Some chit chat.
It looks like we have another tropical storm on the way. Right now Sally dumped a lot of rain on the southern tip of Florida. Now it’s beginning it’s emergence into the Gulf. Latest updates have it slowing down which will allow the storm to strengthen. And that also means a prolonged event with rain and Category 1 winds. We are in the center of the track but that could change now that it’s off of land. This is the peak time for hurricanes and there are several more disturbances out there. Crossing my fingers and toes for everyone.
Stay safe and take care!

That Play Dead cover made me squeal. Too cute! I hope you are safe and that the hurricane season is kind to you.
I know. I love that Collie wearing glasses! Got my fingers crossed about the storm, thanks:)
Yes, everyone in Sally’s way…I pray you are all safe. This is a time of such upheaval in so many ways, fires in California, trouble in Washington, and …hurricanes. Is God trying to tell us something? I wonder. Oh, yeah…I just finished my 30th novel yesterday. The 7th Spookie Town Murder Mystery, When the Fireflies Returned…YEAH! My 6 Spookie Towns are my biggest sellers, even ahead of my Dinosaur Lake books, and I had such a hard time finishing it with an unusual depression (for me) the last six months over the pandemic. But I did finish (took me 8 months) and I can’t wait to release it. Hope all is well with you, friend. Thanks for highlighting my Dinosaur Lake. Stay safe!! Kathryn Meyer Griffith
I seen on the weather all those little swirls in the ocean! Hope they don’t get to bad for you guys down that way! Your hurricane season is like my tornado season in the spring!
Some fun freebies! Reading Misfits right now, not a lot happening but I think it’s getting ready to ramp up a bit as they are after the guy they want to leave in the woods. 🙂
We had a lot of rain in Florida yesterday. I hope you aren’t hit by the storm.
Love the looks of your books. I have a few of those freebies too. Have a great week!
Crossing my fingers for you too Laura! I wish all this rain could go to these regions on fire!
Thinking of you. Stay safe over there!
I hope the storm misses you all, Laura. You have a lovely book haul – I love the look of Stiff in the Sand, too! I hope you have a great week:))
Isn’t it time for vacation yet? Stay safe and I hope it doesn’t hit your area directly or too hard.
Anne – Books of my Heart Here is my Sunday Post
Gosh I hope it doesn’t strengthen! We are getting into prime time for hurricanes and it feels like we have already had enough. The west coast is burning and now another hurricane. Stay safe!
Stay safe with all the madness happening in the Gulf! Enjoy all your new books and have a great week.
I am in Louisiana and Laura missed us and hopefully Sally too. Just rain and winds. Stay safe and keep reading.
I hope you guys escape the worst of it. And I just saw a review for Shea’s book over at BookerT’s. Sounds fun!
Be well this week!
Stay safe! I hope Sally dies out before it hits you guys.
Hope the storm misses you Laura, take care!
it looked like the storm was going to turn the panhandle way, but so far, so good. wind and rain i can live with, but too much makes me antsy. keeping my fingers crossed for all of us
