Some chit chat.
Well. I went from running the AC to turning on the heat in the same day. From 70 to the 30s. Winter weather is so weird in a tropical area. Wen fall comes and we get those warm days and cool nights, I love it. Seems like the moment the festive holidays are over I’m ready for spring. So, I’m ready and have lots of projects to get started on so I can spend my summer days in the pool. I’m getting a new shed, trimming back a bunch or overgrowth and tearing up all of my flower beds to start them over. I want lots of color and have quite the plan. Need to get going on it as this is the time to plant some of the bulbs, shrubs and fruit trees I’ve picked out. I’ll be sharing my projects along the way. Hope I still have my green thumb!
Looking forward to chatting with you and have a great new week!

Week in Review
We’re having the same temps here. One day it’s in the 70’s, next day a big drop to 30’s and 40’s. I picked up a few of those freebies too. Hope you have a great week!
Due to tendinitis to both arms, my own garden looks like a disaster Laura! I was not able to cut anything nor remove weeds…
Ugh when the temps swing from 70s to 30s I usually get a headache- I’m exciting to see your gardening pictures and progress. I have started some herbs indoors and am waiting to see if they will sprout. I don’t think I have much of a green thumb
Good luck with your projects! Sounds like a fun time. I want to do some of that too. I sure could use a warm up though- it’s chilly here!!
Dean Koontz used to be one of my top authors! But I haven’t read or wanted to read his books in a few years sadly. Here in the midwest we kind of have the crazy weather too. It got warm, in the 60s here today, but earlier in the week it was freezing! I enjoy a little winter though, but I do prefer spring and fall! Hope you have a good week.

I planted all perennials when we moved here in 2019 and following. It’s perfect because now they are almost no work. What I need to do better planning now is the veggies. I hope you get the ones planted you want. I’m sure if you have a green thumb you always have it.

How exciting about your plans for your background garden! I don’t have a backyard, but I do have a good sized balcony that I’d like to rejuvenate this year with some nice flowers. I had done a nice bunch of plants two years ago, but this past year I didn’t have the time or energy to take care of it. I don’t have a natural green thumb though. It’s more like a black thumb that I keep trying to paint green lol
Have a great week!
Those seem like some page turner reads. Excited for your garden!
Good luck with your garden planning! I’d like to rip up my flower beds and replace them with plants that need less water, but we’ll see if that actually happens. 🙂
