This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

I’ve been so lazy this week. Aside from work, I’ve either been in the pool or on the couch. It’s weird that I feel tired when I don’t exert any energy. It seems to make me lazier. LOL

Now for the big question. What day is it? It’s the return of The Walking Dead and…..Shark Week! I have a bunch of the new shark shows set to record so I can get some stuff done. By the time evening rolls around I’ll be settled on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, bursting with excitement! Are you planning on watching these?

I might be late but I’ll be around to visit your posts. Happy Sunday!

  1. Greg Hill says:

Love the covers of The Deep Green and Spurn. And did you see the Walking Dead trailer from Comic Con? Wow looks pretty dang good!

I’m gonna try to catch some shark Week this week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Dang. The Deep Green are no longer free so I added some other books. Yep, I spotted that trailer. Can’t wait!

  2. Christine says:

Yay Shark Week!! I’m so excited I can hardly contain my excitement! I always feel incredibly tired when I don’t do much too. You’d think it’d be the opposite. Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I already have some of the shows for Shark Week scheduled to record so I can enjoy my Sunday outside. And I plan to spray weed killer and do some trimming before I enjoy the pool.

  3. So do you watch like the syfy movies for shark week or do you watch the documentaries about sharks? Some times I watch some of the shark movies but I haven’t seen what new ones they might have.

You got a lot of cool books!

  4. I’m about ready to throw away my reading list and just start on a nice shark book! I need to switch on to some mood reading and maybe have a shark film night at some point! I’m tired all the time yet I don’t seem to do much!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Some of the free books fell off the freebie list and I added a shark book. I have it and started it but had to set it aside for review books. Can’t remember much but plan to get to it now. It’ll be perfect for this week!

  5. Shark week shows always look so cool. Enjoy! Also enjoy your new books 🙂 Happy Reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m always fascinated. And really enjoy the fun things they throw in, like Michael Phelps racing sharks. LOL

  6. sjhigbee says:

Don’t you worry about feeling chilled – we all need some down time! I’m jealous of your Shark Week – I LOVE those films – my all-time favourite is Avalanche Shark which always has me in fits of laughter. My wonderful writing friend Mhairi and I have promised ourselves that we are off to watch Sharknado V when it comes out TOGETHER so we can howl with laughter in stereo! Have another wonderful week, Laura and enjoy those sharks!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was such a quiet week. I needed it. All refreshed now:) I love the Sharknado movies. Always ready for a new one!

  7. Of course you’d be excited about shark week, hehe 🙂 I hope you enjoy it!

  8. Enjoy Shark Week and all your new books! And have a great week!

  9. Jenea says:

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s a good start. Enjoyed the shows and ready to do it again tonight. And I did come across some good looking new books!

  10. katarguelles says:

The Walking Dead is one of the shows I want to binge watch. My sister loves it and keeps telling me to watch. I have a lot of catching up to do. I have The Disappearances on my tbr so I hope you enjoy it. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It took some convincing from friends to get me to watch TWD. Now I’m a huge fan! And I’m hoping to start The Disappearances soon.

  11. Yvonne says:

Enjoy your books and Shark Week. Sounds like you have a busy week coming up.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. Wish I could take off work and cuddle in with one of these books. Guess I wouldn’t leave the couch with the books and Shark Week. LOL

  12. Berls says:

We all NEED a lazy week from time to time though! Every time I hear shark week, I think Sharknado LOL! Best horrible movie ever 😛 What movies do you like to watch? Have fun!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love Sharknado. And those ones like Sharktopus and Lava Shark. LOL But I also enjoy the scary ones like Jaws,The Shallows, The Reef, Open Water,….So many!

  13. Great book haul! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  14. I have spent a lot of the summer in the living room. I agree, it seems to make me lazier. Dishes in the sink? Ehh, that can be done tomorrow. Need to take stuff to Goodwill? Ehh, next week. I’m not a Walking Dead or Shark Week fan, despite my teaching a unit called Shark Week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

The high temps and humidity make you slow down. You just can’t do anything fast. LOL I love Zombies and sharks so summer has my favorite shows.

  15. Wow, that was a big win! I have to get Netfkx so I can start watching TWD again, I haven’t watched it since season four. I say be as lazy as you want! Have a wonderful week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. The series sounds exciting and now I have all of them! Binge read is coming. LOL You have some tough episodes coming at you when you get to TWD again.

  16. Whoa that is an awesome giveaway win! Yay! Those look really good. Hope you have a good week. The heat here just zaps the energy right out of me and all I wanna do is nap and lounge, too. lol

  17. I’m definitely adding Swamp! to my wishlist although I’m still trying to figure out what’s on the cover. Congrats on winning the giveaway- those are always such a nice surprise. Hope you have a great reading week and I’m looking forward to your thoughts on The Disappearances.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Looks like a huge snapping turtle to me. How can I resist that. And the author has several books like this that I’ve enjoyed.

  18. I hope you enjoy Christina Leigh Pritchard’s books! That’s a great win! 🙂

  19. What a fantastic array of covers to illustrate your new books – enjoy Laura!

  20. Enjoy your new books and your new shark week shows!!

  21. “It’s weird when that I feel tired when I don’t exert any energy. It seems to make me lazier.” LOL Still laughing at that line. I can so relate. 🙂 And lazy days by the pool is pretty much my idea of heaven.

I’m not much of a TV watcher and have never seen The Walking Dead. I usually follow GoT when it’s on but otherwise it’s rare I watch any TV. I’ve been hearing good things about The Disappearances!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s definitely not good for me to be idle. LOL I’m getting ready to start watching GOT. Never watched it and it’s time I started from the beginning.

  22. Drangonfly says:

hey being lazy is the way to go babe! enjoy! oh I got the Disappearances too! can’t wait to read it so we can chat with you about it 🙂

  23. Happy I was able to still pick up One Pissed Off Shark!
    sherry @ fundinmental

  24. I’ve been curious about THE DISAPPEARANCES, so I hope you like that one. We’ve been watching Shark Week too. It reminds me how amazing these sharks are. Happy reading and lazing on the couch to watch your shows! 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I plan to start reading it next week. Almost did last night but I had to finish another book first. LOL Shark Week has been fun so far. Lots of discoveries.

  25. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

It is crazy how when you don’t exert energy you still feel drained. You seem to never get caught up.

Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. It’s not good for me to be idle for very long. This week has been very busy and I feel energized:)
