This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.
I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.
It’s been one of those same old, same old weeks. Nothing much new happening. Probably a good thing as I’m writing reviews like crazy for my 31 Days Of Thrills And Chills feature in October.
The weather is still hot with a few rainy days to cool it down a bit. Still enjoying the pool. Remember my giant spider? He’s moved back up in the trees. A sure sign fall isn’t far away. And the leaves are falling from the pecan trees. I can sweep the deck, come back out in a couple of hours, and it looks like I never swept. Sure wish I had a leaf blower. LOL
Have a fabulous Sunday and brand new week!

Confusing weather temps, right? The doggie books look like cute reads! Death by Chocolate sounds interesting. Happy reading, Laura! 🙂
The weather is a bit unusual. Makes me worry about winter. LOL
I love the covers for the puppy books — too cute! I hope you have a great week.
Those pooches sure look happy. LOL
Leaf blowers are handy, for sure. And glad you’re still getting some pool time in. We’re starting to really cool off here now in the soon to be white north haha. although I shouldn’t joke about that. 🙂
Murder at the Filmore looks fun.
I guess I just need a couple of windy days to be my leaf blower. LOL
Most times the ‘slow’ weeks are my favorite! 😉
The Black Tide Remnants looks great. I’ll have to check that one out.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I was glad for a slow week so I could get more done for my October feature. The Black Tide does look good and there are several books in the series.
I can hardly wait for your review of Predators! Michaelbrent Collings is one of my favorite authors.
Predators would be a great movie! I have his Haunted book too. And he has some others I want to check out now also.
The words ‘giant spider’ are enough to put me off Florida! I read a lot of horror this summer and they will be getting reviewed in October plus I’ll be reading a ton of great sounding horror as well! Excited!
The banana spiders are huge. They give me the willies but are actually kind of beautiful, from a distance. LOL I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been reading. I’ve found some good books through your reviews.
oh my gosh those dog books are too cute!!!! Have a good week!
They sure do look fun, don’t they:)
The weather is confusing me and I just want it to be cold! 🙂
Those books are so cute, my daughter wants a corgi.
I wanted to do a 31 days of halloween posts but I am saving it until next year. Not a great year for me in blogging but I am getting better! I will be sure to check out yours, I love blogs during the spooky season! 🙂
Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading! ox
We’re still really warm here but today has a nice breeze with low humidity. Lovely to sit outside and read, without melting. LOL I’m having fun posting for October. Next month is Cozy November and I’ll be sharing these cute Corgi books and a whole lot more cozies. It’s fun to do these features and sure helps me work on my TBR!
Those cozies look so cute. You always have such a great list of freebies too.
It is now in the 80s instead of the 90s here but what I am enjoying most is the cooler nights, much better sleeping weather when you can snuggle in bed rather than feel so hot you can’t sleep. Which is crazy because we have AC and heat. So it’s got a mental aspect. Altho the upstairs is always warmer than the thermostat. Have a great reading week! Anne – Books of My Heart
It’s still 80s here too. The nights aren’t that much cooler. This time of year makes me want to read some cozies, and some horror of course. LOL
Ha yes falling trees Laura! Now as for your link …Death by Chocolate maybe should be one of these sweet death LOL I am curious as to what a pecan tree looks like ….pecan nuts are reallye expensive here! Have a fantastic week and write all your reviews (still have to prepare for Blogoween!!!!).
I’ll try to remember to share a pic of a pecan tree next week. Usually they have small green pecans on them but looks like a barren year this time. It happens about every 5 years. My trees are Elliot’s. One of the sweetest and most expensive types of pecans to buy. going to miss the sweet snacks this year.
Strange weather is strange. Lol. So the other day I went out in a warm long sleeve shirt and my booties but I didn’t even bother to check the weather cause it was already starting to get cool, but it was 80 degrees out and I was sweating!! Lol. But then today it’s a little bit cool out and I am wrapped up in a blanket. I don’t even know… Lol.
Happy reading!
I always have two sets of clothes. Those for hot weather and those for hotter. LOL I don’t even own a real winter coat. Not so fun when we do get some winter blasts though.
Nothing much happening for me either this week. All of your books look good. I have some of the same freebies that you got. I love this time of year – it puts me in a cozy mystery mood 🙂
Fall is the time for cozies for me too. I plan to share a bunch for my Cozy November feature. But any time of year is a cozy one for me:)
Those pup covers are too cute! They look cozy to me. Good luck with all your reviews for 31 Days!
A litter of cozies! LOL
I see we both a book in common this week! 🙂 Can’t wait to see your post for October! 🙂
Stormi
Week in Review
Yep. We seem to always go for the same types of books:)
Haha, look at those corgi books! So cute! We have leaves everywhere, too. At least they make a nice backdrop for my photos. Have a great week!
Puppy power! LOL I walk outside and can smell the leaves. Love it!
With the cool nights, our pool temp has dropped too much for me to get in! The grand kids still are brave. The Corgi covers are so cute. Have a great week of reading.
The pool dropped a couple of degrees. Still in the mid to high 80s depending on sunny or rainy. It’s usually November before I hesitate to get in. LOL
Finally some hints that fall is coming! I hope you have an amazing week.
A few signs that it is coming. It can take its time as I don’t really like cold:)
Glad you are catching up with your reviews! Great set of books you got here!
Here’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
Thanks. I’m working on my reviews. Some come easy, some are more work. LOL
I have quite a few of the Corgi books on my Kindle. They look like such cute reads. I’m pretty much planning a cozy November as well because I have quite a few cozy arcs I need to get to. What a great haul this week!
I like doing my October theme so much I thought Cozy November would be fun too.
Cute Corgis!!!
Death by Chocolate 🍫 yep I could live with that lol 😂
Cute pups and chocolate. What’s not to love! LOL
We had some “cooler” weather last week (around 85) and I can’t wait for real cool weather! have a great week!
We were mid 80s too. Now we’re back to 90s and steamy. I’m enjoying it while it lasts as cold comes next. LOL
Our leaves haven’t started falling in our yard yet, but that’s coming soon I’m sure. I like the covers of the Vickie McKeehan books. I’ll take a look at those and some of your others. Hope you have a good week.
I enjoyed Vickie’s cozy series. She has some other genres she writes that are quite good too. The leaves are falling from my pecan trees to allow the pecans to grow. Sadly, this is a barren crop and no yummy pecans for me.
Those doggie cozies are so cute! It’s nice to see a cozy that doesn’t have a cat on it. It’s just starting to feel like fall might happen one day here which I’m excited about! Have a great week!
I have a ton of cozies and plan to share many of them in my Cozy November features. Some with cats and some with dogs. And I’m trying to mix up themes too.
