This is a funny one!
December the 22nd
I was sitting in my living room reading a Stephen King book – “Duma Key.” The doorbell rang. I grabbed my gun and walked over to it. I looked out the peep hole as a zombie shambled down off the porch. There were four of them out there. All zombied up, rotting, bloody, fresh from the grave, and they were all dressed like carolers and holding caroling books. One had it upside down, two had theirs sideways, and the smart one, who rang the doorbell, had his right side up.

It’s always unnerving when zombies in books are smart. There is a moment in Jonathan Maberry’s Benny Imura series when the main character is about to take out a zombie and the thing dodges his sword. I think I obsessed about the moment for a week.
Yeah, it caught me unaware in these too! The normal zombies are bad enough.
Bah ha ha! This is fantastic! What a clever way to put a twist to the holiday buzz; I’m going to look into this one! Have a lovely weekend Laura 🙂
I loved these. One for each holiday and the extra one was very interesting. I could this idea going somewhere.
I’m not much into zombie stories, but then … who knew I’d think Zombieland (Woody Harrell movie) would be so funny? This sounds like an entertaining story.

It’s all in fun with these. Don’t get me wrong, the zombies are zombies, but the author adds a light hearted tone to some of it.
