Some chit chat.
This week was a blur. It went by so fast. Had to work right up til Christmas day and I just cooked a small meal and spent time at home with my son.
We finished The Witcher. I’m still not that thrilled with it but will probably continue if the show comes back with more episodes.
I apologize for not visiting your posts like usual. I had so little time and they just piled up in my emails. Things should get back to normal soon and I’ll be back to sharing reviews of some great books I read. Here’s to a fun New Year!
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

I loved the Witcher and devoured it. Toss a coin to your, Witcher…lol It won’t be back for a second season until 2021. Ugh. My husband was home most of the week which threw me off kilter. I didn’t know what day it was. LOL Hope this week is a good one. Happy New Year!!
Until 2021???? What’s with that. The ending hooked me to continue with it.
Glad you got to spend Christmas with your son. Ours was hectic- lots of traveling- and I’m glad things are slowing down now haha.
I started the Witcher but didn’t get too far with all the holiday hullabalooing lol. Maybe I’ll watch some more this week- I didn’t love it but it looks intriguing. 🙂
Have an awesome New Years!!
I am lost in the work-holiday blur right there with you. I don’t mind a low key celebration, and it sounds like you got to slow down a little, which is always a gift.
I like the cover for Deadbreak-need to check that out for more info! I read The Witcher as a book but haven’t seen the series. The monsters were good but I really hated a couple of the recurring characters!
I am like you with the Witcher, I was confused for the most part and didn’t really enjoy it much and still have the last two episodes to watch and I am in no hurry. I wonder if I really should try the book as it might help it not be so confusing.
Hope you got some rest for the Holidays! Have a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
Ooooh ICE and Adrift sound so good!!!
Glad you and your son had time together for the holidays! I haven’t seen the Witcher yet. Not sure I will watch it-it doesn’t really seem like my thing.
Happy New Years, Laura!🥳
I’ve got The Witcher on my watch list but haven’t started it yet, I’m reading lots of mixed reviews from fellow bloggers…
A nice quiet meal with your boy sounds like a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day, ours was relatively quiet this year too – bliss! 😉
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Laura.
Here’s my Sunday Post
Flora x
Well I hope you do have a bit more time to relax, not just to post comments on blogs! Everyone has times when they have too much to do, or most of the time. Quiet is good. I’m hoping for more relaxing this week. Happy New Year!
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
Don’t apologize Laura I know that you are working hard! And as far as The Witcher is concerned, my husband is busy watching it…while I have a peek from time to time LOL
I hope you have more time to relax over the next week.
Wishing you a great reading week and a Happy New Year
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas.
I am looking forward to the Witcher but I have heard mixed reviews on it. I think it’s a show you have to watch yourself. 🙂
I hope you have a great week, Laura!
Have a very happy New year! and Happy Reading!
This week was a blur for me too. So much holiday chaos. Have a great week!
Glad you had a peaceful, cosy Christmas and I hope you are able to enjoy New Year’s Day and put your feet up with a good book or two, Laura. A very Happy 2020 to your!
Happy New Year!!
