This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.
Iβm also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Some chit chat.
It was another beautiful week. Temps were around 80 and the sun was shining. I’m starting to stock up on pool supplies and doing some spring clean up in the yard. Time to cut back and clear the dead stuff. This weekend is a bit cooler so the perfect time to do it.
And I’m sharing more pics of my plant.
Here’s last week.
And now one week later.
Can you believe how fast it’s growing. It’s going to be so amazing this year!
And one sure sign spring is here in my neck of the woods is when the buds appear on my pecan trees. My camera didn’t want to focus so this is a bit blurry, but what you see is a soft brown tip forming on the end of the branch. As soon as it turns green the leaves will start to open.
Sta tuned. I’ll be sharing about my Sega and banana trees soon.
Have a fabulous Sunday!

We’re shivering in the cold temps here and wishing the snow would vanish so we can get to the shops! While we don’t need anything I just want some junk food for my mood! I could do with some warm sunny days right now!
I’ve been watching the weather reports for your area. You are buried in the white stuff. Glad to hear you didn’t lose power and I hope you’re microwave slippers and chocolate make it this week. LOL
yes you got spring Laura! No doubt! [little jealous here π ] You plant is so beautiful. Does it have a name. I would probably have named it if I had a plant that gorgeous because I pretty much have a brown thumb, Nothing survives me. Not even cactuses π
I never thought of giving it a name. I think next week I’ll have you guys help me name it when I share more pictures! Funny you mention cactus. I don’t have luck with them in pots.
I never thought of naming a plant either, but why not?

I know. Now for suggestions. LOL
Thank you for the freebies! And it’s spring or even summer where you are while we are freezing here! Shocking I had forgotten what grean plants looked like LOL
I had so much fun browsing for freebies. Try to find something for everyone but some weeks it’s slim pickings:) I’ve watched the weather and it shocks me how lovely it is here and miserable other places. Spring break just started here.
I’m so jealous of that spring π we’ve got boatloads of snow and -22C! I just want to feel warm again xD
I was watching the weather over there. You are buried in the white stuff! I’ll send some warmth your way:)
Wow it’s really shooting up. I’ve been seeing green popping up here too- spring is coming! Glad you’ve had nice temps. 80’s sounds SO good- can’t wait for the warm up to arrive here. π
Clowders looks spooky, and I like the look of Ice too.
I’m enjoying going to work in shorts and a t-shirt! Clowders was eerie and I’m excited for Lauren’s new series. Such a great cover for Ice!
Your plant has grown so much!! It is going to be amazing this year. I think you were right, it will be bigger than last year!
I need to get the mulch down so I can keep it contained, otherwise it leafs out too much and doesn’t get as big and full.
It is lovely looking at your garden where everything is thriving, given that my plants are looking wretched and sad now the snow has gone… I think I’ve probably lost my echiums:(. Still, it’s cheering to watch everything grow so well in your neck of the woods, Laura:). I’m looking forward to hearing the new name for your plant!
I think I did lose one plant out front. I had matching ones and lost one last winter. Now it looks like the second one is gone. We’ll see. I am going to get creative with naming the plant. LOL
I can’t believe you’re already thinking about opening the pool. So wish I lived in a warm climate!
Oh yes. My sister already got in her pool and I’m jealous. LOL I have a new pump and part coming and hope to have mine ready in a week or so. It’s hot in the sun here!
We’re finally getting some good weather here too – we were nonstop rain until 2 days ago. Your plant is growing so fast! Wow! Looks like you grabbed some good freebies – I’m going to check and see if they’re still free π Have a great week!
We had two weeks of rain and now two weeks of gorgeous sunshine!
It’s so nice to see green and I’m enjoying your plant updates. I just read The Boy Who Swallows Flies last week for a blog tour this week. I enjoyed it soooo much and think you’ll have fun reading it!
It just amazes me how fast it is growing! I have some others to share now too! I’ve just started the book and already fun!
We had some sure signs of spring, but then we had a set back with the snow we got. Hopefully we will get some sunshine and warm weather so the trees can leaf out.
It has been the strangest winter. It doesn’t seem to know what it wants to do.
I love your plant pictures! So cool! Have a great week!
I’m having so much fun sharing their growth!
LOVE the look of your garden. That won’t happen here for another two months. I’m excited to read ICE and I think I have Cooper’s book Good Guys Love Dogs. Enjoy your reading week!
I’m loving all of the green. It’s everywhere now! I can’t wait to read Ice. I love Lauren’s books and so excited about her new series!
Oh I would love for our weather to finally take the last corner to the warmer weather. The plants are growing nicely! Have a great week!
We’re getting a cold blast right now. Dipping into the 40s at night and around 60 during the day. It’ll be out of here in a couple of days though.
I love the vivid green of the plant! π We are still pretty much covered with snow here, although most of this last storm’s dump didn’t stick on sidewalks and roads because we had had a couple of really warm days that warmed up the surfaces before it snowed. BANANAS! Come on bananas. π
I love the cover of Avalon. I hope you had a good week. βΊ
Your plant looks amazing!! I hope you had a great week!
