better by now!
Better than I was:) Thank you!
Feel better. My whole house got sick this week. Guess it is going around.
I hope you all feel better too, Anthony. The edits had to go on hold. Couldn’t focus. But working on them now.
I very much hope you are now feeling better – you’ve had a great week.
Starting to feel somewhat better. Luckily I have a light week on the blog:)
I had the flu a week ago as well and it was NOT fun. I hope you are feeling better very soon, Laura!
Thanks Taylor. Being sick is such a waste of time! LOL
Man, it sucks being sick! Sorry to hear you’re under the weather. Hopefully it won’t have you down and out for too long. Have a great week!
It sure does! I’m starting to feel better now. Thanks so much:)
