Synopsis
From the author of Be Careful What You Witch For, here is the newest Family Fortune Mystery, starring former cop Clyde Fortune, who—snowbound with her kooky family in a creepy castle—is climbing the walls and combing the halls, looking for a cold-blooded killer…
After their flight to Mexico is cancelled, Clyde and her detective boyfriend, Mac, end up snowed in with their families at a supposedly haunted hotel. Clyde’s tarot card reading mother, Rose, is making dire predictions for the weekend, and self-proclaimed pet psychic Aunt Vi is enchanted by the legend of the hotel’s ghost—until the power goes out and a body turns up.
With a hotel full of stranded suspects, Clyde will have to draw on all her skills—both the police ones she’d rather forget and the psychic ones she’d rather ignore—to solve the bone-chilling mystery before someone else gets iced…

I’ll be reviewing this in April for the tour and can’t wait to tell you about it. It’s equal parts scary good and funny. What a cast of characters and great scenario! I’ve been giggling like a school girl:)

Sounds like a good one. Great title and adorable cover too.
I’m loving it. And quirky titles and colorful, cute covers are a must for me and cozies.
Looks like a fun read.
I’m having such fun reading it:)
I can’t help but wonder if Vi is a person or an animal? Who can talk to animals? Let alone, interview them!? 😀
It’s a person, an eccentric one. LOL
Clyde sounds like a fascinating character. I enjoy reading a cozy mystery every once in a while, and this sounds like a good one.
My Tuesday post features THE ROSIE PROJECT.
Clyde is a favorite of mine. And cozies are my favorite summer reads. Well, they are great in winter, spring…..LOL
I have to question how useful a woodland animal can be but this sounds like a great cosy mystery. Here is my Tuesday Post https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/03/31/first-chapter-first-paragraph-march-31/
Maybe a squirrel or a rabbit witnessed something. LOL
This book sounds like it could be a lot of fun to read. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading!
It si fun, Kathy. I’m having a blast!
You had me with the Pug & Shih Tzu on the cover. I happen to have one of each! 🙂
That’s so cool! I love animals as characters in a book and especially in cozies:)
Love the cover and the book sounds like a fun read. I don’t usually like cozy mysteries though but I like the idea of talking to the animals.
I’ll admit I read my first cozy because the the fun cover and title. I’ve been reading them ever since!
Love the sound of this one! Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
It’s got so much going for it!
I have the first two books in this series in Mount TBR. I really need to try and catch up . . . Thanks for visiting!
I haven’t read the other books but easily followed this one. You can bet I’ll be reading the others too:)
That certainly looks entertaining.
Entertaining, it is!
Hi Laura,
I suspect this one is going to be just that bit too ‘cozy’ for my liking, even though your second teaser about the bear and the snowmobile, did make me smile 🙂
It sounds as though you had fun reading it, which is what it’s all about.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week.
Yvonne
It’s very cozy, you’re right. I am laughing a lot.
Sounds like a fun one. Very different from what I usually read, but your teasers have me intrigued. 🙂
Cozies are fun and easy reads and give me a break from the intense thrillers and horror I love so much too.
Sounds like an interesting and fun read. The cover is absolutely adorable!
It is fun and how could I resist the blurb and cute cover. LOL
It sounds really cute and funny. Hope you are enjoying it. Thanks for stopping by my blog The Reading Rebel.
Cute and funny it is!
Sounds both funny and thrilling! Great TT, Laura. 🙂
Thanks, Jaina. I’m enjoying solving this one:)
Excellent teasers! Any book that involves bears on snowmobiles must be an intriguing read. Enjoy! And thanks for the visit this week.
The bear is actually a very large dog. LOL Great visual:)
I’m not gonna lie, I saw the title, and then the cover, and I was like, wait…is this the same book lol? Cute teasers!! Sounds very fun 🙂
