Peering over, she leveled the net and scooped the fish out of the water, holding it high. A triumphant smile graced her lips. “I did it!”
Her exuberance brought a smile to Craig’s face. “Very good. You caught a dead fish. Now, let’s move on to live frogs.”
I used to go night fishing for frogs. This brought back some fun memories.
This books is sexy, charming and fun.

Synopsis
“By day a frog, by night a man, ‘til de next full moon…”
At first, lawyer and ladies’ man Craig Thibodeaux thought Madame LeBieu’s chant was a strange bayou joke. But the voodoo worked and Craig is spending his days as…well, a small green frog. Now he has only two weeks to find love, or his new froggy transformation becomes permanent.
When she receives the anonymous toxic water sample from Bayou Miste, research scientist Elaine Smith decides a trip to the bayou is the perfect excuse to escape the lab, and forget about her cheating ex-fiance. Then she accidentally stumbles upon Craig’s oh-so-fine naked form, and her science-nerd brain is overrun with naughty thoughts about her new gorgeous night-time bayou guide.
But there’s more to Bayou Miste than voodoo curses and sexy late-night trysts. Dark secrets threaten the delicate ecosystem, and there are those who would do anything to keep those secrets hidden. Even murder…

Fun teaser! I haven’t been hunting for frogs since I was a kid!!!
I used to do it a lot. Even where I live now. We would come across gators now and then. Guess they preferred the frogs. LOL
I actually like the cover you own the best. I probably wouldn’t pick up the other one.
I fell for the cute cover. Was surprised when I went back over to Goodreads and the romantic one popped up. Amazon and the other sites have the cute cover.
I didn’t even know there was another cover until I went to Goodreads to get the link and the smexy one showed up. LOL I like to cozy one better too.
I have this one on my Kindle. Now, I need to make time to read it. It sounds good. I actually like both covers.
I just got confused at how different the covers were. One looks like romance and the older version, the one I have, looks like a cozy. Maybe she’s going for a different audience now? The story sure is fun though:)
The bayou is such a delightful setting…especially when a mystery is set there. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
It’s been some time since I ventured into the actual bayou. We used to take our bass boat and go way up into the small tributaries. So many wonderful things to see. Some scary ones too. LOL
I like your cover. I most likely wouldn’t pick up the book if it had the other cover because I would think it would be pure romance novel. I’m not into romance novels. I wouldn’t mind reading this book though it has such a different twist on it!
I wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog earlier!
I’m having fun reading this one. I might have missed it if I’d come across the romance cover. Even though it is pretty:)
They look fantastic. I have so many books to share, I need to start doing TT again.

Maybe you can start doing the blogging ahead again. I seem to be hit or miss on this one sometimes too.
I FAR prefer your cover – it caught my attention and wanted me to pick this one off the shelves. The premise is delightful:). Thank you for sharing, Laural.
Yep, my copy is so fun looking. Being a southern gal, it calls to me. LOL
I like the sound of this book and I also like your cover better than the one you found on goodreads! 🙂
Yes, the cozy looking cover is much more me, Stormi. Though the other is very nice for a romance.
If I had to choose the bottom cover. I love mysteries set in the bayou.
Either cover could be a good representation for the story, couldn’t they:)
The excerpt is funny! I like the top cover better – it gives the title some life. The bottom could be any fantasy romance or erotica cover.
I love the fun cozy look of the one I have. Almost finished and it’s been a fun read.
