Some chit chat.

No talking about work this time! LOL It’s all about spring and green and blooming!

My Sega is going crazy. In the picture below, the soft, green leaves sticking up out of the middle are around 8 inches tall. Two days ago they weren’t there!

And the flower that won’t be named is back. I didn’t even see these when they started poking out of the ground!

Aren’t they awesome. They make me think of pink pineapples. LOL I have next weekend off and plan to clean out the beds so they can thrive. And I’ll be sharing pictures of Flora and the banana trees then.

Have a lovely Easter Sunday everyone.

Woah your stuff’s all growing! Must be spring!! Isn’t it amazing how fast some of this stuff can grow? And kinda scary. I’m surprised we don’t get more plant- based horror stories lol.

    Happy Easter!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am so behind on weeding! LOL Everything is growing like mad. Hunter Shea wrote a story about killer plants. Creeped me out! LOL

  2. Pink pineapples, heehee! Happy Easter!

  3. The last few days have been really hot here so Chuckles is hibernating in the cooler house out of the way! When it cools down a bit I’ll be out painting again!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It cooled down here with lots of wind for a couple of days. This morning the skies are all blue and it is gorgeous! I bet you’ll be happy to finish with that painting:)

  4. Stormi D Johnson says:

Your yard looks beautiful! I hope the weather is nice so you can enjoy your little garden of eden there.

  6. All your plant posts have made me give it a shot. I SUCK at gardening, but I am giving it a go. I have some plants that I bought and repotted (hopefully they don’t die) and some I am going to try growing from seeds (YIKES)!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I actually don’t have to do much besides weeding. Things just thrive in this tropical climate! Maybe do some watering if we go too long without rain.

  7. Tammy says:

Love those pink flowers! I’d love to know what they are. And your Sega is really cool. Happy Easter!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m going to show the pictures to the people at the plant store near here and find out what they are.

  8. Beware Of The Reader says:

Pink pineaple! You are so right! It seems that spring is really in full force where you live Laura!

  9. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

Those are pictures are lovely and inspiring. I wish I had your green thumb. Keep it up!

  10. It’s nice to have growing things; I enjoy your photos. You have quite the book haul. Have a great week and a wonderful weekend off next weekend.

    Here is my Sunday Post

  11. Cool flowers! The trees here are budding, but nothing else is. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am looking forward to this coming weekend so I can get things cleaned up and the plants can thrive even more:)

  12. Yvonne says:

Beautiful pictures of the flowers! Lovely! All those books look so good, I have a few on my Kindle. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The flowers just started growing one year after I cleaned up the garden when I moved in. I will be finding out what they are!

  13. Wow! What amazing flowers! They almost seem to be magical.

I like the look of the mysteries on your stack. It’s been a while since I’ve read a good mystery. I think I need to look for one soon.

  14. That really is a unique looking flower.

    Have a great reading week.

  15. Springs back! My grass is driving me nuts at how fast it’s growing… We have no plants in the garden yet (having moved in in October) but sorting out the garden is high on the to do list!

    • fuonlyknew says:

My grass is growing too. My lawn guy only mows when I’m home and I’ve been working two jobs recently and missed him. I hope he catches me today or tomorrow or I’ll be knee deep! LOL

  16. Looks like a romance and dogs kind of week huh? I love seeing all your greenery. I’m trying to get back in the swing of things – wish me luck! I’m going to need it.

    • fuonlyknew says:

My heart hurts after hearing about your loss of Booker T, Barb. This dog lover is sending you many hugs:)

  17. They look like pink pineapples you are so right! Nice haul this week. I will check out the titles. Hope this week brings plenty of sunshine!

  18. Heidi says:

Your plants are really going crazy. Ours are trying to here in Oregon. We need a spell of warm weather to help them along. Luckily, we are supposed to have a pretty nice week. Yeah for sunshine!

  19. Lilyn G says:

    Love the plants!!

  20. Carole says:

Your plants are beautiful. I am not good with plants but I have enjoyed seeing all of the tulips and flowering trees around the neighborhood when I go out for walks. Have a great week!

  21. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Yay for spring! I love seeing everyone’s photos of stuff blooming and growing. <3

  22. Those ‘pink pineapples’ look so beautiful! I’ve never seen them before! I’m so happy the weather is getting better. I was so done with the cold.
    Happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am going to my local nursery this weekend to find out just what the flowers are. There are a bunch more since I took this picture!

  23. StackingMy BookShelves says:

I live in PA so I am still waiting for the nice sunny warm weather. I love the plant pictures as usual. I am going to do my garden this year! =)
