Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB at Books And A Beat.
.
My Teaser for this week is from
Girl Of Mine
by Taylor Dean
Genre: Romance
My teaser is from page 46 of the paperback.
Her senses were suddenly on overload as the mundane became out-of-the-ordinary. Splashing water and loud laughter echoed from the vicinity of the pool, Creed sang about one last breath over the airwaves, the smell of campfire and roasted marshmallows met her nostrils, and the feel of Luke’s supple yet roughened skin tickled her nerve endings.
All of these things would be forever associated with meeting Lucas Graham for the first time.

I’ve been reading Taylor Dean’s books for several years and she never fails to give me some wonderful characters to fall for!
Read on if you want to know more.
Synopsis
HE CAME HOME
The year is 2003 and Captain Lucas Graham is at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, about to be deployed to Iraq. A few weeks ago, he broke his engagement with Jillian Barrett, leaving her stunned and heartbroken.
Knowing he can’t leave for war without putting his affairs in order, Luke obtains a four day pass with only one goal in mind: explain his life story to his former fiancée.
The problem: Jill is now engaged to another man.
But Luke isn’t giving up. He only has four days to gain an audience with Jill, even if he has to resort to drastic measures to do so.
And he will . . .

Thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew!
I don’t normally go for romances unless they’ve got a humor or mystery bend to them but this does sound like it might be good!
Romance is not my normal reading genre either, but I’d never pass up one by Taylor!
This is a very descriptive teaser. It sounds like a great book. The teaser on my adult blog comes from a mystery – Cold Girl by RM Greenaway. Happy reading!
I know. That’s why I wanted to share it:)
Not a huge contemporary fan, but glad you found an author in that genre that you love. 🙂
I’m not either. Stormi. But anything Taylor writes, any genre, I’ll be in line to read it!
It sounds loads of fun. I hope you go on enjoying it and many thanks for swinging by to take a look at my TT earlier:). Have a great reading week!
Oh, I am:) I can’t wait to see how things work out.
This sounds like a fun read. 🙂
Here’s my teaser.
It sure is so far and with a promise of more to come:)
I do love how sights, sounds, and scents can take us back to a time in our lives….thanks for sharing. Here’s mine: “BREAKDOWN”
I know. It’s like reliving the past.
Thanks, Laura, for featuring Girl of Mine on your Teaser Tuesday! I hope you enjoy the book!
I’m so happy to share it, Taylor. And I am enjoying it!
This sounds like it will be a compelling read! I have mixed feelings when it comes to stealing someone from someone else–but if it’s done right, I can get past that.
But is it stealing if their heart really belongs to the other person? I’ve not been in that situation but seen many movies like it.
Oh nice teaser!! Hope you enjoy the rest!
Thanks for visiting my post!
It was such a good one. There were many to choose from too:)
Hi Laura,
I love it when a book has so many great excerpts to share, that you just don’t know which ones to share and which to keep all to yourself 🙂
I do read contemporary romantic fiction, but only on a very occasional basis and usually only by request.
I hope that this one was worth changing your normal reading genres for. If you find a great author whose work you can relate to, then that’s most of the battle won.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Yvonne
I know. I had a lot of sticky notes sticking out for different excerpts I want to use.
I’m honest when I say, Taylor could write about cleaning house and I’d read it. LOL
This book has me dreaming of summer already. If not for that cover, your teaser also sounds like the perfect beach read! <3
I know. I do plan to read it sitting at my outdoor office. Taking a pause now and then to dip in the pool:)
Haven’t started this yet, but it’s sitting on the table, waiting…
It’s right by my bed. LOL
