Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page.
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Inside, He slept. Here, on the outskirts of Kerrville’s hill country, Momma fumed. Eyes closed tho the horrors yet to be seen, she shook with rage. Angry or not, she knew the End, like a jilted lover, had come for her. She would not go without a fight.

  1. Can I “cheat” just a little? Today I’m reading a Beta Read, and I don’t think I should share from that; but I have a quote from Sunday that’s too good not to share. It’s from Scott Nicholson’ s AFTER: FIRST LIGHT:
“But try telling that to a scientist. They looked at facts instead of the truth.”
    Good quote, exciting book/series.

I remember that! Are you liking the book? I’ve been reading Scott’s books for years and was delighted to meet him on Goodreads.

      • Loved it! Going to read the remaining 3—but I finished the beta read (fascinating) and tonight is all for the book I’ve been awaiting. Published today: Paul Cornell’s THE SEVERED STREETS, sequel to his fabulous LONDON FALLING [multiple fist-pumps and cheering] .Really pumped for this one:D

I’ve not heard of this series before… sounds great though!
