Saturday Screams #56 ~ My Halloween List Needs Some Help

Welcome to my Saturday Screams where I share books that, well, make you scream!

Today I’m doing something different. Instead of sharing a review or two, I’m sharing some books for my Spooktacular Reviews that I did last year for Halloween. I share a review for a scary story each day of the month and I’m using some books from my TBR pile this year. This is my partial list so far, not including some ARCs and review books that I’ll be sprinkling in.

I’m also looking for suggestions, so lay em on me! I’m especially looking for some good werewolf, haunted house and creatures books.

  1. recs-Jamie Hutchison’s Red Swarm, Tim Waggoner’s Teeth Of The Sea, Viktor Zarkov’s Megatooth, Jonah Buck’s Carrion Safari, PK Hawkins Titanoboa, Rick Jones The Valley, Eli Constant’s Dead Trees, Crouch/Kilborn/Strand/Wilson’s Draculas, Mike Kraus Prip’Yat, ZA Recht’s Morningstar trilogy, Nicholas Sansbury Smith’s Extinction Cycle, Michael Stephen Fuch’s Arisen series. Werewolves I’m short of as most of mine are UF. I don’t read many haunted house ones and the few I have are still TBRs!

I think you might enjoy Kill Creek by Scott Thomas more than I did, it’s a haunted house time book. I am reading a really strange one right now called The Mouth of the Dark by Tim Waggoner…so weird…lol. It has strange people in it. 🙂

I might have mentioned that on a review post. It does sound like my type of story. I’ve already read Waggoner’s book. It was weird and I had a great read!

  3. Beware Of The Reader says:

Hahaha as I don’t like spooky stories I won’t be of any help here but rather watch what inspires you 😉

  4. Abducted looks like fun and Tales From The Lake looks really good. I love spooky stories and look forward to your reviews.

Oooh, some of those books look really interesting!

You mentioned that you had a bunch of R.L. Stine books lying around, maybe you could do like an R.L. Stine Saturday or something! (or Fear Street Fridays, which is what I do on my blog–I review a Fear Street book every Friday. But I don’t officially call it that… just in my mind. Lol). I’m looking forward to seeing what books you do feature though!

  6. northwoman says:

Well, this is cool but I don’t read much in these genre. I talked to all my co-bloggers about something for Halloween. None of us read much horror or scary stuff was the response. Good Luck. Anne – Books of My Heart

  7. I have Abducted, but I’m reading about demons this year. That cover drew me right in when I saw it. Maybe I should do an aliens theme for October next year! 👽

Gosh, there was an ebook I saw, or maybe purchased, that made me think I wish I wasn’t reading demon books this Halloween. If I remember what book it was, I’ll come back and tell you. 🎃

I’m all over the plave with creepy reads. Just finished Rattus New Yorkus last night. A rat apocalypse! LOL If you remember the book, let me know:)
