My Tease for this week is from
AWOL
A Character Lost
by Anthony Renfro
I just learned the author is having a giveaway on Goodreads! Go HERE to enter for a chance to win a print copy!
My Tease from 1% in the eBook.
I know, not too far in, but I just loved this and it really does tease ya good.
“I don’t like the look of number 1.”
“You probably won’t like what’s behind most of the doors. I don’t write dramas or love stories.”

Synopsis
Imagine that you are a character in a story.
You have a home.
You have a life.
You have it all.
Then suddenly you wake up alone and afraid in a cold, dark place. Somehow you find your courage and your voice. When you ask for help, words light up on a wall in the darkness. You read them and realize you are in the creative center of your author’s mind. Instead of rescuing you, the author asks you for help.
This book is about the journey of that character, as he moves from story to story desperately trying to find his home.

I’ve read so many stories by Anthony and this is a longer one. The premise is so unique. I couldn’t wait to dig into it.
I’ll be reviewing this on January 10th. Can’t wait to share!

Jess @ Jess Time To Read
I loved it from the first paragraph!
LOVE this teaser! So cryptic, so compelling! Good job
Thanks. That’s what I was aiming for!
I’m intrigued by it all! The cover art, the teaser, the way in which they are labeling their subjects by numbers; great teaser! By the way, Happy New Year Laura!
Happy New Year back! This is a whole new approach to a story for me and I’m loving it.

Interesting idea for a story, and definitely an intriguing teaser. I’d probably buy it for the cover, though! Thanks for the blog visit, and happy reading.
From the outside in this is a winner!
Wow, this sounds so interesting, yet, chilling! If I were that character, I would probably lose it, lol!
Great one, thanks for the rec 🙂
Poor guy. The author really puts him through it. LOL
sounds interesting! i’d keep reading and hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂
I finished it and loved it!
That is hands down the most intriguing premise! I’m looking forward to your review!
It’s a whole new ball game. LOL
Thanks again for the tease. Such a great part to pull from that book. Never thought of selling it like that. I’ll have to try and do Teaser Tuesday next week. The Shining has so many great lines to pull from it. Thanks again for everything.
Sounds like you picked the right cover art too Anthony! I hope you do join us and your right, The Shining is so quotable. Here’s Johnnie!!
OOOOOH, this sounds awesome! I’d love to read it too!!
Enter the giveaway! I’ve won some good books that way!
Talking to the narrator? Very interesting, kind of like “Stranger than Fiction”
Kind of. The poor guy. I crossed my fingers and followed him through those doors.
Ooh, that sounds so intriguing! I’ll definitely wait and read your review to see what you think of it.
I hope you stop by for it!
Oh man. That sounds interesting. I hope it’s a good read! 🙂
It surely is Kim!
Sounds like a great book! And awesome teaser! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
I’m glad you think so!
Ooh, this looks good! Going on my TBR list right now! Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah. I hope you read it!
The question is: what does he write then? I see you tagged it as ‘horror’. I might have an answer then 🙂
Yeah. Nothing warm and fuzzy through those doors. LOL
I will definitely add this book to my to-read books, it sounds very interesting. It reminds of Dust, a song by Clean Bandit.
Yes. I hope you like it as much as I did. I’m going to go check out that song.
What a brilliant concept for a book and I do love your teaser, it reminds me a little of the books we had as children where you had to choose which path through the book you’d read (but obviously this takes things a step further. Thanks for visiting my TT
I used to read a bunch of Goose Bumps books with my son and some of them were like that too.
Ooh, looks like an interesting book! I guess dreaming about being transported into a world of fiction is slightly different than if it actually happened.
My teaser
And safer! LOL
Great Teaser! I’m going to have to check this book out!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Don’t worry- I felt the same way. I usually try to wait until a series is finished to start it. I thought there were only 3 books, oops! Haha. Oh well.
Sorry this is a few days late.. I was having some computer difficulties!
It’s so different and so good. I hope you do!
No worries about being late. Sometimes it takes me 2 days to reply to everyines teasers. I hit all of them!
I don’t even need to be teased when it comes to Anthony’s work. I love the cover.
I know. Sherry, you have to read this one!
