Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

Guess what day it is. It’s the beginning of Sharknado Week. It’s a whole week of shark movies on the SyFy Channel to build up to July 31st and Sharknado 4 : The 4th Awakens. Are you a fan of the Sharknado movies? They are so cheesy and so fun. I love them. I have some fun trailers for ya! Enjoy!

It’s Here!

Atomic Shark / Dark Tides

I’ve seen some of these but will be watching them again. I hope it rains so I don’t feel guilty staying glued to my TV. LOL

  1. Greg says:

Sharknado!! Awesome…and Pirahnaconda lol. I’ve never seen all of any of them but I’ve seen bits and pieces…

  2. Oh my goodness. There’s a Sharknado Week??? And what the hell are those others—Sharktopus? Dinocroc? I can’t even lol. I don’t understand how sharks have just become the ultimate weird thing. Like, wanna make something weird? Just add sharks! I swear there’s a movie or book out there for sharks + any natural disaster you can think of. Lol too funny.

  3. Oh no. Well my family will all be excited for Sharknado week. I shall avoid it. Jaws traumatized me as a kid…my father bless him let us watch it when I was way to young. On the plus side I will be able to read more! .

    • fuonlyknew says:

They are so cheesy and funny. But bloody too. Jaws ruined the ocean for me. I don’t swim it anymore. Seen some big sharks while out fishing and no thanks!

  4. lol – no, I haven’t watched any of the Sharknados. I can’t believe there are 4. Maybe I should just try it to see what I’m missing. ;D Hope you enjoy your new books!

  5. All right. I’ll be glued to the TV, but I usually am anyway. LOL I love all those movies and watch them over and over again. Can’t get enough.

  6. Oh goodness you and my dad will be glued to the TV watching shows but not I. I can’t handle those cheesy syfy movies…lol. They would make good background noise though I guess. He likes Sharnado and all those sharky movies.

I really need to try some of Charlaine Harris’s mystery books. I love watching the Hallmark mystery movies of Aurora Teagarden which is one of her series. Those you got look interesting. 🙂

Happy reading and enjoy your cheesy sharknado movies!

I was in my favorite used book store and spotted Charlaine’s other series. Just had to grab some of them and give them a go. Liking the first one so far.
I can’t resist a B-Movie whether it’s sharks or some other awful creature. LOL I love to tear the movies apart while watching them.

  7. sjhigbee says:

Ooo… I LOVE all those shark-attack films – they are such FUN! My alltime favourite is AVALANCH SHARK – I laughed still my ribs were sore. Do look out for that one:)). I like your book haul and will be interested to see how you get on with the Harper Connolly books by Charlaine Harris – I really enjoyed that series. Have a great week and take care.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I did see Avalanche Shark! I’ve seen most of these or at least parts of them. I’m looking forward to some of the sequels and some new ones. LOL I’m enjoying the first Harper book. Got a feeling I’ll be following the series, especially since I grabbed a couple already.

  8. Sharknado week sounds awesome! Would you believe I’ve never seen any of them? I should go on a binge this week. I love the Harper Connolly books! That and the Aurora Teagarden series are my favorite from Charlaine Harris. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

They will be showing the previous ones along with a bunch of other shark madness. I’m enjoying the Harper book so far and will also check out her Aurora ones.

  9. I’m not a fan of the Sharknado movies, but my first year teaching I built a unit about sharks (and related topics) for our nonfiction unit, and now I’ve developed it into a full blown PBL (project based learning) that combines the nonfiction and research units. It’s about two months long and called Shark Week. The kids love it!

  10. Now who wouldn’t want to read a book calked The Stinky? That is the best title ever! Sorry to say I have never watched a Sharknado movie, but I do enjoy the commercials for the new one each time. I do love Shark Week though. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

LOL I confess, I had to grab it because of the fun title and cover. I can honestly say the Sharknado movies are so bad that they are so fun. LOL

  11. Oh, my, it’s scary time! All of those books are new to me…and I don’t know that I can manage them. Except the cozies, of course. Enjoy! Thanks for visiting my blog, and let’s hope the crickets leave us both alone….

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s funny how it goes. Sometimes it’s all cozies and then those scary ones I love flood in. LOL I’ve not had any new crickets. Crossing fingers for both of us!

  12. Deborah says:

Oh my god Laura – I couldn’t stand it. Even though some of those Sharknado movies are ridiculously unrealistic they still freak me out. I haven’t gone into the ocean much since seeing Jaws as a kid! I can’t even look at pics of sharks! Ummm… but, enjoy! 😉

    • fuonlyknew says:

You aren’t missing anything fantastic. LOL The movies are so bad. LOl I can’t help it though. Love how they steal from other B-movies and it’s kind of a cult classic thing now. I don’t swim in the ocean at all any more. Jaws kind of ruined that for me. Plus I’m always getting stung by the jellies.

  13. I’ve never seen any of the Sharknado movies because, um, they look terrible! XD Maybe I’ll finally have to watch one! Enjoy your new reads!

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

  14. I read a really good book this week called Killer Potential by Aften Brook Szymanski! It’s isn’t a light of fun read, but I loved it. I have never seen any of the Sharknado movies. Are they on Netfix? You have me intrigued. Hope that you have a good week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks for a new author. I’ll check them out. I think you can get the movies on Netflix. Seems like I have some of them in my Que.

  15. I need to find a way to watch Sharknado! Do you know if they’re available on Netflix? I’ve never seen them anywhere in Europe, sadly. Sometimes, being so bad it jumps the shark before it even starts makes things very funny 🙂
Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

  16. I think it is hilarious that some of the biggest stars have made cameos in Sharknado movies. They are all cult classics. You are awesome to feature the trailers here. Have a great week!

  17. atothewr says:

I honestly can’t believe they made four Sharknado movies. Boggles the mind. Hope you have a great week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

LOL Who knew they would become so popular. So bad yet so fun, Anthony! I admit, some of the other shark movies were so bad I gave up on them. Will try some more tonight. LOL May have to do some reviews.

  18. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

You know, I never got into the Sharknado movies. Everyone loves them though. 🙂 Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

They aren’t works of art. LOL Good for a laugh and I like to spot where they borrowed from other movies.

  19. I have never seen the Sharknado movies but I’ve been kind of intrigued even though they look so fake lol

  20. Lola says:

I hope you’ll enjoy the Sharknado movies! I haven’t seen them, but my boyfriend has seen a few of them and liked them. I already got Shiftless, it sounded good and was free, so yay! I hope you’ll have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

If you like cheesy, they are a lot of fun, Lola:) I’ve got Shiftless already. Tried really hard not to grab all those freebies. LOL
