This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.
I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Some chit chat.
Ever had one of those weeks where you seem to be moving in slow motion? LOL I had one. And do you know what I did about it. I had a three day weekend and pretty much did nothing but TV and reading. Talk about a reboot of energy. Friday I stayed in bed til 8 A.M. finishing a book. Then I lolled around, ate too much, took a long nap and stayed up late reading. Saturday was a repeat. Today I plan to take a dip in the pool and hit some thrift shops. Maybe I’ll find some books!

That sounds like a pretty good 3 day weekend to me! And I want to read Ararat. Looks good… and cold!! Wave and Die looks pretty good too.
Ice has a nice cover too though. I seem to be drawn to those books set in frozen locations lol. Not that I want to go there…
It was just what the doctor ordered, Greg! Ararat is excellent. I had to grab Wave and Die just because of that title. And I too am drawn to wintry settings. No matter the genre.
Oh – that week-end sounds like heaven! We have had been grandparenting this past week and while it is a joy, it is also very tiring given the age gap between them. Ararat looks really intriguing – and lovely to see a book by Stella Whitelaw pop up – it will be a solidly good read because she’s a very experienced author. Hope you have a great week re-energised and fighting fit! My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/04/23/sunday-post-23rd-april-2017/
It’s been the best relaxing weekend, Sarah. Yours sounds busy. LOL Ararat was thrilling. And I’m looking forward trying a book by Stella. Your praise is encouraging:)
You’ve posted so much again 🙂 I haven’t read anything much this week, but I finally posted my Radium Girls review! Here’s my Sunday update: http://avalinahsbooks.space/sunday-post-3/
Blogging ahead pays off again. LOL I’ll be ober shortly to check out your post and your review of Radium Girls.
your week sounds marvelous to me Laura! I don’t remember my last week moving in slow motion! 🙂 nothing but TV and reading eating and more eating is HEAVEN. Hallelujah! and there is a pool involved and finding MORE BOOKS! Oh I love your life 🙂 So happy for you <3<3
and man… that haul looks good. Especially Save my Soul. Can't wait for that review!
I started Save My Soul and never got to finish it. Now I plan to. That cover sure is something! And I feel so relaxed now that I’ve taken a break. Wish it was longer. LOL
Great set of books you got there! I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my Sunday Post!

Thanks. I plan on it:)
I love lazy weekends like that! you pretty much described my spring break! I was in book lover heaven! Have a great week!
Samantha The Book Disciple
My spring break was spent catching up on cleaning and chores for the most part so this mini one was all about me. LOL
I read Ararat as an ARC earlier this year and enjoyed it. I quite like the sound of the first book in The Ashes series…might be taking a look at those books. I haven’t read anything under the JA Konrath name but I did like what I’ve tried of Jack Kilborn. Some noce covers there-I like Ice! Love the dog on The Darkest Thread too…
I’m thinking I found this book through you? We do enjoy some of the same genres and authors. The Ashes was super fast and chilling. I went and grabbed the first book too. You’d like Konrath if you like Kilborn. They go to dark places. LOL The Darkest Thread is one of the freebies I grabbed. Was going to start it last night but got distracted by Netflix. LOL
ARARAT is outstanding!! I read it as a NetGalley ARC. Think you’ll love it!
I finished it last night. You’re right. I loved it! What a great movie it would be.
I’m looking forward to reading Ararat soon. I hope you enjoy it!
Finished it and boy does the suspense build!
Sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. No shame in that. 🙂
Hope you’re having a fun time at the thrift stores. ~Aleen
I didn’t make it to the thrift stores. It was raining so guess what I did? Yep, more reading. LOL
Lazy weekend are my FAVORITE! I don’t have them enough. 🙂
Going to go check out all those awesome book covers you have up there.
Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading!
We never get enough of them so I took full advantage!
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me 🙂 Oooohhhh…all those books look so good, too. Have a great week!
I do have some good ones to curl up with:)
I’m definitely intrigued with Ararat, and you have a few other books I need to check out. Hope you have a great week!
Check out my Sunday Post
I just finished Ararat. It would be a great movie!

I’m reading Origin right now. That one is next.
Thanks for the Spell Disaster freebie! I listened to the first book and enjoyed the cozy witchy mystery.
Hey, sometimes we need that down time to let our minds reboot and catch up. Glad you had nice weekend! Have a great week!
I love to shop for freebies. It’s fun to try to find different books for everyone. The hard part is not grabbing all of them for myself. LOL
That sounds like my kind of weekend! This past weekend The Man and I slept so much, catching up on way too much missed during the week. I’m all thrown off by it. All weekend I was so mixed up about what day it was and what time it was. I had no sense of time.
Oh my, all those books!!! And I’m so sorry it’s taken me the whole week to visit you :O Busy, busy… I hope you’ve had a great week 🙂
