I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

Here we are again. Another week flies by and nothing much to report. Rain here every afternoon and steamy hot.

I almost forgot! I do have something crazy to tell you. I went to work Monday. A normal day. Went to leave and my car wouldn’t start. The starter just died. Had to leave it for repairs. That’s one great thing about where I work. There is the detail side, where I work. Then we also have a large mechanics shop and tire center. Very convenient for me! I was given a loaner truck to drive home. I went to work Tuesday. Got done. Was getting ready to leave and my boss told me he had damaged my car while moving it the day before. They had to tow it from around the corner and forgot and left the driver’s door open. You guessed it! The door caught on a steel frame pole and was bent back to the front quarter panel. I still have the truck to drive as mine is now at the body shop. My boss felt so bad. I wasn’t mad though. Accidents happen and my car will be fixed and back to me next week. All pretty again.

Got some more pics to share.

Remember the sega seed ball that was forming?

Here’s an update. It’s way bigger than my head now! I’m going to get lots of new plants from it this year. It’s soft, like velvet.

And some of you asked about the banana trees. Here they were when they first started growing.

20180512_105619

And remember the pink flowers with the small green corn stalk leaves?

20180512_105658

Here’s the banana trees. Reaching above the house!

And both of them now. The smaller ones on the left are what’s left after the pink flowers die. Still don’t know what that plant is. LOL

I love green!

Have a fabulous  Sunday and brand new week!

  1. I love seeing photos of your plants! They’re getting so big! Have a good week, and happy reading! 🙂

  2. Greg Hill says:

Oh my Overlord looks like a trip! Looks like some fun reads! Bodies at the Beach looks fun too.

Wow growing growing! Funny how fast stuff like that grows when the warm weather comes! And that’s funny (well not funny) about your car- I’ll bet he did feel bad, yikes! Glad they’re gonna get it taken care of.

    Have a nice weekend!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I had to laugh after I put this post together. All those cozies, and then…. the horror. LOL My boss felt so bad. He wasted no time getting a new starter put in and setting up the repairs at the body shop.

  3. Right, I’m checking out those three horrors straight away! I can never get enough sea monsters in my life!!!

  4. I love your plant pics so much! We couldn’t grow anything like that here so they’re amazing to see.
Thanks for the free book links too 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

They’re tropical plants so they pretty much take care of themselves:) Enjoy the freebies.

  5. Rachel says:

Wow! Sorry about your car. I probably wouldn’t be angry either, as long as they took responsibility.

    • fuonlyknew says:

He’s fixing it quick and I have a loaner so really nothing to complain about. Plus it’s a family owned business and we’ve al know each other for many years. Hard to get mad when they are like family to me:)

  6. sjhigbee says:

Thank you for your wonderful, enthusiastic endorsement of the Sunblinded trilogy, complete with links and reviews! How KIND of you:)).

And I’m blown away by the speed at which everything is growing in your garden. Those banana trees – and that fabulous sega seed ball. Sorry to hear about your car – I think you are being very grown up about it, I hope your boss appreciates your attitude:). In the meantime, have a lovely weekend and enjoy that marvellous garden!

    • fuonlyknew says:

You’re welcome, Sarah. I love to share authors and books i enjoy. Can’t wait to see how it all ends in the series. Looking at my plants makes me feel good inside. And the car will be fixed quickly and at least I have a loaner until then.

  7. kozbisa says:

Oh, no! What a mess with your car. At least you have the loaner, and when you get it back it will start (hopefully). We were blessed with some cooler weather this weekend. It was in the 50s last night, but the temps will rise again. Stay cool.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ll look like new and yes it will start. LOL They had to fix that first to drive it to the body shop. It’s so hot here but getting rain every afternoon helps cool it down a bit. Plus the plants are loving it.

  8. Jeez, so sorry to hear about the car situation. Hopefully it gets worked out soon for you. At least you were able to get a loaner vehicle. Love the new books, hope you enjoy them. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

The loaner is a riot. A bog loud truck with huge tires. Sounds like I’m in a small airplane going down the road. Fun to drive though. LOL

  9. carolesrandomlife says:

I am sorry that happened with your car but at least it is being taken care of. Not everyone would be so understanding. Your plants are beautiful! Enjoy all of your books and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I always think it’s a waste of time and energy to get or stay mad. Everything is taken care of and we are a close knit group at work.

  10. I love the pictures of your plants! If I did a picture of anything in my garden you would think the apocalypse had come early lol!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It gets so hot here that if it doesn’t rain or I water them often, mine would look like that too. LOL

  11. I love seeing your plants! That sega is super cool! Bummer about your car but its awesome that you have a loaner!

  12. I am intrigued by the plants. At least yours turn into actual trees (I guess); I have plants growing on my patio that sometimes look like real plants…but this year, they are weeds. Plain and simple weeds, which I’ve clipped.

Thanks for sharing..I still like the look of Dying for a Taste. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  13. How handy with your work & car! My car loves to break down on me and everytime I have a couple hours wait until the RAC can come and tow me to the garage. 🙁

  14. Your plants are looking great. I need me a few banana plants. My segas are looking cool too. I have, for sure, two girls and a boy. Maybe I’ll remember to share some pics next week. I grabbed some freebies, the snowmen and the two Ruggles. Thanks for sharing them. Glad your car is okay and I hope you have a great week. Oh yeah, I think Steve is coming in Wednesday. I’ll give you a call.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know you are going to love Ruggle’s books, Sherry. Right up our alley. I’ll call to see when we will be getting together. Can’t wait to see Steve!

  15. Wow, sorry about your car. I’m glad it’s getting fixed. The plants look like they’re doing great. Have a good week!

  16. Gawd, the car door thing would have still agitated me, ha ha. Your boss owes you dinner at a fancy restaurant! 🚗

The BANANA tree! 😍🍌 Are there baby bananas yet?

Have a wonderful week and I hope the weather gets better. 🌞

  17. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

That was great that the place you work has a section so you could get your car fixed. Look at those plants! Looks like the rain is doing them good. 🙂

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. And that I was given a loaner:) The rain is sure saving me from having to water and saving me money on the water bill. LOL

  18. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Oh my goodness! I’m sorry to hear about your car. That sucks a whole lot. I’m glad that they’re going to take care of it for you though. That IS the nice thing about where you work. Pretty sure the battery on my car is close to dying. I have to take it to the shop today and have it looked at.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s at the body shop now being fixed.:) I had a new battery put in last Christmas so I knew it was the starter that made the car not crank. A few mechanical repairs a year is way cheaper then monthly car payments so I try to just suck it up. LOL

  19. Your plants look so healthy! That’s crazy about your car– I’m glad you have a loaner one right now.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yes, the loaner is great. I don’t mind having to wait to get my car back since I have something reliable to drive until I do:)

  20. Hey, at least you got a loner to drive. I love the looks of Overlord. I think they did a cover change on Home is Where the Bark Is because I’m pretty sure I already have it. The new covers are super cute though.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep, something to drive until I get mine back. o many good books I went on a bit of a buying spree this time. LOL Not sure if that’s a new cover. Have to check.

  21. Oh no on your car! I’ve had a starter go and it’s so annoying because you have to get it towed. That’s too bad about the damage but glad it’s heading to the body shop and that you have a loaner truck. I hope you’re having a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Mine happened in the parking lot at work. went to go home and it just wouldn’t start. That’s where it was damaged too so no towing bills.

  22. Yvonne says:

I’m sorry to hear about your car problems, but it sounds like it’s all being taken care of. That’s good. All those beautiful book covers. I have a few of them. The cozies especially have my interest of course 🙂 Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. Got my car back. Just need a little more work done on the door. I love the cozies too. I just can’t resist them. LOL

  23. Sucks about your car but at least you have a loner. I love all your greenery! Love the cozies as well and those creature books look pretty cool!

  24. Seeing the plantain leaves grow up made me feel so nostalgic. My grandparents had a few of them and they used to let us eat off them, like a plate, it being good for health and all.

Hope you get back your car working soon.

  25. Amy says:

Ugh car hassles! That’s so frustrating. Hope things get back to normal this week.

    I love those plant pics!

  26. Liliana E. says:

Oh man, your car really went through some stuff this week [insert ‘that escalated quickly’ meme here. LOL]. But that is so awesome that not only they can take of your car there, but that they let you borrow a car too! I’m hoping you’re having a better week this week! Lol.

Also, I’m grabbing that “Snowman Shivers” book because it sounds ridiculous and absolutely like some thing I might like. Lol.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Got it back today. The door needs some adjusting as it isn’t shutting correctly but everything else is fine. I read Snowman Shivers during Christmas. Creepy and fun stories.

  27. Guess it’s good that the car thing happened with you instead of with another customer!!
