Some chit chat.
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!
What a fabulous weekend!
The sun is shining, the sky is so blue, and the water in the pool is just the right temperature.
And I have done absolutely nothing productive! LOL
I’ve read books, watched movies and shows, swam in the pool, and taken a nap.
No house cleaning. No yard work. Nothing but nothing!
It feels so good and I think I’ll try to do it more often.
So, what did you do this weekend?
I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
You know, swimming is exercise, and napping is resting which is very important, and you have to read because you run a book blog… these are all very productive things 😉
Glad you enjoyed your week, and it looks like you have some great new books to enjoy!
LOL All good points!
Sounds like a good week- if I had a pool I would be spending some time in it too (if it was warm enough here, which of course it isn’t lol). Nice review of Deadly Dunes this week- it looks fun.
I wouldn’t even go outside in the summer with my pool to cool off in! Deadly Dunes was so fun. I’ve read all three books in the series and enjoyed them all.
It sounds as if you’ve been doing everything you should be doing in such weather Laura! Wonderful!
Am keen to see what you think of The Fireman!
Yep. And I hope to have more weekends like this:)
My review of The Fireman will be on my Teaser Tuesday post.
That sounds like a perfect weekend. Very jealous!
It was perfect. I plan to do it as often as I can. LOL
Seriously great haul this week! I love the covers for Rachel Hawkin’s series. I’m thinking I need those now 😉
It’s been too cool here this week for the pool (blackberry winter). I’m hoping it warms up this week.
Here’s my Sunday Post.
This is my first time reading Rachel’s books. I’m sure looking forward to them. My mother is in Michigan and she told me they had snow flurries Sunday and Monday!
Kicking back and doing nothing is great therapy! Can’t miss an opportunity to enjoy fabulous weather.
You got that right!!
Sounds like wonderful days–reading, swimming, watching shows, napping I love the blue skies and even the rain since it keeps everything green and growing. I hope you can keep having fun times like these, Laura!
Thanks, Jan. I plan to enjoy my weekends to the fullest!
It takes a lot of beating – chilling out and reading:)). I enjoyed your review of The Colony and am SORELY tempted… but I have so many books stacking up! Hope you have a great week and and WISH our weather was warm enough to consider going near a swimming pool that isn’t indoors and heated. This is my Sunday Post
https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/05/15/sunday-post-15th-may/
Thanks so much. The Colony was my first book by the author and it was a fun one. I’ll be following her series now:)
What a wonderful week! I would love to have that week, too. I miss the two summers I sublet a friend’s apartment and swam every day. It was marvelous. I need to get up on the reading this week.
It was fabulous. I’m going to try to do it as often as possible now that summer is finally here:)
I wanna do a little more nothing but nothing! Sounds heavenly. I rarely allow myself to relax like that–and I need to. Good for you for giving yourself permission to do so. You deserve it!!
Thanks Taylor. And as busy as you always are, you need some ‘nothing but nothing’ too! LOL
I always pick books over housework. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of The Fireman, it is on my New Audiobook Releases post this week.
I do as often as I can. At some point I have to clean, though. LOL The Fireman was different from what I thought, in a good way. My review will be on my Teaser Tuesday post.
Yeah, I had to do several loads of laundry today. (They are still waiting to be put away). I will watch for you Tuesday post.

I love the covers of the Rebel Belle books. Enjoy them all!! Have a great week!
They do look fun, don’t they! I plan to read them back to back.
Sounds like we had the same weekend 🙂 I’ve been busy the last several weekends, so lying around was the perfect remedy. And I loved every minute. Enjoy your new books!
It’s something we all need to do more often:)
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! Hope you have a great week!
It was. Now just to get more like it. LOL
Enjoy that weather girl! And thanks for the freebie links! (as if I need any others on my Kindle lol)
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week 🙂
Thanks, Jenn. I did enjoy the weekend and plan on having a few more like it. LOL Happy to share those freebies!
Swimming, I want to go swimming! Coming by to say kind of late but it’s been a tiring day as I just got home this morning from Chicago (BEA) and I am tired but trying to stay up a bit so I sleep really good tonight…lol.
Happy reading!
Stormi
Week in Review
I can’t wait to hear how BEA went and how your furbabies did while you were gone, Stormi!
Enjoy your weather for me, too! Ours got cold again. I have been freezing for the last three days and miss having the windows open. Have a fabulous week.
That’s awful. I wish I could share it with you. My mother is in Michigan and she said it snowed there over the weekend. Good thing she’s coming down here Wednesday and spending the summer.
That is my kind of weekend. Doesn’t come too often, but when it does!!
I know. I need more like this!
I am super jealous of your week. I LOVE doing nothing!!! I am curious to see what you thought of The Drafter. I got a copy of that as well but have been on the fence about it!
The Drafter was different from what I expected. The strong writing swept me up, though. I’m reviewing it Tuesday.
Sounds nice just chilling like that.
I sure needed it, Anthony. Now I’m ready to get cracking and write those reviews and do some editing. Hint hint. LOL
ooo. Thanks for the all freebie intel! – Lauren
Happy to share. It’s always fun to browse for freebies and I try to choose some for everyone’s taste.
I have read Rachel Hawkins other series but I have not had a chance to read the ones you got. Can’t wait to see what you thought of them!
Happy Reading! Dani @ Paulette’s Papers
This is my first time reading her books. Looking forward to some fun stories:)
Books books and more books. Enjoy the pool. 🙂 Looking forward to the upcoming weekend!

Oh yeah…to everything! LOL
Sounds like you had a great weekend with nice weather and lots of relaxing. Sometimes it’s good to take some time off to relax! I hope you’ll have a great week!
I sure needed it, Lola. And I hope to do it again soon.
