Some chit chat.

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!

I’m officially a great auntie as of March 9th. The sweet baby girl has arrived. I’ve seen pictures and she has the cutest little nose.

I just love babies. My son came as quite a surprise. My husband had been married before and his first wife already had a child from a previous marriage. When they had trouble conceiving, he’d discovered he probably couldn’t have children. Imagine our surprise when I got sick at the smell of hamburger cooking and took a test. Yep, I was pregnant.

With my rare blood type and RH Negative factor, I had to have ultrasounds twice a month. When my son came into the world, I recognized his sweet face from the pictures. My sweet boy with the Gerber baby face!

I remember crying when he got his first tooth. I loved his gummy smile. LOL

What a joy and a blessing are our children. No matter how old they are, they’ll always be our precious babies.

Got lots of books to share, so let’s get to it!

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

Congrats on being an aunt! A nice mix of books as always- I was wondering about your freebies and whether you got all those or not! Lol.

    Have a great week. 🙂

    • Aww congrats! That’s lovely!
Thanks for including the freebies 🙂 I love the cover of Onyx Webb, it’s so creepy!
I just finished reading Uprooted by Naomi Novik and it was a really nice fantasy stand-alone. Hope you have a lovely Sunday!

      • fuonlyknew says:

I enjoy browsing for the freebies. I do grab some now and then. Try to mix it up for everyone:) And thanks so much. I’m so excited to be a great auntie and ready to get to the spoiling part. LOL

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks, Greg! I’m thrilled she’s finally here:) Heck no, I don’t grab all those freebies. Could you imagine how many kindle readers I would need to contain them all. LOL

  2. Deborah says:

Awww… love your pregnancy story Laura. I always wanted kids but didn’t meet anyone and was a bit too old when I gave up and tried to go it alone. But I love kids and a big congratulations on becoming a great auntie!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks Deborah. I turned 35 just days after my son was born. Almost too late for me. I never planned on having kids and now can’t imagine how my life would be without him.

  3. Congrats, great-aunt Laura! I agree, babies just make me happy! And thanks for sharing your own story with getting pregnant when you thought you wouldn’t! I was lucky, for each of my four kids, we talked about wanting a baby, and within a couple of months at most, I was pregnant. I guess we’re a good mix 😀
You got some great-looking books this week, enjoy!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

You are truly blessed also Lexxie. I can’t imagine where I’d be right now if I’d not had my son. He’s the gift that keeps on giving!

  4. Yay, the baby finally came! 🙂 Babies are cute as long as they go home with others and don’t come home with me….lol. Got a lot of interesting books there and some cool looking ones for review, can’t wait. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I used to feel that way too. Was scared of babies until I had my own. Now I don’t want to let go of them. LOL I do have a lot of great books. Can’t wait to read and share them!

  5. Shandy says:

Congrats on your neice! Both my kids were wonderful little surprises. Great lists, I’m going to checkout some of those freebies right now.

  6. Laura says:

  7. Lola says:

Just read your review for The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum book and I am glad you enjoyed it as well. I didn’t figure out who the killer was until the main character figured it out, so that’s great you figured that out. And that you knew which book she was reading.

Congrats on being a great auntie! Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I figured it out because I was talking about it with my son and it just hit me. I wrote down who I thought the killer was and had my son hang on to it until I finished and I was right. Made the book even more fun to read. Thanks so much Lola.

  8. Congrats on the new baby! I do love sweet little ones. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy your books, too…you have some tempting ones. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks so much. She’s a long ways away from me so I need to see her before she grows up and graduates high school. LOL Just kidding. It seems they grow way too fast.

  9. Congrats on the new niece! We are enjoying our 3 week old granddaughter, she has changed so much already. Have a great week.

  10. Aww.. baby’s are so adorable. Congratulations on being a great auntie. My son is only 4, but he is growing way to fast and when I call him “baby” he says no mommy I’m a big boy not a baby. ^_^
Lots of lovely books. Have a great week and happy reading!

  11. Magnetic Shift sounds good, hope you enjoy and have a great week

  12. Awesome haul this week!! Of Sound Mind looks really interesting! I hope you enjoy all your new reads 😀

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks Tracy. Of Sound Mind is on my list for next week. I have a bunch of the author’s books and want to dive into them before I get too busy.

  13. Congrats! Babies are popping out everywhere and they’re just so cuddable! 🙂 Nice book haul! Oh! I have The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum from netGalley. I need to get to that. And about 500 other review books. Not all NetGalley. And maybe not 500, but a lot. LOL

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m trying hard to avoid Netgalley and Edelweiss. I am now reading the book I request and writing the review immediately before requesting another. Then the reviews are ready when the publisher wants them released.

  14. atothewr says:

I know that my kids are growing up way too fast. At five and seven now. I know it is going to go fast. I have to go check out your reviews for Ellie Jordan. Hope you are loving that series as much as I do.

    • fuonlyknew says:

They sure do grow up fast. My son is now about 6 inches taller than I am. LOL I love the Ellie Jordan series. Just finsihed the 6th book and planning to post the last three reviews this month.

  16. Emma says:
