Some chit chat.
Last week I mentioned my experience at the dentist and I want to thank all of you for your kind wishes.
I’m almost back to normal after chillin this week and raring to get back to visiting everybody:)
I just finished reading the second book in an exciting series and learned the new one is now available. It ended with one hell of a great cliff hanger and I’m dying to read more.
Here’s the thing. I can get it fairly cheaply buying the eBook, but I have the first two books in paperback. I’d love to have the third one in print too but it’s pretty pricey.
Do I wait for the price to go down? Do I cave and pay that higher price? Or, do I grab the eBook? I try not to impulse buy but have a feeling I’ll be going for that print copy. LOL
How do you buy your series? Do you try to get all of the books in the same format? Does it matter?
I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

Here are my new books for review.
ZERO!!!
I can’t believe it. I have taken in zero books for review this week. I’m looking at some, but not sure which ones yet.
And I didn’t grab any just for fun either. I’m sure I’ll be making up for that this coming week. LOL

And here are some freebies for ya!

So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
Congrats on a zero book week! I tend to by ebooks on total impulse normally under the influence of Kindle Daily Deals! Have a great week!
I shocked myself! LOL I’m sure I’ll make up for it though!
I used to keep my favorite series, but they were usually a mix of paperbacks and used hardcovers. No eBooks among them. Lately I’ve donated most of my series to the library. A couple I reread first, but some others, I knew that, as much as I loved them, I would never find the time to reread the entire series.
I donated 8 bags of books to the local used book store once and accidentally mixed in some books from a couple of series. Had to replace those. LOL
Hi Laura! Got ALL the free books! you and I have the same taste in books!!! thanks for the tip! Happy reading! 🙂
I’ll have to stop by and see what you’re reading too! Happy reading. I also have a free ebook page and update it daily at the top of my post. I usually have different ones there.
Oh wow, no review books…I think I made it two weeks with zero then I caved…lol. I grabbed Howl off your freebies as it looked pretty cool! Hope you enjoy your new reads!

Week in Review
I’m getting itchy already. LOL Trying not to bury myself while my mother is here. Howl is a short one but I grabbed it too.
Sometimes it’s nice to take a breath and just enjoy…glad you are feeling better. I have one question, did you have to find so many great freebies???? I couldn’t resist!

I feel much better. Had fun at lunch!
And so sorry but I picked many of those books with you in mind this week! LOL
I prefer ebooks so I try to keep my series together by store (Amazon or Barnes & Noble). I do this just to make sure I do buy 2 copies by mistake (which I have done). But if the price is cheaper in one store than I’ll buy it. I do have some signed paperbacks that I end up buying the ebooks so I don’t ruin them.
You were good with not getting any new review books. I have been good staying away from Netgalley this year. I only request ARCs if I really, really want it.
Have a great week!
I like eBooks because sometimes that’s the only way they are available but my first love is always print:)
Since many of the series I started were print books, and now I mainly read e-books, I go for the e-books now. It doesn’t matter to me if I had print books in the series before. I think it’s because I rarely keep books anymore. I just don’t have the room for them.
Hope you have a great week!
The funny thing is when I start a series as eBooks, if I really love them I’ll turn around and get the print copies. LOL
On the book collecting front it depends… I don’t actually ever buy eBooks anyway as I still prefer hard copies (just get review copies electronically). I used to try and get consistent series of books but gave that up and buy whatever’s on sale now – so many of my book series are a hodge-podge of sizes and covers.
The other dilemma is paperback and hard cover. I still haven’t bought the third book in the Divergent series because it’s only out in hard cover and My other ones are paperback.
Thank’s for the freebies. Off The Grid sounds interesting. Not like I need more books, but I can never rest a good freebie.
The dilemma of getting the printed copy or the eCopy of a new book coming out. Well if it’s not Ilona Andrews or Patricia Briggs, but still an author I look forward too I try to see if my library will have it in either format. I make sure to sign up for notifications of when they get books in of the authors I like, so I can place them on hold. If they won’t have it or I can’t wait and I really want to own it, I’ll go eCopy and if I still want the print I wait for the price to go down. I pre-ordered an eCopy of Magic Shift by Ilona Andrews; because the book copy is so $$, but I own every book in the Kate Daniels series in eCopy and paperback (can’t help it) some days I want eCopy others a book, but back to the purchasing. I’ll eventually get the paperback to have with my collection once the price goes down.
Happy Reading and thank you for stoping by my blog. ^_^
Yeah, I follow the author and add the book to my wishlist on Amazon so I’m notified of sales. Then I’ll grab it.
Untold Tales–definitely looking that one up.
It’s a goodie, Elisabeth!
Glad you are feeling better. Isn’t it nice to have a week where you don’t take in any books? I love those weeks!
It’s been 2 weeks and I’m finally myself again. It has been nice to be quiet but I miss commenting on others posts and will make up for lost time:)
I am glad to hear you are feeling better. When I have the first books of a series in paperback I often just cave and but the rest in paperback as well. It feels nice to have a series in the same format. I have a limited budget for books and often spent it on books by my favourite authors which I often buy in print even thought the e-copies are cheaper. I am weird like that, even though when I buy the e-copies are cheaper and then I would be able to buy more books. I rather buy the pricier print copies as most of the books I receive for review are in e-format and I like reading print copies once in a while.
Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
I know. I have to have those lovelies in print. LOL
Glad you are doing better. If I want to purchase a print book that I read either in e-form or from the library, I usually wait to see if it comes down in price.
Yep. I watch for those sales too!
Glad you are doing better!
I try and get the same format with all my books, so I understand your dilemma!
Enjoy your new reads!
Naomi @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
I do have some that are all eBooks but I prefer print. Guess I’m old school. LOL
Zero review books? Take a breath and enjoy! I got caught up with my review ARCs a couple of weeks ago and have been doing a lot of “me” reading. It has been heaven. Have a wonderful week. 🙂
I didn’t take any new ones in. But I have some long overdue ones that didn’t really have a time limit that I’m slowly working on too.
Omg, that Death by Salsa cover has me craving salsa now. Mmmmmm….
LOL I bet the book will make ya drool! Better have some tortilla chips.
I’m so glad your teeth aren’t bothering you this week, Lauren!
Well done on not getting any new review books 🙂 I wish I was as strong as you… I have started getting e-mails from some publishers, with a widget for Netgalley, where I’m pre-approved for the title they e-mail me about. And because I’m so weak, I click through and voilà, one more book to review 😉
You did get quite a few new books anyway, though. And they look good! I hope you’ll enjoy them all.
Have a great rest of the week and happy reading.
Netgalley is deadly. LOL I get those emails too and sometimes I don’t automatically delete them and Bam, a new review book. LOL
I bought the first Outlander book by Diana Gabaldon in ebook format because I couldn’t wait for the paperback to arrive! From now on, I’m going to exercise patience and either buy the paperback OR ebook, not both, no matter how excited I am. 🙂
I’ve done that too. Impulse buying is bad for my budget. LOL
There’s a good amount of series that I started as freebies or that were cheap. Books can get expensive, especially some e-newbies that are as high as 15 or 25€ !! I never buy those, I wait for a possible price drop. Sometimes, I see a review… and I can’t resist if the praise is enthusiastic and the price reasonable 🙂
I’ve done that too. Freebies or gifts or for review. I usually end up getting those in ebook.
You have a great batch of books, as usual. You know, it depends on the series if I buy them all in the same format, if at all. If I really love the series, then I like them to be all in print. If it’s a series I like, but probably won’t re-read or it’s not a favorite author, then I don’t mine ebook. Have fun figuring that one out. 😉
I’ll always prefer print. I just love being able to walk over and pull a favorite off the shelf. They are easier for me when reviewing too.
I’ve been known to do both with the ebook and print these days. But, mostly because I’m so swamped with books, I wait for the print to come down in price and pick it up. It’s crazy, I know but it’s what I do when pinching the pennies. *sigh* Hope you have a great week!
Yeah. I’ll never give up on print and watch for those sales too!
