Some chit chat.
It’s been several weeks since Hurricane Sally tore through here and I’m just now getting things cleaned up and kind of back to normal. I’ll be getting a new roof soon and have estimates for replacing the front and back porches. Most of the tree has been cut up and moved to the curb for removal. I still have several smaller trees that have to be removed. Some of them are actually twisted. The power of the storm still shocks me. On the bright side., when they removed the tree, I found out there was no big damage to the pool! It’s full of leaves and branches, but I’ll get that cleaned up and hopefully have some nice weather to enjoy it before things start cooling down here. I hope to get back to sharing reviews and some of my usual book memes soon. I’m sure you’ve noticed my absence and I will also start visiting your blog posts again soon.
Stay safe and take care!

I am glad to hear that your pool wasn’t damaged-that’ll be one thing off your mind at least. With the virus issue here, we’re still waiting on repairs from the storm that ripped down our fence last November! The fence guy has struggled with closed retailers, lockdowns, profiteering companies and a backlog of customers!!! Looks like next spring for repairs!
Well that answers my comment in one of your posts this week Laura! I am very glad that the pool is mostly unscathed and I think about you with all these repairs to do. I wish you lots of courage and stay safe.
Glad the cleanup is going well and thank goodness your pool was not damaged.
I am glad you are getting things cleaned up okay and that your pool wasn’t damaged!
Have a great day and happy reading!

I’ve been thinking about you Laura, and I’m glad things are starting to get back to normal. I’m sorry you have to deal with all this, but that is good news about the pool😁
Hey take care of yourself! I’m glad it is improving and less damage than you originally suspected. It’s a lot of work for you. Enjoy some spooky reads and relax a bit!

glad to hear your pool made it. we have most of ours done, except the fence. the shed will probably remain damaged, but mr wonderful repaired the hole in the roof.
