Some chit chat.

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

Been a fast week. And I can’t say I did much. Work was so-so and I didn’t do much around the house or yard. Rained most of the week and I just got the blues.

That’s all over now. I got up this morning and watched the sun rise from my back patio and it was glorious. A steady breeze is blowing in from the south, bringing the scent of blooming flowers and I am overwhelmed with all the different shades of green. A superb day!

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

Comments
  1. I love it when I start my day with a beautiful sunrise or the smells and sights of a wonderful day. So nice. I love the cover of Darkhaven, Laura. I’ll have to check it out.

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Such a beautiful day I plan to spend most of it outside:) I won Darkhaven and am very excited to read it!

  2. So glad you liked Sandlin’s book I am a fan. Yes for beautiful days and breezes. I have my patio door open. 🙂 Hope this week sees more sunshine!

  3. Greg says:

Beautiful weather here too (finally!) The Squad Room, Origin and deadly Dunes all look good… hope you enjoy the nice day!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Finally!!LOL I’ve finished Origin and loved it. Now starting on deadly Dunes. The first two books were great so I have high hopes for this third one. Squad Room is a new author for me and I’m curious about the book.

  4. It was a busy week here, but getting my garden up and going. Still have a few things to plant though but it’s suppose to rain most of this week so not sure if that will get done.

Couple of those books you got this week look interesting! 🙂

    Happy reading,
    Stormi

  5. Dani Chapman says:

Well you rocked the book haul this week! I really need to check out these books!

Happy Reading! Dani @ Paulette’s Papers

  6. Great looking books! Hope you enjoy them all….I am curious about The Hateful Eight movie…I enjoy Jennifer Jason Leigh, although I think she was “uglied up” a lot in this one.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The Hateful Eight might not be for everyone. It’s very graphic and vulgar. Jennifer is almost unrecognizable and very crude. I loved her! LOL

  7. I think once the weather picks a temp and it actually feels like a season, I will get out of this slump I am in. I totally know how you felt. I just can’t seem to shake whatever it is I have going on.

You got tons of good looking books! I hope you enjoy them.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!!!

  8. Dark Haven sounds good, hope you enjoy and have a great week

  9. danielaark says:

Weeks when you don’t do much around the house are THE BEST. Sorry to hear you got the blues though 🙁

“I watched the sun rise from my back patio and it was glorious. A steady breeze is blowing in from the south, bringing the scent of blooming flowers and I am overwhelmed with all the different shades of green” THATS SOUNDS SO GOOD LAURA! Good writing 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thanks for sharing your freebies 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

The sun has come out and the blues are history! I love to watch the sky lighten and the sun come over the trees. It’s so uplifting:)

  10. I get the blues too, when it rains.. It makes it hard to want to do anything sometimes even reading (oh my). Watching the sun, that is glorious. You brought back memories of when I was a kid and my family would go to Grand Cayman for vacation. I would always be up in the AM and see the sun rise what was a sit to see.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  11. katarguelles says:

We had cloudy days here too and it brings me down too. But the sun is shining again so it’s good we are both having nice weather. I’m a huge Keanu Reeves fan so I loved John Wick. I can’t wait to see the next movie. I hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing the freebies!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Keanu was so good as John Wick. I’m looking forward to the next movie too. Enjoy the freebies:) I love sharing them.

  12. I’ve been kind of lazing this past week, too. I did do a major clean on the bathrooms at the man’s house. They were looking kinda gunky, so I helped him out a bit. He’ll have to do the yard this week – hopefully it will dry out enough to allow him to mow! Happy reading!

  13. atothewr says:

Warm weather is starting to take over here. Nice to see the green as well.

  14. I love the cover of Darkhaven. I am glad the spring weather put you in a better mood. It has given me the cleaning bug. I didn’t get much reading done because of cleaning. Have a wonderful new week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

So do I. The blurb sounds really good and I’m excited to start it soon. My cleaning bug is taking a break. LOL

  15. Rainy weather always gets me down but we seem to be lucking out in the sunny and beautiful category lately. Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  16. Lola says:

That’s nice it was a fast week even though nothing worth mentioning happened. I like seeing the sunrise or sunset, although I see the latter more often as usually I don’t stand up early enough to see the sunrise. I love seeing all the trees starting to get green and get flowers now. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Finally got the sun again and loving it. Morning is my favorite time. I never use an alarm clock as I wake up before sunrise all the time.

  17. buffywnabe says:

Grim Tidings looks interesting, I’ll have to go check it out. Enjoy your new books!
    Check out my Sunday Post

  18. Enjoying the sunrise at your back patio sounds heavenly, Laura! We’ve had mostly grey weather these last days and I’m feeling a bit blah, too.
Your new books look great, and there are so many of them! Gimme, gimme 😉
Have a fantastic week and happy reading.

  19. Deborah says:

I hope you have a better week this week Laura – it sounds like the gorgeous sunrise on Sunday was a good start!

  20. Boring fast weeks… meh, not much happening over here, either. At least it stopped raining, right!! At least you got a pretty good amount of books! And print books, too. My hubs would love if I didn’t get those anymore… *sigh*

Hope sun stays shining this week!!!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. No rain. Just blue skies and balmy temps! I’m running into a problem with space for another book shelf. LOL

  21. Annemieke says:

I completely get having the blues when it is raining outside, especially if before there were days with some nice sun.

  22. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

I know. I’m a week behind. But better late than never? lol.

Looks like it was an amazing week in books. A few covers there I’m going to have to investigate. 🙂 Thank you!
