Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

I could have sworn I just did my Sunday Post. LOL Man is time flying. The big day is only a week away and I can’t wait. Especially for those 10 days off of work. They’re much needed.

So, I watched a bunch of Christmas shows and movies. Got me all in the mood. And then I took a left turn and binged a bunch of werewolf movies. Don’t know what took me there but I had a howling good time. One of my favorite’s is Wolfen. An older film but really well done, has an original plot, and brings out all the scares. And I finally watched one that’s been on my Netflix list fr a long time. Little Dead Riding Hood. It was kind of fun with another original plot. And I rewatched Late Phases. It’s a little known film that I really like.

And I’ve been a naughty girl. All of those holiday reads are still waiting for me. I ended up reading a bunch of paranormal investigation stories instead. I was organizing the books on my Kindles and was surprised at how many I had so I got curious, opened one up, and got stuck reading one after the other. Found some really good ones too.

How about ya’ll. Been reading those holiday books and watching the shows? Or have you been naughty?

I know, this week flew by. And 10 days off- nice! I love long Christmas breaks!

I like a good werewolf movie. I think I remember Wolfen! Barely, but I’m sure I saw it. We need more of those. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can’t wait for Friday so I begin my vacation. So needed:) Wolfen was a good one and I still have more werewolf movies to watch.

  2. Oh lots of new books. Yay, so happy for you. I hope you enjoy them all and have a wonderful reading week. Thank you for the freebies. I love freebies! ❤️😁

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s always a season of giving when there’s new books:) And I have such fun browsing for freebies to share.

  3. Well, you still have an entire week to catch up on those holiday reads 🙂 have a great week!

  4. Wow! That’s a lot of books you got there! I’ve been watching many Christmas specials lately and I’m really getting into the mood of Christmas! I still can’t believe it’s next week!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

  5. I’m the anti-Christmas Scrooge kind of girl! I never watch these holiday films! I’d rather have binged on the horror! I haven’t had time to get watching films yet as I’m still preparing all the blog posts for the entire festive period!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have about a half dozen scary holiday movies to watch this coming weekend. LOL Can’t neglect my favorite genre, can I?

  6. I am so excited for Christmas. I can’t wait and I only took off Thursday and Tuesday. I just love the chaos. 🙂

I hope you have an amazing week, Laura! Happy Reading! 🙂

  7. I have watched a lot of holiday movies, mainly because nothing else is on that I care to watch and I use them for background noise while I am on the computer. I have read several Christmas cozies but only one romance. I have a couple others but I don’t think I will get to them before Christmas and one of them really isn’t hitting the mark so it could be a DNF Christmas cozy!!! 🙁

I am curious as to how you organize your kindle, do you put everything into collections and does that work well? My Kindle is full to the brim with things that I don’t even know I have because it’s buried in there somewhere…lol.

    Have a great week!

I plan on holiday binging this week to set the mood. Got some fun ones in mind.
I organize my books by collections and genres and then by authors. I had to archive all of them and then add them as I organized them. Still got a ways to go but getting there.

  8. I’m so happy I’m not the only one flipping through my kindle and then going ‘oooh, that looks different’ and then read that and all the other books in the series before getting back to the planned program 😀
I’ve watched some Christmas movies, too, but they were dubbed in French, which just made them even cheesier, so no new faves this year.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  9. karen blue says:

Haha! I get distracted like that as well. I really just want to watch The Grinch this year (the one with Jim Carrey) to get in the mood. I want to live in Whoville where it is always Xmas and snowing. Lol!
You posted so much this week. I don’t know how you do it honestly. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love Whoville! Don’t know about living in the snow all year round. But,,,they don’t seem to be cold. LOL Most of the posts are giveaways for tours. I wanted to share plenty of chances to win prizes. Tis the season:)

  10. Chrissy says:

Enjoy your days off from work!!!

    Have a great week!

  11. sjhigbee says:

Every so often it’s good to let your reading take a left turn, I think:). Glad you’re feeling Christmassy and I hope you don’t have too much to do this coming week. Take care and best of luck with all those paranormal whodunits:)

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep, reading something just for the fun of it sure refreshes my reading mojo, Sarah:) I only work four days this week and I’m sure they’ll be busy and fly by!

  12. Jenea says:

Hehe, I have so many holiday books staring at me and I keep reading scary thriller book. So I feel ya. Lol… 10 days off sounds amazing though. Enjoy them. And all those new books too.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m so bad. Luckily they are all of my own books, not ones for review. LOL I’m still reading a paranormal investigation series right now and having a good scare.

  13. My husband loves werewolf movies! He watches all the little known ones he can find. I hope you have a great week!

  14. Oh 10 days off is nice. I am taking a bloggy break, but still will be working for home, although it will be a lighter load. I will have the Royals, but only 3 days each week due to the holiday. Anh honestly loving my grands is not really work. Have a fantastic week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am really looking forward to the time off. And you can bet I’ll be doing a lot of reading:) Enjoy the grands! It’s what the holidays and life is all about, Kim!

  15. Yvonne says:

I should binge watch some holiday shows to help set the mood. I’m not quite feeling it yet, but I have read a couple of Christmas books. Still not getting in the mood. I need to read more 🙂 Enjoy your time off from work! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I watched White Christmas and felt so good afterwards. Right now I’m watching The Sound Of Music. How could I forget such a wonderful movie. And I still remember the words to all of the songs!

  16. I’ve been reading my holiday books, but I haven’t been really watching the shows. I’ll run them in the background while I’m working on stuff, but I am about ready to switch over to Forensic Files.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am reading a couple holiday books now. But one is scary. LOL I also had to watch Joe Kenda. Love those crime investigation shows.

  17. I re-watched Elf and The Polar Express. I guess my taste in movies is very childish. Have a great week!

  18. I’ve been reading as many books as possible and binging christmas movies when I’m not! I’ve been loving Ira Levin and Marie Brennan this month 🙂 I hope you enjoy some festive books!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can’t stop reading. As soon as I’m done with a book, I grab another and another! Having lots of luck and finding some really good ones too.

  19. A Renfro says:

No holiday reads this year, but my kids are watching Christmas movies and shows. Guess that counts, right? I think you have inspired me to write that Werewolf Christmas mashup I’ve been thinking about. Enjoy your down time.

  20. My husband and I have been watching some old 80’s horror movies lately. We watched one of my favorites – Monster Dog – which happens to be about werewolves Friday night. AND it feature Alice Cooper so that makes it extra interesting. I had to go grab the Zombie Apocalypse book because it sounded so unique. Time is definitely flying and here’s to time off!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I remember that movie but forgot about Alice Cooper. It was a good one! I have a huge line up of apocalyptic and dystopian books to read. I’m going to be very busy on the blog after the holidays. LOL

  21. I’m going to start watching Christmas movies this week. Have you ever watched any Christmas horror films?

Are you still doing your Monday Movie post on Christmas day? or having a day off? 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

What??? LOL You bet I have. Especially evil santa’s, snowmen, and anything Krampus related. Have you seen the Jack Frost movies. They’re old and cheesy but bloody fun!
And I’m trying to get a post together. Hopefully I can get it done in time for Christmas day.

  22. I love that you watched Christmas and werewolf movies. What a combination! 🙂

  23. I grabbed Resurrection. Thanks for adding to my mountainous reading list. 🙂

  24. Katherine P says:

That’s definitely a left turn from Christmas to werewolf movies! Looks like you got some great books! I want to read more Lucy Burdette and the Kathleen Bridge looks great!
