This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

This was the weirdest week. For the first time in so long I can’t remember I actually missed posting one day. I realized Wednesday that I had nothing ready for Thursday and just let it go. I actually felt guilty. LOL

It’s turned cold here again and I’ve been doing a lot of reading. Got a bunch of reviews written and will be doing a new Tag Team Event soon.

Other than the blog, nothing much new to report. I did watch some old favorites on the telly. It was fun to see if I could remember favorite quotes from some of them. Just for fun, do you have a favorite quote from a movie?

Favorite quotes. I don’t know if I do, but if I did it might be from The Breakfast Club. Or Princess Bride… now you got me thinking about it ha ha.

I’ve felt that way too, when you don’t have a post ready and it feels weird??

Yikes, Animal Kingdom! Love that tagline…

    • fuonlyknew says:

Some of the first quotes that come to my mind are from Arnold Swarzenegger. LOL Did I spell that right???LOL It felt so weird to miss a day on my blog.
I read Animal Kingdom before Zoo came out. It’s fun.

  2. I’m so bad in remembering quotes. I can’t even think of one now. And I’ve seen a lot of movies. Frustrating really! LOL!
    Becoming Dragon sounds interesting.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. I seem happy to put favourite films on in the background while I read or blog but can’t seem to get motivated to watch anything new! It’s a bit frustrating when I have so much to get watched. I’m happy that I’m getting lots of reading done though!

  4. sjhigbee says:

Hm… When the Tik-Tik Sings looks intriguing – that cover shouts ‘Have Me’, doesn’t it? As for missing a post – this is supposed to be fun as well, isn’t it? And in the depth of January I don’t think anyone is feeling top-notch. Hope next week isn’t so peelie-wallie:). My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/01/29/sunday-post-29th-january-2017/

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was a creepy yet intriguing read. Yeah, I was all in the first week of January. Now I’ve slowed down. Part of that is because I’m focusing on my own books and taking in less.

  5. feeroberts64 says:

This is a great list of reads! I bought Kellie’s Diary last year and still haven’t gotten around to reading it. I need to work on my TBR sooo bad!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I hear ya. A main goal of mine for this year is to focus on my TBR. I think I’m getting on a roll. Now to resist new books. LOL

  6. It is weird to miss a day when you are so use to posting every day. Movie quote, first thing that came to mind was (not sure if I say it exactly right) “I think we need a bigger boat.” Jaws 🙂

Have a great week and happy reading!

  7. Drangonfly says:

Wow posting everyday is like ADMIRABLE!!! Don’t feel guilty you little blogging maniac! LOL! I have Kellie’s Diary. It looks good! I should get to it. Have you read it yet?

  8. charliegirl says:

I feel bad when I miss a post, but then I’m like “ehh – life.” There was a time not so long ago I didn’t even know what was going on on my blog, what was scheduled, what was missing. It was a little atrocious. The movie line that comes to mind immediately is from Adventures in Babysitting, which I had always seen on TV. Then when I bought the DVD as an adult, I found the line was always “cleaned” for TV. They are on the subway trying to get to their friend, on the verge of two warring gangs’ turf. They both show up on the subway about to throw down, the babysitter tries to intervene, and the boy with the crush on her stands up for her and gets a knife to his foot. The babysitter yanks it out, brandishes it, and says, “Don’t f*** with the babysitter!”

    • fuonlyknew says:

LOL Yeah, you don’t want to mess with the babysitter. I’ve seen some scary movies about them. And some really funny ones.

  9. I loved When Harry Met Sally, and my favorite quote from that one: “I’ll have what she’s having.” LOL

I usually have something to post every day except Thursday…so I wake up on Thursday morning and usually do some kind of quirky family post, or a Coffee Morning with random thoughts.

But yes, I feel weird if I don’t post something…where did I get that idea that I had to post every day? LOL.

Enjoy your week, and I’m curious about Welcome to the Madhouse.

  10. Before the Kills and Girl Undone look good. I have so many quotes I love and none of them memorized. I gave up Saturday posts when I turned 5 or maybe the year before. I still feel guilty sometimes! LOL

    • fuonlyknew says:

There were some good sounding books to share this week. I grabbed a couple myself. I’m with you about quotes. There are so many yet I forget them.

  11. I have a ton of favorite quotes. Here is one of them from Robin Hood Men in Tights (I love all of Mel Brooks’ movies btw. ) “Uh, no. Sorry, but a toll is a toll, and a roll is a roll, and if we don’t get no tolls, then we don’t eat no rolls. I made that up. “

  12. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Good for you for just letting it go. I’m sure it was nice to take a tiny break like that. I only post to my blog two or three time per week, as I make sure I have plenty of time for fiction writing. You’ve gotta do what you gotta do!

  13. That’s a lot of great books you got there! I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

  14. Deborah says:

I’m terrible at remembering lines from movies!

And I’ve been a bit more relaxed with my posting the last couple of weeks as well. And… I’ve just finished a book I’m only going to review in Goodreads and not on the blog!

  15. katarguelles says:

I can’t think of a movie quote but we do have a lot of favorites lol. I usually only post 3 to 4 times per week but I do feel guilty if I go less than that. Sometimes I’m too busy to write up a post lol. Thanks for sharing the freebies (I grabbed one) and I hope you have a great week!

  16. Congrats on getting some reviews written! I really need to catch up… Welcome to the Madhouse looks really interesting so I’ll have to check that out! Have a great week 😀

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m writing a bunch of reviews. It’s odd how some come easy and sometimes I sit staring at a blank page, trying to find that opening line.

  17. I am the worst with remember quotes from favorite movies. I did just watch one of my favorites this weekend and I love how comforting it is. Have a great week!

  18. yvonne473 says:

I don’t think I’ve heard of Picked to Death. That looks good. Hope you have a great week!

  19. Liliana says:

Oh my god, Kellie’s Diary sounds so heart breaking! but I kind of really need to read it! Lol.

Well, IDK about quoting movies, but I can quote you Supernatural like no one’s business! 😉

  20. atothewr says:

Chinatown has a great closing line I have always liked. Army of Darkness has tons of them. Have a great week!

  21. Wow, so many books to go through in your post! I hope you love the new ones you got. 🙂

I love the look of Becoming Dragon – I have a thing for dragons!

  22. Animal Kingdom looks awesome. I have to grab that one. Great bunch of books this week!

  23. No favorite quotes come to mind…

  24. You feel guilty about not posting last Thursday??? Wasn’t it a bit liberating, though?? Just a little?? You could just blog ahead a bit… 😀 I love those days, myself, since I have so many (hahahaha)

You know what I love right now? There’s a phone company commercial out right now where the guy quotes movies all day long and no ones gets them. He’s quoting Apocalypse Now, The Big Lebowski, and some others I can’t remember. Makes me smile every time 🙂 My hubs and I always quote movies to each to trip each other up. Fun times!!!

Have a great week… stay warm!! *wink*

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. I admit it was liberating. LOL I do blog ahead, but somehow, I never finished the post for Thursday. The quote I use the most is something my brother says about everything, “It’ll be alright.” LOL

  25. Oh I am just terrible at remembering quotes from movies. But fun checking in with old favorites. I did that over Christmas break and had a great time with it 🙂

  26. Once upon a time I used to post every day too—no way I could keep up with it now, though. I applaud you! (And I applaud you for letting it go when you needed a day off.)

  27. Lola says:

I used to have a pretty rigid schedule about what to post when, but nowadays i am more lose. At first i felt very guilty too, but it’s more fun when you don’t worry about it to much. Although I do think it’s great you can keep up with doing a post each day most of the time!
Good to hear you’ve been reading a lot lately. I had a few good reading weeks as well. I am pretty bad at remembering quotes from movies, although sometimes one pops up. Have a great week!
